The Individual Giving Officer will work closely with the Director of Fundraising & Engagement and the Head of Fundraising to deliver significant elements of the charity’s fundraising strategy, in particular our Individual Giving income. Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Campaign project management:

Plan, manage and deliver innovative and impactful supporter campaigns across a range of channels.

Operate within set budgets and achieve income targets outlined in annual plans.

Produce clear and succinct briefs to agencies, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Use marketing judgement to proof, edit and develop compelling creative, and make sound decisions on proposals and testing plans.

Support the development of an effective welcome and supporter journey, to help increase the average lifetime value of donors.

Deliver campaigns in a compliant way, adhering to GDPR and fundraising regulation and Code of Conduct.

Lead on the research, design and implementation of key products including Mid-Level Giving and a new legacy proposition.
Supporter Care:

Work with the Fundraising & Engagement Assistant to ensure excellent levels of supporter care is provided to all our individual giving donors. Including the reviewing and refining of existing processes.

Oversee the maintenance of our individual supporter data within our CRM
Reporting and analysis:

Closely monitor campaign results and provide updates on performance.

Produce post-campaign analysis reports.

Work with the Director of Fundraising & Engagement to develop and update existing reporting mechanisms.

Make recommendations to improve the performance of future campaigns based on evidence and data.
Competitor analysis and industry perspective:

Use existing research and insight, and where appropriate, undertake and commission new projects to derive new / further insight and analysis.

Keep up to date with industry developments and act upon direct and digital marketing trends and statistics.
Administration:

Manage the administrative tasks for the Individual Giving team, such as processing invoices, ordering stock and updating key documents and materials both online and offline.

Whilst The Forward Trust is predominantly funded through Government contracts, our Fundraising Team is responsible for generating £2.5 million per year from a diverse range of charitable sources including Trusts and Foundations, Corporate supporters, Individual donors and Events.
Our secret weapon is our ability to place our service-users at the heart of everything we do, including fundraising and events. With around a third of our workforce in active recovery and/or having had experience of the criminal justice system, and access to our community of over 15,000 individuals who have benefitted from our support, we are able to provide living proof of our long-lasting impact and bring to life the difference that our supporters enable us to make in the world.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Fundraising Team to help grow, diversify and maximise income from our range of fundraising events and campaigns. As an integral part of the team, you will support the Senior Events Manager to scope, organise and run our expanding annual calendar of: Special events, Marketing events, Challenge events and Operational/Regional events, to secure funding for our life changing and life-saving services across prisons and communities in the UK.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
Events:
As Events and Communications Officer, a significant part of your role will be assisting in the design and delivery of our virtual and in-person events. These include:
o Regular (monthly) virtual events
o Twice-yearly family in-person events (usually a Saturday in April and in September or October)
o Annual residential camp for 11-25yr olds ( a 5-night residential held in July or August)
Some of the aspects you will lead on include:
o Communicating with our community and other stakeholders, such as venues and volunteers, pre- and post-event.
o Creating promotional and other event materials.
o Registration and organisation of the people involved in the event.
o Coordinating logistics before, during and after events.
Having worked so hard making sure that the event runs successfully, you will of course also be a vital part of the team helping to deliver the in-person events, which is an absolute joy!
Communications
You will assist in the design and delivery of our communications strategy. This will include:
o Determining how best to communicate with our families, including the children and young people, to ensure that we provide the support and services they need.
o Determining how best to communicate with our collaborators, including other organisations, funders and professionals in the sector, in order to continue and improve our offer.
o Managing the day-to-day delivery of our social media, emails, website, promotional materials and media archives.
o Keeping our CRM updated and proactively communicating with our stakeholders.
o Supporting our Governance Team with scheduling and meeting arrangements.
o Monitoring the impact of our events and engagement, using insight gained to identify unmet needs, and work as a team to create a plan to address these needs.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
Essential:
o Computer literate and confident using MS Office software.
o An excellent knowledge of different social media platforms and the types of content required to drive engagement.
o Experience of website/CMS systems.
o Understanding of printed promotional material.
o Good standard of written English and Maths (GCSE grade 5 or above).
o Good understanding and/or experience of implementing communication strategies appropriate for different audiences.
o Experience of design and delivery of virtual and in-person events.
o Experience of working with children, young people and families.

Senior Youth Participation Officer
Fitzrovia Youth in Action is looking for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic person for our Senior Youth Participation Officer role. If you feel like this is you, we would love to hear from you!
The post holder will coordinate and develop our new young people drop-in programme and additional youth action programmes, aimed at engaging local young people into the work of FYA. The successful candidate will oversee the development and delivery of the drop-in sessions, as well as deliver some youth led social action programmes.
