About the role:
This is a hugely exciting role that will be part of Birthrights Senior Leadership team and play a key part in helping Birthrights’ meet its ambitions and achieve its potential. Birthrights
To date, fundraising efforts have been led by the CEO. We are seeking an experienced fundraising and business development professional responsible for co-ordinating Birthrights fundraising ambitions – including developing and delivering a new fundraising strategy that is aligned with our new organisational strategic framework. We want to strengthen our longer-term financial stability and ensure our fundraising aligns with our commitments to anti-oppressive practices.

You will be resourceful and organised, with the ability to build great relationships and have excellent co-ordination and administration skills. BEfriend is a registered charity operating in the London Borough of Ealing since 1994, and more recently, launching in the neighbouring borough of Hounslow. Our aim is to reduce chronic loneliness and isolation experienced by local people through one-to-one volunteer befriending and social events.
Role Purpose
To take responsibility for BEfriend’s trust and foundation applications and generate new funding opportunities.
Main Duties:
Trusts and foundations
● Lead on the trust and foundation funding applications which deliver BEfriend’s strategy.

Purpose of role

Chief Operating Officer: NHS Retirement Fellowship
£47,420 - £56,918 FTE

The NHS Retirement Fellowship is a registered charity No. 287936 which exists for people who have worked in or for health and social care services.
We offer social, leisure and educational activities and welfare support to our members. We facilitate continued and new friendships, focused on local branches across the UK and postal members. We offer national support and events, including a hugely popular national conference.
We have a clear ambition to build our membership, anticipating their needs and developing new ways of meeting them.
This is a new, senior role within our well-established charity and we expect the post holder to play a proactive and productive role as a member of the organisation’s small Management Team.
You must have significant operational experience preferably in a similar role in the NHS or in another public sector or charitable organisation.
