This is a new role for LTSB, and an exciting opportunity to shape the way our young people engage with our work from first contact through to alumni retention.
Working closely with the Communications Manager, the successful candidate will lead on our online presence to engage new and existing audiences through advertising and social media, ensuring a strong pipeline of applicants for our programmes. You’ll manage relationships with youth recruitment platforms (i.e. Not Going To Uni and Rate My Apprenticeship) and you’ll be responsible for collecting and analysing the relevant data.
You will also establish and manage our Youth Board and so experience of direct youth work would be an advantage, but an enthusiastic, creative approach to the task of creating the LTSB community is essential!

LTSB does not have its own offices, so you will work remotely, but this role has regular in-person expectations at partner organisations and corporate supporters, as well as occasion travel to our city hubs Birmingham, Liverpool, London, and Manchester. This position will require DBS Disclosure at enhanced level.

Sightsavers is looking for a Governance & Safeguarding Coordinator - a new role within our expanding team to help us coordinate our governance and safeguarding systems, processes and frameworks
Salary: £24,045 - £28,288
Location: UK-based - with lots of working from home, occasional travel to Haywards Heath, West Sussex when required plus some international travel

We are looking for an organised and effective coordinator to provide support to the the Controller of Governance and Assurance and the Global Head of Safeguarding. This will involve managing a portfolio of administrative responsibilities, including supporting key safeguarding stakeholders, Sightsavers global boards, as well as working with UK Board and sub committees, ensuring that they are provided with a comprehensive and efficient support service, enabling them to discharge their roles.

This is an ideal opportunity to build on your existing coordination To succeed in this role you will need:
- Experience within an organisation in a relevant field such as governance, safeguarding, compliance, legal, finance or similar
- Experience implementing organisational policies and procedures
- Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders
- A practical understanding of safeguarding and how to create safe environments (this is desirable not essential)
- Excellent written communication
- Excellent administration, including letter, email and report writing and presentation
- Strong verbal communication

The position:
The primary focus of the position is to support the operational side of the organisation and the Managing Director. You’ll need to be good at multitasking and highly collaborative.
You will work closely with other department team members to facilitate support for the wider team. This role will report to the Head of Operations, whilst working closely with the Managing Director.

Hours:
This is a part time position of 28 hours per week over 5 days (or some of these days) with the working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate.
From 1st July 2024 we are piloting a four day working week across the whole of the UK organisation. This pilot is planned to run for 12 months, at which point a decision will be made by our Board of Trustees as to whether this will become permanent. Success of the trial relies on the organisation being able to achieve the same or improved level of impact in four working days as five, with staff experiencing either the same or improved levels of wellbeing.
During the four day week pilot, working hours for this position will be reduced proportionately to 22.5 hours per week, spanning Monday to Thursday (or some of these days), with no reduction in salary. This will be a temporary change to the contractual terms with the successful candidate. The appointed person must be prepared to increase their working hours to 28 hours per week if a return to a five-day working week is decided.
