Resuscitation Council UK’s (RCUK) Communications and Engagement Department delivers creative communications and authentic engagement activities that support the organisation’s Vision to 2030, which is to ensure that everyone in the UK has the skills they need to save a life and receive appropriate resuscitation.
Main duties and responsibilities
Partnership Management
- Responsible for coordinating, managing and supporting RCUK’s collaborative activity with community and corporate partner organisations in the UK.
- Act as the central link between partner organisations, and our patient and public voice group.
- Manage relationships with both corporate and community partnerships developing strong new relationships and strengthening existing relationships, liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Take leadership for all operational aspects of our community and corporate partnerships, including the quality of partnership bid documents and correspondence received by the partner, and any day-to-day matters.
- Work closely with the Media and Campaigns and Policy and Public Affairs departments on campaigns and parliamentary engagement opportunities. Jointly working with the Media and Campaigns Manager to align the right partner/s with campaigning activities.
- Writing press releases to announce new partnership relationships and promote partnership events locally.
- Work closely with teams in RCUK to identify and develop growth opportunities for new and existing partnerships.
- Ensure RCUK discharges its responsibilities in relation to involvement/consultation with our patient and public voice group. Implementing and developing community and commercial strategic relationships with organisations, in accordance with Resuscitation Council UK’s overarching, objectives and goals.
Strategy and Planning
- Lead on the implementation of a new partnership strategy for RCUK working closely with the Director of Communications and Engagement and key internal stakeholders, ensuring it remains relevant and develops across the life of our partnership activity.
- Lead on developing bespoke individual plans for each partner relationship.
- Lead on proactively researching and developing a pipeline of new partners whose values and mission align with the RCUK vision, presenting progress in monthly stakeholder meetings.
- Develop compelling partnership propositions and presentations for corporate prospects, ensuring alignment with our values.
- Chair a monthly partnership forward planning meeting with internal stakeholders and key members of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Look for specific income-generating partnerships that will help fund our campaigning activity.
- Continually monitor and evaluate each partnership to ensure objectives are being met in line with both RCUK and the partners' expectations.
- Setting KPIs for each of our corporate and community partnerships.
- Effective corporate account management - managing multiple and high-value partners.
Relationships
- Effectively manage the relationships with partners at all levels including internal stakeholders.

Job purpose
The Science Manager – Super Pollutants will manage technical elements of multi-lateral partnerships and coalitions, oversee a portfolio of research grants and projects, and strategically generate and communicate data and evidence to drive funders, governments and non-profits to work effectively towards reducing black carbon emissions globally.
Scope of role
The post holder will oversee work to reduce scientific uncertainties and bottlenecks around black carbon and other super pollutants to support policy goals and ultimately accelerate emissions reductions.
This position will
Develop a strategy and manage the implementations for research projects;
Bring together the science community and generate shared goals;
Lead on technical elements of the organisation’s work with intergovernmental organisations, governments and non-profits.
Be responsible for outreach and engagement with academic institutions, multilateral agencies, and other stakeholders.
It’s a hugely influential role and will span climate change, air pollution and public health fields.
As you would expect it will require a deep understanding of the latest science and a strategic approach to how science can advance international policy matters on black carbon and other super pollutants.
Tasks will include engaging directly with global experts, developing a science strategy, managing a portfolio of grants, inputting into science communications efforts, and working closely with policy and advocacy activities. Key stakeholders will include:
- Global leaders on climate and SLCPs,
- Academic institutions and think tanks,
- Grantees and suppliers for grant and project development and management.

The ideal person:
First and foremost, you’ll be great at building trusted collaborative relationships – at all levels. After all you’ll be mixing with major governments, agencies NGOs, donors and partners across the globe.
You’ll be confident negotiating and influencing across all stakeholder communities from academics to senior international decision-makers and be comfortable juggling multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
As you’d expect, you’ll be a natural at thinking and acting strategically and will have a knack for explaining and discussing complex topics in layman’s terms. Not everyone gets the science behind what we do.
And because we operate globally – you’ll be a cultural chameleon able to adapt your style and approach to suit.
The Technical requirements:
You’ll bring that deep expertise on the science of air pollution, super pollutants, climate change and their interlinkages and will have led and implemented projects including climate modelling, health impact analyses and action research.
You’ll have managed policy-relevant research and science projects on air pollution, climate change or related fields at an international level, designing and delivering research strategies that inform evidence-informed policy recommendations.
And you will have amassed contacts within relevant global institutions, such as academic institutions, UN agencies, international financial institutions, etc.

The Digital Product team sits within the Mass Engagement Department, which is part of the Fundraising and Communications Directorate. About the Role:
This role is responsible for a portfolio of digital products that enable our communications and fundraising teams to reach current and future supporters. WaterAid is seeking a Digital Product Manager to act as the product owner for our Drupal websites, working with colleagues and external suppliers to deliver our Global Strategy through a range of digital activities such as fundraising, advocacy and mass participation.
You will work with colleagues from across our global organisation to understand user needs and balance organisational priorities, refining these into a roadmap for maintaining and improving our Drupal websites and related digital infrastructure like microsites, SaaS solutions and third-party integrations. A typical working week might include providing technical expertise to colleagues planning a fundraising campaign, meeting with an external agency to optimise supporter experience on the website's donation form or speaking to a colleague in one of our member countries to help them roll out the latest features to their local website.
You'll also:
- Manage relationships with third-party digital partners and brief in new projects or requests.
- Conduct periodic selection, due diligence and onboarding of new suppliers.
- Assist the Digital Product Lead with budget management and financial planning.
- Offer technical support and advice to other teams in selecting and delivering new digital products and platforms.
- Throughout the lifecycle, oversee that digital products are compliant, optimised, secure and responsibly retired at end of life.
- Use a ticketing system and issue tracking software to raise, prioritise and track issues.
- Oversee testing and QA of all new features and projects.
- Develop and disseminate strategic guidance on digital best practice.
- Explain technical information clearly and concisely without jargon to stakeholders.
- Provide training to upskill global teams on digital best practice, Drupal and UX.
- Liaise with the Compliance, IT, Systems, Data Operations and Legal teams on matters related to digital governance and best practice.
About You:
You're experienced in deploying product management methodologies within a mission-driven environment.
- Substantial experience within a similar digital product role
- Proven expertise and experience of digital product and platform management, working in a cross-functional team.
- Proven experience in building and managing relationships with third party suppliers.
- Excellent understanding of web applications, content management systems and software development processes.
- Proactive approach to work planning, prioritisation and delivering to deadline.
- Proven understanding of what makes the best digital user experience whilst maintaining digital governance and accessibility standards, strong understanding of latest Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
- Commitment to personal learning, development and building digital skills across the team/ organisation.

About the role
This is a vital role supporting the Workforce Development team through the effective coordination of activities associated with a number of initiatives carried out within WorldSkills UK, including the completion of an award-winning pilot programme supporting education institutions to mainstream excellence into the delivery of technical education.

Role purpose
The Project Coordinator will proactively support the programming, coordination and management of a number of projects within the WorldSkills UK portfolio, including the WorldSkills UK Centre of Excellence and Network for Innovation as well as the International Skills Partnership initiatives. The successful applicant will work with the Senior Workforce Development Manager in supporting a team of High-Performance Skills Coaches based across the UK.

Key tasks and responsibilities
1. Programme coordination:

Ways of Working:
The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter). This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building.

This is an exciting opportunity to help Cambridge City Food Bank realise it’s vision of ending the need for foodbanks, through an ambitious strategy creating a network of affordable food clubs, financial inclusion projects, and campaigning to change current systems which contribute to food insecurity – and working alongside it’s eight existing foodbank welcome centres.
In order to realise this ambition, we need to establish a new programme of fundraising growth, that can increase our annual income from circa £700K to in excess of £1M.
Through this new organisational role, you’ll proactively create and grow fundraising income opportunities with individuals, corporate partners, granting giving trusts and foundations, and community groups. You'll be at the heart of our local community, bringing our cause to life and building lasting donor relationships.
Through your fundraising expertise, you will have a proven track record of building relationships with corporate partners, individuals and other donors to achieve and exceed annual income targets and KPI’s. You’ll have the capacity to create and craft compelling proposals and appeals that successfully engage and attract donations from new and existing supporters.
Main Duties:
● Proactively identify, engage and build good relationships with prospective corporate donors, successfully securing them as funding partners. Alongside this you’ll deepen engagement and grow our relationships and partnerships with existing corporate donors.
● Work with colleagues across Cambridge City Food Bank, to develop authentic, compelling, creative and winning funding and partnership proposals that can successfully engage corporate partners and align with their needs, motivations, areas of interests and values.
● Design and deliver excellent, engaging and regular stewardship communications and powerful fundraising appeals alongside establishing the associated data and systems. You will grow our income and pool of individual supporters making one off or monthly donations. You’ll also explore and implement ways of promoting Cambridge City Food Bank to successfully attract an ever-greater number of individual donors.
● Work with and support external consultants and colleagues across CCFb and the wider Trussell Trust networks to help secure fundraising partnerships and income from grant giving trusts and foundations.
● Develop, monitor and manage a fundraising portfolio capable of generating in excess of £1M per annum. You’ll establish a fundraising pipeline, including a range of KPI’s that can be tracked and that will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income.
● Forge strong relationships with colleagues across the wider Trussell Trust network, sharing best practice and learning from other charities across the network. As part of a network ‘learning set’, you’ll proactively take advantage of any fundraising training and skills development opportunities and engage with any joint fundraising opportunities.
Personal Specification:
Technical skills and minimum knowledge:
● Strong experience of corporate partner and individual giving fundraising.
● Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills, you will inspire and motivate existing and prospective supporters, providing excellent stewardship and crafting compelling and winning funding proposals and appeals.
● An understanding of other areas of fundraising, such as grant giving trusts and foundations fundraising and fundraising from community groups and associations.
● Experience of setting, managing and reporting against fundraising KPI’s.
● Experience of working with, supporting and overseeing external consultants.
