You will lead the front of house providing professional, competent reception and clerical support in a very busy office. Excellent interpersonal and IT skills a necessity.
Main Duties of the Role
- To ensure the smooth running of the office on a day–to-day basis

- To attend appropriate meetings as identified by the line manager.
- To assist with the organisation of events, including ensuring the readiness of leaflets for information stands at partner events and outreach work.
- To assist with training events and activities held at Enfield Carers Centre including liaising with sessional workers/trainers/speakers preparing room set-up, refreshments and set up of Zoom
- To lead on matters relating to office management including supporting the CEO and ensuring the office adheres to health and safety compliance issues
- To assist in maintaining ECC’s electronic database, website and email system e.g. ensuring events are uploaded and attendance data kept up to date
- To act in accordance with all policies and procedures laid down by Enfield Carers Centre.
The ideal candidate must have:

What you'll be doing:

We are looking for two Hospital Carers' Leads to join our new service supporting unpaid carers while the person they look after is in hospital or is discharged from hospital. We know that this can be a worrying and stressful time and that too often carers do not know where to turn to for information and support. Help us make sure that carers get the help and support they need, at this critical time.
You will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering a brand new offer for carers which seeks to increase the identification of carers within local hospitals, improve carer support during their cared for hospital stay and following their discharge from hospital.
Each Carer Lead will be based at Kings' College Hospital (Denmark Hill) or St Thomas Hospital, and will be responsible for:

Offering tailored short-term 1 to 1 support to unpaid carers, working together to develop and implement plans to help improve carers’ experiences during the hospital stay, prepare for discharge and to address carers’ own needs.

Supporting unpaid carers while the person they care for is in hospital via signposting to relevant support and information about their rights.

Working collaboratively with partners within the hospital, to raise awareness of carers and increase identification.

You will also require excellent written analytical, listening and verbal communication skills, experience of planning and delivering workshops. An ability to build positive and constructive working relationships with colleagues at all levels across the organisation, along with the ability to network, develop and sustain joint work between agencies, including establishing good working relationships.
Good geographical and working knowledge of support services available in Lincolnshire and be able to demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the goals and values of the charity.
