The Role
The Executive Director of Black Charity Leaders will set up a brand-new initiative to create a network for Black and other racialised minority people, who are charity sector professionals. The initiative will promote the advancement of race equality through the personal and professional development of executives and emerging leaders from underrepresented groups.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating the strategy and roll-out of the new organisation while working closely with the Making The Leap senior leadership team. They will develop the programme of work, the offer, and they will be responsible for generating income to grow the initiative through memberships, sponsorship and funding.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead strategy, innovation & growth
- Develop and implement the initiative’s strategy in partnership with the Making The Leap CEO
- Develop and promote a new membership scheme
- Stay on top of market trends and innovation in order to actively seek out and operationalise opportunities for further development of the initiative
Build partnerships and engagement
- Develop a broad network across corporates and individuals aligned to the purpose of Black Charity Leaders to sustain and grow the initiative through fundraising and other support
- Support the personal and professional development, involvement and representation of Black and other racialised minority professionals
- Develop a collection of resources and introductions which will be useful to emerging and experienced leaders
- Promote the ideas, influence and impact of Black Charity Leaders through an effective network

- Develop the membership communications strategy, framework and processes to maximise awareness amongst key membership segments

Integration Support Services (ISS) is a small charity based in Harlow, West Essex which consists of a small team of paid staff and volunteers. The CEO/Operations Manager will have executive responsibility for the strategic development and management of the organization, the preparation and implementation of the ISS strategic plan as developed, and for the growth and expansion of the organisation, under the supervision of and with the support of the Board of Trustees.

The National Housing Federation (NHF) is the voice of housing associations in England. We are the trade body to almost 600 housing associations, who have grown from philanthropic roots to provide 2.6 million homes to around 6 million people.

Carers Support Merton (CSM) is a well-established and respected charity in the London Borough of Merton with an ambitious development programme of work to support promote and improve the quality of life of unpaid carers from the age of five.
We are seeking a highly organised Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the Chief Executive to ensure the smooth running of the charity. To be successful in this role you will be highly literate/numerate and have excellent digital skills. You will have a strong desire to help drive the organisation forwards in improving efficiency and be able to manage a diverse workload and competing set of priorities. Working in a small organisation you will need to have a ‘can do’ attitude and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

China Dialogue seeks an experienced editor to join its London team to provide cover for a core team member’s parental leave. The ideal candidate would have a keen interest in climate change and the environment and the global role and impacts of China. The candidate would be proactive, highly organised and self-motivated, with a strong track record in journalism, and with experience of managing investigative journalism projects, excellent writing, editing and verbal communications skills, an aptitude for digital technologies and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

The Diocese of Southwark is seeking an experienced Finance Director to support the work of one of the largest, and most diverse dioceses in the Church of England. It serves a growing population and is seeking to grow God’s Kingdom, across South London and some of East Surrey, covering some 15 local planning authorities. Founded in 1905, it forms part of the Province of Canterbury in England and is part of the wider Church of England, and in turn part of the worldwide Anglican Communion. The Diocese is a Christian presence across the diocese and seeks to build and share the Christian faith through nearly 300 parishes, for which it is also Custodian Trustee. The Diocese works in partnership with the parishes and is also committed to investing in its parishes to encourage growth. Clergy, congregations, schools and chaplaincies all play significant roles in its work and it has a particular concern for those most in need.
Reporting directly to the Diocesan Secretary and a member of the senior management team, we are looking for an experienced Financial Director, ideally with an interest or background in church and charity finances. This role has arisen following a retirement announcement. One major requirement for this role will be continuously building financial resilience and contributing to the ongoing shaping of investment and reserves policies post Covid, and the review and implementation of a new finance system in the next few years. The Director of Finance and Financial Investments will lead the Finance Department of the Diocese, which is both an internal function and is also outwardly focused. This therefore includes proactive management of financial assets, and also collaborative team working with senior clergy and other teams and includes provision of specialist advice to Parishes and Deaneries. You will work closely with the Diocesan Secretary with whom you will regularly present to and brief trustees and enable the Diocesan administration to deliver its objectives in line with the vision, values, and aims of the Diocese.
