The Methodist Church is seeking an Executive Officer to support the work of the Connexional Secretary of the Methodist Church in Britain in his role of managing the Connexional Team and engaging with internal and external leaders and stakeholders in the life of the Methodist Church. The postholder will support the Senior Executive Officer within the Connexional Secretary’s support team.
The role will offer high level support to the Connexional Secretary and Senior Executive Officer on a wide range of matters, particularly by undertaking research, preparing briefing papers, and drafting reports for governance bodies.
The postholder will also be responsible for arranging staff meetings, managing events, and supporting projects within the Connexional Team and groups within the Methodist Church in Britain.
The role will require someone who is enthusiastic and with a creative and imaginative approach to developing policies and procedures, and to solving problems. You will be assertive, self-motivated, well organised, and have excellent written communication skills.
