This is an exciting time at EHAAT. Over the past two years, a strategy has been devised and initiated to develop major giving as a new stream of funding for the charity. As we enter the next phase of the strategy, this role presents a unique opportunity to build on the initial success of this programme and shape its future, alongside a committed and growing Development Board and a dedicated team, and with the support of the trustees and executive team. At the same time, we are bringing together for the first time other important areas of our fundraising, including legacies, trusts and foundations, and corporate partnership under the leadership of the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships to build a strong and focused team delivering across philanthropic giving for the charity.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with senior level prospects and givers in a charitable context, as well as experience across other areas including legacies, trusts and foundations and corporate fundraising. A genuine team player, they will demonstrate strategic thinking, creativity and leadership, to inspire and motivate key individuals and to build strong, long-lasting relationships with the charity. In addition, they will have management experience to unite, develop and lead the team to achieve challenging targets and deliver long term philanthropic goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the strategy to build philanthropic giving at EHAAT in consultation with the CEO, Executive Team, Trustees and Development Board, to support the charity’s objectives and long term aims.
- Deliver a fundraising plan across the Philanthropy & Partnerships team, including major giving, legacies, trusts and foundations and corporate partnerships, to achieve agreed strategic objectives.
- Provide excellent executive support and guidance to the Development Board and the Chair, and take a leading role in building the Board further by identifying and recruiting to its membership and the wider pool of Ambassadors.
- Ensure philanthropic giving to the charity is strengthened through in-depth research, compelling proposals, wellcrafted approaches for gifts and excellent stewardship.
- Deliver regular activity and income reports and participate in the budgeting and forecasting of income in this area.

ROLE
Stella Maris is growing as a charity, in terms of income generation and new programmes of activity around the world. To help support this development, we have created this new important role. The Fundraising & Communications team at Stella Maris comprises about 12 staff members (some full time; some part time). The team and the charity have now reached the point in their evolution where we need to appoint a Major Donor Manager. This post holder will offer excellent stewardship to our existing Major Donors. He/she will also help to identify and cultivate new potential Major Donors from within and outside our existing pool of individual donors. MAIN PURPOSE
The Major Donor Manager, reporting into the Director of Development and working with some guidance from the Head of Major Gifts, will maintain and grow a stable pipeline of income from Major Donors. He/she will secure unrestricted and restricted income from a portfolio of Major Donors to support the activities of the Stella Maris network in the UK and overseas. He/she will produce cultivation plans for individual Major Donors, meet them, craft tailored applications and reports for them.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1 Manage relationships with a portfolio of Major Donors in accordance with the Charities fundraising strategy and giving programme activity.
2 Establish individual donor cultivation, engagement and stewardship strategies, ensuring each prospect and existing donor has an appropriate communications and cultivation programme in place.
3 Ensure that donor profiling and research activity is undertaken on existing and potential Major Donors (within data protection regulation guidelines) in order to enhance and develop relations.
4 Identify potential Major Donors from within the Mid-Value Donor portfolio and help graduate them up to Major Donor giving levels.
5 Working with the Governance and Executive team, conduct meetings and visits with individual Major Donors around the UK.
6 Accompany Major Donors on port visits within the UK and possibly abroad.
7 Craft carefully tailored applications, thank you letters and reports for Major Donors.
8 Support other senior staff and stakeholders, such as Trustees, in cultivating relationships with Major Donors by providing research and other information as required, and bringing them to meetings with Major Donors when appropriate.
9 Build and cultivate relationships with intermediaries, e.g. wealth advisers, lawyers.
10 Arrange events for Major Donors.
11 Ensure that all activity is recorded accurately on the charity’s Customer Relationship Management database, and that actions are undertaken in a timely and professional manner.
12 Extract monthly reports on activity levels with Major Donors, e.g. number of contacts, meetings, asks, etc., and circulate this internally to selected senior staff members.

About the Role
As a key member of the Strategy and Impact Directorate, you will establish and lead one of our strategic programmes and focus on building key relationships, developing a portfolio of projects and helping us achieve our strategic ambitions.
You will be able to draw on the organisational resources, bringing them together around the problem with a clear and unrelenting focus on impact. Whilst it is important that you bring an effective and efficient approach, it is also critical that you bring creativity and vision to enable the programmes to realise their full potential.
As an experienced senior manager, you will lead the organisation’s Workforce Wellbeing Programme, bringing together a range of projects and activities that respond to the challenges and emotional distress faced by the NHS workforce on a daily basis.
Or, you will lead the Living Well Programme, bringing together a range of projects and activities that respond to the challenges presented by inequality and help to unlock the power of people and communities to create health, maintain good health and to manage as effectively as possible whilst living with one or more chronic conditions which in turn seeks to reduce or avoid demand on NHS services
About You
Whichever Programme you lead, you will have experience of:
· Leading complex multi-partner and stakeholder programmes in the VCSE or public sector
· Leading large programmes including programme management, governance, monitoring, impact measurement and reporting
· Working in an evolving strategic and operational environment and able to maintain and direct impactful programmes through periods of change
· Building and delivering communication strategies, using learning and insight to drive transformation
· Leadership and people management
· Co-production, collaboration and partnership working
· Working in a team to support the delivery of team objectives

This includes assisting the Marketing and Engagement Manager with the planning and execution of marketing, branding and advertising strategies to better promote the ABF to all our stakeholders across all communications channels. This role also involves administering the ABF membership, including responding to enquiries and providing a positive and responsive experience of the charity. Activities include creating and monitoring engaging content for social media platforms, as well as developing the ABF’s membership processes to increase impact. There will be the opportunity to develop and implement activities to increase the ABF’s membership.
We are looking for someone with experience of digital and traditional marketing as well as customer relationship management (CRM) tools, data analysis software, HTML and graphic design applications. Importantly, you need excellent verbal and written communication skills to successfully convey the ABF’s brand, and the ability to build and maintain positive, trusted relationships with stakeholders.
This role is office-based, working two days per week at our office in central London. The closing date is Monday 22 April, with interviews due to take place on Monday 29 April.

Consistently tell The Eikon Charity’s story in a clear, concise, compelling way, coordinating marketing and communications activity across the charity, creating high quality content and copy that gets results, and supporting colleagues in all teams to achieve marketing objectives.
Responsibilities
·Research, coordinate, schedule and monitor an annual communications plan.
·Identify, create, and publish content that is clear, concise, on brand, and paints a compelling picture of why we exist, the work we do, and the impact we achieve.
·Write authentic on-brand content that tells the story of how we help young people.
·Use Canva graphic design tool to create engaging content to support that storytelling.
·Share content via external channels such as social media, newsletters, and web content.
·Share through internal channels: important external content, upcoming campaigns and events, opportunities to support storytelling, and learning from our activity.
·Produce regular performance reports for Engagement team, senior team, and trustees.
·Oversee external communications, providing guidance to staff, setting and monitoring quality standards, and ensuring consistent application of our brand.
·Write content for regular press releases and develop relationships with local media.
·Manage external writers, designers and suppliers as needed.
·Lead on and manage key projects such as the charity’s Annual report and Accounts.
·Act as a brand guardian, training and supporting others across the organisation in the use of our visual brand and tone of voice.
·Ensure that activity aligns with strategy, annual plan, and deliver results.
