GFS is a feminist organisation with a mission to empower girls and young women in England and Wales to live their best lives. Girls as young as 6 tell us that they cannot be themselves. This causes problems for them and society. So, we offer an early intervention service for girls living in areas of deprivation to have the greatest impact.
This is an exciting role with an opportunity to lead the charity into the 150th Year of delivery and with a new strategy to address need. It will involve working with the leadership team and all departments but also the board and their support committees, the ambassadors, and presidents as well as the wonderful team of volunteers across England and Wales.
A great deal has been done to prepare the organisation for such an important time and so now there is a real opportunity for this role to lead in being a figurehead for the charity and representing all that is achieved at GFS in national events and discussions, to best represent the girls of today.
Our new strategy is built around pillars of Impact, Brand and Sustainability with an ambition to grow in delivery as well as reputation. GFS is aware that the work done to listen to and amplify girls’ voices is important because they have so much to say about what needs to change and from a very young age. This role will be key to making this happen.

CILS, Pathways and Counselling Teams
- Lead and manage the delivery of the Community activity, Befriending, Pathways and Counselling services.

- Report as required to the commissioners and the Ruils Board of trustees
- Responsible for ensuring active promotion of the services to potential and existing clients and stakeholders and to ensure representation of Ruils at networking events.

Harington is an Ofsted registered specialist college based in North London rated good, working with around 52 young people with learning differences aged 16-25. Our mission is to create an inclusive environment, that delivers outstanding personalised education, learning, and support, which leads to further education, employment opportunities, and a fulfilling life for each of our students.
We specialise in horticulture, retail and general employability. Our students undertake individualised learning programmes and supported internships that lead to vocational qualifications and achieving other aims. Our charity has two learning centres in Highgate and Hornsey. We also operate a gardening business and two charity shops, providing income for our charity, work experience placements for our students and employment for 14 young people. The Role
This is an exciting time to join the Harington, as we have recently appointed a new Principal/CEO. We want to ensure that the Harington is able to fulfil and secure its mission to benefit our young people, both now and into the future.
In the next year we will consolidate what we do well and seek to strengthen the areas where we could do better. The Interim COO will work with all stakeholders and closely with the Principal/CEO to review, plan and implement the necessary changes. This Interim Chief Operating Officer role will:-

Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Media Relations Officer:

To be the first point of contact for media and publicity enquiries, cultivating excellent media relationships

To be part of the out-of-hours on call rota for media enquiries.

To help identify media opportunities and to maximise positive media coverage for Women’s Aid.

To employ extensive horizon-scanning and support on any media crisis communications.

To produce press releases, statements and other promotional copy for Women’s Aid.

To develop pitches and news stories in collaboration with other departments.

To lead on media briefings that convey appropriate key messages and thoroughly prepare Women’s Aid spokespeople.

To identify and interview case studies and media spokespeople and to ensure they are treated in an appropriate and safe manner.

To work on Women’s Aid internal and external campaigns, providing media support as required.

To manage our media database and monitoring systems to ensure we are effectively tracking and benchmarking coverage, as well as having robust systems in place to distribute media
What we are looking for in our Senior Media Relations Officer:

At least 2 years’ professional experience of working in journalism, PR or similar.

Demonstrated history of achieving significant proactive and reactive media coverage.

Experience of working with the national press.

Experience of responding at speed to breaking news and reactive requests to leverage coverage.

Experience of adapting to the changing media landscape.

Experience of using media monitoring and delivery platforms.

Experience of briefing senior internal and external figures to convey organisational messages.

Experience of using a range of computer packages, particularly Microsoft Office packages.

Experience of online communications, including uploading copy to websites, and using social media.

A basic understanding of, and sensitivity to, the issues relating to domestic abuse, including the nature of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children.

The purpose of this role is to engage, cultivate and secure support from major gifts, grants, legacies and partnerships across Essex and Hertfordshire which will help shape, deliver and protect our vital life-changing service for the future. This is an exciting time at EHAAT. Over the past two years, a strategy has been devised and initiated to develop major giving as a new stream of funding for the charity. As we enter the next phase of the strategy, this role presents a unique opportunity to build on the initial success of this programme and shape its future, alongside a committed and growing Development Board and a dedicated team, and with the support of the trustees and executive team. At the same time, we are bringing together for the first time other important areas of our fundraising, including legacies, trusts and foundations, and corporate partnership under the leadership of the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships to build a strong and focused team delivering across philanthropic giving for the charity.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with senior level prospects and givers in a charitable context, as well as experience across other areas including legacies, trusts and foundations and corporate fundraising. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the strategy to build philanthropic giving at EHAAT in consultation with the CEO, Executive Team, Trustees and Development Board, to support the charity’s objectives and long term aims.
- Deliver a fundraising plan across the Philanthropy & Partnerships team, including major giving, legacies, trusts and foundations and corporate partnerships, to achieve agreed strategic objectives.
- Provide excellent executive support and guidance to the Development Board and the Chair, and take a leading role in building the Board further by identifying and recruiting to its membership and the wider pool of Ambassadors.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Hate Crime Reporting Coordinator. As Hate Crimes are still under reported, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in increasing awareness of Hate Crime in Barnet and working on a multi-agency basis to coordinate community awareness raising events, ensuring residents, statutory and voluntary organisations, and others are informed about Hate Crime and know how to report it.
This role requires community engagement, delivering staff training workshops, monitoring and reporting hate crime data, and a commitment to a victim-centred approach.

Key Responsibilities:
· Engage with residents and diverse communities, including disabled people, LGBTQ+ groups, and Gypsy Roma Traveller groups to raise awareness about reporting hate crime.
· Coordinate communications and community events to raise awareness of Hate Crime and encourage reporting.
· Organise and conduct workshops and forums for diverse community groups.
· Train staff and volunteers to identify hate crime and support clients to report incidents to the Police.
· Monitor national and local hate crime data, including incidents recorded by Barnet Hate Crime Reporting Centres and produce quarterly reports of the work to tackle Hate crime in Barnet

It’s one of our range of free Support Services that work with adults, young people, and/or families living with M.E. We support colleagues across the team to take part in and share reflective practice, self-care, peer-support and training.
Our Adults Advocacy service offers non-statutory, single-issue, instructed advocacy for adults with a confirmed diagnosis of M.E. We encourage self-advocacy where possible, though many of our clients are too severely affected by M.E. to be able to take undertake this.
As an Adults Advocate, you will manage a caseload of clients, as well as inputting and contributing to the triage process along with your Advocacy colleagues. You will meet with clients by phone, email, Zoom and/or SMS; we can also facilitate communication by post if this is required. We are not able to offer home visits or face to face meetings.
