FareShare is the UK’s largest food redistribution charity, working with a network of 18 independent organisations to make sure good quality surplus food reaches people who need it most, rather than being wasted. We rescue food from farms, factories, supermarkets and food outlets and send it to almost 9,000 charities working on the frontline to support their communities. FareShare food nourishes people in need and connects them with vital support services to help them build a brighter future.

Every day, millions of people skip meals or go without any food, driven to food insecurity by the cost of living crisis. Yet at the same time, over three million tonnes of good to eat food goes to waste in the UK – enough for 7 billion meals.

In 2022/23, FareShare redistributed enough food for almost 130 million meals, but we know there is more food out there that could be used to support communities in need rather than needlessly wasted. This is an exciting time to join FareShare, as we embark on a new, ambitious three-year strategy that will maximise the social and environmental impact of rescuing surplus food.

The role

We are looking for an exceptional Major Donor Manager to play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing success and expansion of our new major donor team. Working closely with our Senior Major Donor Manager and Prospect Research Manager, this new role will lead on nurturing high-value relationships with prospective major donors who have capacity to give between £10k and £100k to FareShare, and develop and deliver a calendar of high-value cultivation events tailored to opportunities within our networks to strengthen relationships and maximise support.

As the cost of living crisis pushes millions into food insecurity, and the world is faced with a climate emergency, the difference you can make by joining the major donor team is substantial. Our dual social and environmental purpose has never resonated more with donors and we have just launched an ambitious strategy to double the number of meals we can provide, amplifying our impact and presenting a compelling case for support.

Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with a portfolio of prospective major donors, understanding their philanthropic motivations, nurturing an affinity in FareShare, and tailoring opportunities for engagement to inspire major gifts.
• Foster a deep understanding of FareShare's work and strategy to effectively communicate, inspire and solicit funds. This includes developing relationships across the FareShare regional network and building a sound understanding of FareShare operations to support warehouse and frontline charity visits and tours.
• Develop innovative and personalised stewardship plans, in collaboration with senior colleagues when appropriate, to deepen donor relationships. Craft compelling written communications including emails, proposals, and reports to showcase the impact of donor support.
• Lead the planning and delivery of engaging cultivation events through opportunities presented in our networks, aimed at establishing new relationships and strengthening existing ones.
• Prepare effective briefs for our CEO and other senior stakeholders attending major donor meetings or events.
• Work closely with the Senior Major Donor Manager and Prospect Research Manager to enrich the prospect pipeline, always seeking opportunities within our internal and external networks.
• Work with colleagues across the Fundraising sub-teams to maximise cross over opportunities between income areas.
• Constantly scan the external environment and charity sector to optimise major donor experiences and identify new opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of donor interactions in our CRM system and consistently update cultivation plans.
• Ensure compliance with Fundraising Codes of Practice and GDPR.

About the role

The St Pancras Community Association (SPCA) is a charity delivering high quality services for Camden residents, especially the lively and diverse community of the St Pancras and Somers Town ward. As the Director of SPCA you will lead and guide a highly skilled and motivated team to make the SPCA a community hub and a centre of excellence which has a positive impact on the lives of local residents.

The governance of SPCA is overseen by a Board of Trustees. The Director will report directly to this Board and work closely with Board members.

City Harvest – Corporate Partnerships Manager
Location: Acton, London W3. Three days in the office.
Salary: Between £36k - £44k, depending on experience.

City Harvest, the charity rescuing food to feed people and protect the planet, is seeking a corporate fundraising manager  with excellent relationship-building skills to be responsible for the management and maximisation of corporate partnerships at the charity.

Since 2014, City Harvest has been working to solve food poverty and food waste across London. Every week, the charity rescues over 100 tonnes of surplus food from the food industry. Staff and volunteers sort and package this food, and our vans deliver it, free of charge, six days per week to over 375 community partners across 30 London boroughs.  The organisation provides over 1.1 million meals monthly, with 43% of their deliveries made up of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Reporting to the Senior Corporate Development Manager, this role will lead and manage a portfolio of charity partnerships to an excellent standard. As well as managing and supporting the development of strategic partnerships, the post-holder will build relationships with multiple stakeholders at corporate partners to develop engagement and long-term commitment. This will include partnerships such as charity of the year, London chosen charity, commercial, cause-related marketing and affinity partnerships between £5-£100k. The post-holder will also develop high-quality materials for current and future partners and lead partner visits to City Harvest sites.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working in corporate fundraising in the charity sector or within a CSR team. You will be experienced in managing corporate partnerships and in building relationships with donors and senior stakeholders. Excellent writing and presentation skills will be combined with good time management abilities. You will also be highly organised and will have experience of using a CRM system for fundraising.

Responsibilities

Account Management/ Stewardship

• Supporting day-to-day stewardship of Hatch’s strategic partners including Pizza Hut, UBS, BlackRock and NatWest.

• Integrating closely with our Programme team to support the engagement of founders for corporate requests (e.g. founders at corporate opportunities/ supply chain/ stalls/ panels etc).

• Work closely with the Programme team to develop volunteering opportunities and reporting back to partners on staff engagement (for example Friendly Dragons on Demo Days).

• Lead on additional stewardship and cultivation events (Lunch & Learns, networking events, showcase events)).

• Review and support on corporate volunteer onboarding.

New Business

• Fully research potential prospects and identify new regional and UK wide partnership opportunities, targeting proposals and making the most of links to develop long lasting partnerships.

• Cultivate potential employer partners, using networking and commercial skills to make imaginative, accurate and timely partnership proposals and applications.

• Support Head of Corporate Partnerships in securing and growing each partnership’s financial contribution covering both a corporate charitable donation and launching new employee engagement/fundraising activities.

Reporting/ Comms

• Write compelling cases for support to engage and motivate new and existing funders.

• Manage Benevity and Donorbox for additional donations.

• Use Monday. com and other CRM systems to record all approaches and delivery.

• Ensure the invoice and impact reporting schedule is clear with written contract agreements in place.

• Support Head of Corporate Partnerships to move partnerships from ‘in year’ renewal to a secure multi year (ideally three) year commitments/ written agreement.

• Work with colleagues to collate and deliver accurate data insights and impact reporting and inspiring story telling collateral related to partnerships.

• Develop the brand ambassador pillar of the partnership, inspiring and engaging employees to want to volunteer and fundraise  for Hatch Enterprise, delivering effective employee focussed events and content for corporate comms internal and external channels.

• Collate and share information for internal and external reporting purposes (i.e. sharing best practice, success stories).

Person Specification 

• Superb networking and relationship management skills, evidenced by experience of New Business Development and Account Management, ideally in the charity sector;

• An excellent  copywriter, with the ability to create compelling proposals which demonstrate the impact of our work and present a strong case for support to funders;

• Good knowledge of the UK corporate sector;

• Experience of prospect research, and with exceptional attention to detail;

• Analytical skills and the ability to see an opportunity, make a connection and seize the moment in relation to partnership building to meet mutual objectives;

• Efficient and accurate administrative and organisation skills;

• Good understanding and experience of working with corporate CSR, D&I, HR and commercial teams to build partnerships;

• An independent thinker, with the energy and organisational skills to manage different leads and work to tight deadlines;

We are seeking a creative high value fundraiser who will lead the strategic growth and innovation of the Friends and Patrons programmes. Established 6 years ago, the schemes have seen impressive growth and now bring in almost £1million per year. There is still huge potential for development, expansion and innovation.

You will be an ambitious individual with a background in managing mid- and high-value membership schemes. With a focus on stewardship, cultivation events, and collaboration with the rest of the Philanthropy team, you’ll drive engagement and uplift donors.

As Friends and Patrons Manager, you will:

• Lead the strategic development of the Friends and Patrons programme, with a focus on innovation and driving growth
• Oversee the stewardship journeys of Friends and Patrons (£55 to £20,000), with a portfolio of your own donors giving at the higher level
• Responsible for day to day management of the Royal Albert Hall America Patron Scheme
• Work with the Executive Events Manager to deliver an engaging programme of cultivation and recruitment events
• Work closely with the rest of the Philanthropy team to identify opportunities to uplift donors and secure major gifts

About this role

This role is an opportunity to participate in the global movement to protect the natural world; meeting and supporting incredible communities and organisations driving change to secure a sustainable future. You will be supporting our partners and carrying out grant administration in the Amphibian and Congo Basin Programmes, for which proficiency in both French and English is essential.

The role will be a fundamental part of Synchronicity Earth’s Programmes team (currently a team of seven people), working to help develop and grow the support we provide to our partners (grantees) across our programmes. Please note that first-stage interviews for this role will be conducted in both French and English.

Specific responsibilities will include the following:

• Manage some grantee partner relationships, including building trust and openness, identifying capacity needs, administrating grants, monitoring progress and fulfilling reporting requirements.
• Provide administrative support across the Programmes Team with grant management e.g. preparing of grant paperwork, reviewing partner reports and checklists (proposals), monitoring pipelines.
• Undertake research in focal areas for the Programmes Team, such as identifying intervention points and opportunities to make a difference in conservation.
• Contribute to communication products, including donor reports and applications, to support Synchronicity Earth’s fundraising and philanthropic goals.
• Produce and contribute to board papers and discussions.
• Update and undertake due diligence.

Synchronicity Earth is a UK-based, global environmental charity which funds work that aims to make our planet a better place to live for all its inhabitants.

We are a medium-sized charity which supports partners working to protect less well-known species and ecosystems around the world that receive less attention but face the greatest threats. We do this through our Conservation Programmes, which identify, fund, and support organisations with a focus on: Amphibians, Asian Species, Congo Basin, Biocultural Diversity, Freshwater, and Ocean. Skills and experience required

Essential

• Proficient written and spoken English equivalent to C1 or C2 level.

• Bachelor’s degree or three or more years’ work experience in a relevant area. This could be lived experience, volunteering, or work experience related to sectors such as biodiversity conservation, social justice, environmental protection, community organizing, or engagement with political and social movements.

Reporting, location, and work hours

This position is a permanent full-time position that is based in the Synchronicity Earth offices in Central London, with the option for hybrid office/home working if the successful applicant wishes with 2 days a week in the office (laptop would be provided for home working). The successful candidate must be already eligible to work in the UK.

Annual leave

25 days per year for a full-time position (in addition to public holidays), adjusted for part-time. We also run an employer-supported volunteering programme, where employees may take additional time-off (2 days per annum) to volunteer for community organisations and other charities (in accordance with our policy).

GFS is a feminist organisation with a mission to empower girls and young women in England and Wales to live their best lives. Girls as young as 6 tell us that they cannot be themselves. This causes problems for them and society. So, we offer an early intervention service for girls living in areas of deprivation to have the greatest impact.

This is an exciting role with an opportunity to lead the charity into the 150th Year of delivery and with a new strategy to address need. About the role

Becoming the Programme Marketing Manager at the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women is a fantastic opportunity to help drive progress for women entrepreneurs in low and middle income countries by engaging more people in our work.

The key purpose of this role is to effectively market our programmes to participants – chiefly our HerVenture business skills microlearning app and our sector-leading Mentoring Women in Business programme.

This will span three main projects:

· to successfully manage a marketing agency to effectively market the HerVenture app to women in South Africa (as part of a fixed-term project with active marketing ongoing until Mar ‘25);

· to successfully manage the same marketing agency to promote the app in Nigeria (as part of a separate fixed-term project with active marketing ongoing until Dec ‘24); and

· to effectively promote the opportunity to become a mentor to a woman entrepreneur through our Mentoring Women in Business programme to paying professionals worldwide. Your objective will be to secure 18+ paid mentors for the Nov ’24 programme intake and 20+ for the May ’25 intake.

Following the completion of the two HerVenture marketing projects, you will also lead other programme marketing initiatives in 2025. These will be determined in late 2024.

Following the May ’25 Mentoring intake you will deliver a strategy, harnessing your learning and analysis to outline an approach for marketing the programme to paying mentors in future.

You will also be called on to support other forms of programme marketing on an ad hoc basis, for example advising on development of corporate pitch decks, or co-designing materials for fundraising events.

This position reports directly to the Head of Communications and Marketing, however this is a highly collaborative role and you will also work closely with the Entrepreneurship programmes team and the Programme Funding team to develop and deliver plans and manage projects.

Our ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable and motivated marketer with experience in ‘selling’ professional development / online volunteering opportunities, and in managing agencies and contractors to deliver on fixed projects as aligned to good marketing practices. You should be highly organised and goals-driven, with a collaborative approach, a growth-oriented mindset, and a strong desire to harness the power of marketing to support women’s economic empowerment.

About the opportunity
Corporate partnerships are critical to delivering our mission and ensuring we can support as many children and young people facing disadvantage to open doors to their future. The Philanthropy Team as a whole has a combined target income for the current year (2023-24) of £1.83 million (growing to £2.35m as our target for next year) of which approximately £850k is from corporate donors and their foundations. We have been successful year on year in increasing our fundraising base by building secure multi-year partnerships. Part of our growth strategy is looking at building stronger relationships with corporate partners, having established a strong multi-year relationship for the first time this year worth £500k annually. We have a great ability to measure and quantify its impact, which we are looking to better communicate and leverage with current and potential corporate partners.

We’re looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to lead on our corporate partnership activities and initiatives, including growing income from corporate partners as well as increasing the number of corporate volunteer tutor applications we receive from them. Working within our Philanthropy Team, the Corporate Partnerships Manager will be responsible for the line-management and development of two Corporate Partnership Coordinators, ensuring that, as a team, you meet your corporate income and volunteer application targets. Your focus will be on deepening and leveraging relationships with our existing partners, alongside engaging new organisations with our mission and vision.

Duties and responsibilities
• Manage, maintain and leverage existing corporate partner relationships alongside, as relevant, the Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Manager, including proactively reporting to partners on the impact of their funding, giving and volunteering to encourage further support from them.

• Work with the CEO, Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Manager to ensure Action Tutoring’s fundraising targets are met, and manage an effective pipeline across Action Tutoring’s different income streams.

• Working with the Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Manager, with an end goal of increasing both income and volunteer tutor applications from corporate partners, including, as relevant, agreeing to set the strategic plan for corporate partnerships and identifying which ones are most fruitful, defining their journey, and setting targets for both income and volunteers.

• Work with the Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Manager to support the completion of grant applications for corporate foundations, using the Fundraising Manager as a point of expertise ensuring that reporting requirements for grants and donations are met.

• Working with your Corporate Partnership Coordinators, research and drive new opportunities for high-value multi-year commitments. Support the CEO and Head of Philanthropy in pitching those relationships where appropriate.
Identify potential funders within the current corporate volunteer pool and work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Fundraising Manager to convert corporate support into income generation to meet agreed upon targets.

• Develop new partnership leads using personal networks and networks within Action Tutoring’s staff team and volunteer pool, including supporting the Programme Team in cultivating partnerships with corporations in their local areas.

• Proactively engage partners in supporting us through fundraising activities, such as challenges and events, match-funding campaigns and pay-roll giving schemes.

• With your Corporate Partnership Coordinators, prepare and deliver presentations and information sessions that encourage colleagues of Corporate Partners to join us as volunteer tutors or support us financially.

• Oversee your Corporate Partnerships Coordinators to lead corporate volunteer recruitment, ensuring agreed targets for corporate volunteers are met.

• Ensure the development of clear and compelling marketing materials to engage corporate organisations, alongside maintaining the partnership areas of our website.

• Line management of two Corporate Partnerships Coordinators, ensuring workload is fairly distributed and supporting their development.

• Represent Action Tutoring at relevant meetings and events.

• Ensure accurate record-keeping of corporate partnerships and relationships on Salesforce and any other relevant systems.

• Any other ad hoc responsibilities as deemed relevant by the CEO.

Person specification

This role requires an ambitious and innovative individual with outstanding interpersonal skills. Engaging corporate partners both in-person and online, you’ll be a confident presenter with exceptional written and verbal communication. Working within a passionate team, and with a multitude of corporate partners from different sectors, you’ll be an excellent collaborator who has a keen eye for opportunities and strong initiative. With a successful track-record of developing and stewarding corporate funding and/or volunteering partnerships, you’ll have knowledge of great engagement strategies, activities and initiatives.
