Working with two highly experienced Programme Coordinators, you will help to grow our existing Youth Development Team activities, currently present in Hampton, and continue the development of our newly launched Aspire project.
This is a maternity cover role for a minimum period of 6 months starting in June. You will be based in Peterborough but also spend time at our centre in Cambridge.
You will manage our Lead Youth Development Worker and Aspire Development Worker, in Peterborough, encouraging them to establish positive relationships with young people, from which we development activities, and provide advice and support.
Joining a growing Peterborough team, you’ll support the expansion of weekly groups, one-to-one work, family support, school-based alternative education, trips and residential experiences. Increasing partnership working with local community groups and agencies will be key to this.
Romsey Mill's Youth Development Team (YDT) works with disadvantaged, at-risk and vulnerable young people (aged 10 - 21 years) across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Churches Conservation Trust works with communities to look after 357 historic churches, over two million visitors annually and hundreds of events both private and public. These ancient, listed sites are among the most beautiful locations in England.
You’ll be visiting sites in your patch regularly, encouraging new supporters, holding local meetings, and raising funds to meet each building’s unique needs. Sharing progress through a growing church plan for each of the 22 churches in your area, you’ll ensure these buildings thrive as beautifully maintained visitor attractions, as venues for events and as central parts of village, town or city life.

As Safeguarding Lead, you will implement the model with a designated group of dioceses and cathedrals on a pilot basis. Subsequently, you will support the roll-out of the model across the Church to onboard dioceses and cathedrals that were not involved in the pilot. You will also provide the ongoing support to a specific group of dioceses and cathedrals.
Northern Region Safeguarding Lead (hybrid work arrangement) You will work with individual dioceses and cathedrals in the North of England. This role offers hybrid working options, working from home and from our office in Central London. This group of dioceses and cathedrals for the pilot includes Blackburn Cathedral, York Minster, the diocese of Newcastle, and both the Cathedral and diocese of Lincoln.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Working in partnership with a group of dioceses and cathedrals, the roles are responsible for co-ordinating and leading the operational implementation of the four work streams which comprise the overall IICSA Recommendations 1 & 8 and Regional Model Pilot Project:
1. IICSA Recommendation 1: the introduction and operation of the DSO (Diocese Safeguarding Officer) and the CSO (Cathedral Safeguarding Officer) roles, including the wider system changes required.
This will include the professional supervision and quality assurance of the work of the DSO/CSO roles, which will include:
Advice and guidance on individual cases and safeguarding-related situations and developments
Encouragement of curiosity about different hypotheses for understanding cases and safeguarding situations
Reflection on self, exploring what influences the CSO/DSO's perspectives and what impact safeguarding situations have on the CSO/DSO
Analysis, making connections with relevant research findings and theory
Quality assuring the work of the CSO/DSO, providing feedback and identifying professional development and support needs
[NB: A model of professional supervision has been selected and the Safeguarding Leads will be trained in the model].
2. Regional support model / Northern Region
For Regional Safeguarding Leads:
Development and piloting of a regional model of support
This will involve working with a cluster of dioceses and cathedrals collectively to enhance positive outcomes through, for example:
Joint working, sharing of resources and other mutual support arrangements
Joint commissioning of specific services
Peer auditing
Development of survivor engagement arrangements
Sharing of best practice
Group as well as individual supervision
Strengthening connections with other Church bodies and relevant services in the region
For Northern Safeguarding Leads:
Development and piloting of forms of support customised to the needs of individual dioceses and cathedrals
The Safeguarding Lead will be expected to promote creative approaches to practice development to achieve good safeguarding outcomes.
3. Quality Assurance development
Working with the Research and Evaluation Lead roles in the NST to support dioceses and cathedrals with the introduction and further development of the Church's draft national safeguarding standards and quality assurance framework. This will include contributing to the design of the independent auditing arrangements as required by IICSA Recommendation 8.
4. The safeguarding function and resource assessment
Clarifying the range of the safeguarding responsibilities of dioceses and cathedrals, what this means for different roles, and the structure and skill sets required for diocesan and cathedral safeguarding services. From this, developing an objective methodology for determining the resources that dioceses and cathedrals need to deliver safeguarding to a good standard.
5. Relationships with internal stakeholders in dioceses and cathedrals
The Safeguarding Lead will establish effective relationships with key stakeholders within the dioceses and cathedrals they are working with - in particular, their senior leadership teams and Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panels or equivalent in cathedrals. This will include providing evidence-based feedback in respect of the quality and capacity of safeguarding functions within the diocese and/or cathedral. This will highlight areas of strength, as well as areas needing development, including systemic vulnerabilities.
6. Relationship with external stakeholders
The Leadership teams of dioceses and cathedrals are responsible for the development of effective partnerships with external statutory and non-statutory bodies. The Safeguarding Lead will support the leadership teams within dioceses and cathedrals in the strengthening of relations with statutory and non-statutory organisations where necessary, including providing help to identify and remove obstacles to effective partnership working.
The roles will evolve during the course of the pilot stage.

Circumstances:
This role will include extensive national travel and the possibility that the locations you supervise may change as the pilot progresses into business as usual.
- A salary of £66,186 per annum plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of salary.

Job Role:
Join London Seminary as our new Partnership & Development Manager. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Safeguarding Officer. The post holder will have a relevant professional qualification and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of direct safeguarding practice with vulnerable adults or children or both. We are looking for an experienced CEO or senior charity manager, able to manage the business functions of a charity that is just starting out. You will have a proven track record of managing a small, prosocial organisation and setting up the systems necessary for success. You will have skills to work strategically, have business management skills, be able to lead and grow a team and work relationally.
As CEO an important goal will be to put the charity on a firm foundation for long-term sustainability. You will work with our fundraising consultant to ensure a steady income stream of core funding, ensuring financial stability for employees and building partnerships with local organisations to maximise impact and sustainability through collaborative work and partnership bids. This requires considerable, skilled networking and relationship-building, both within the Church’s Community Hub, with our existing partner VCFSE organisations and in the wider sector, including local Councils, PCNs and the ICB.
You will also be principally responsible for the organisation’s HR function, risk and compliance, as well as its monitoring and evaluation of impact (for quality assurance and fundraising purposes). This means ensuring best practice is observed and maintained in these and related areas, including line management, service policy, financial management, safeguarding and data privacy.
Knowledge and/or lived experience of mental health difficulties and the relevant support services/treatment modalities is essential; experience working within the mental health sector is highly desirable. In this varied and versatile position, you’ll lead our fundraising and communications team and play a key role in resourcing and promoting CUF’s work to follow Jesus in serving the most disadvantaged people in our communities. You will help us communicate and celebrate the positive impact that churches have in the places in which we live.
As a key member of our management team, you’ll develop and implement comprehensive fundraising and communication strategies to help us deliver impactful work with the Church of England and other Christian denominations.
With a broad range of responsibilities across fundraising, communications, marketing and public relations, you’ll play a leading role in celebrating the CUFs achievements through powerful story-telling, impact reporting and effective media relations. You’ll also develop our digital strategy, with overall responsibility for our website, social media channels and email marketing.

Rugby foodbank's Engagement Officer will oversee the smooth running and operation of the foodbank, with concern for its operational efficiency and standards in accordance with The Trussell Trust franchise model. In partnership with the Service Delivery Manager, guide the development of the foodbank project, including its material resources, financial assets, reputation, partnerships and volunteer body. The Engagement Officer will have a key role in the delivery and development of Rugby foodbank and the growth of its services. They will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders including volunteers, food and financial donors, partner referral agencies plus community and business groups. The right candidate will be an effective communicator who will work hard to create a positive environment for volunteers, clients, agencies and donors maximising opportunities for engagement.
At Hope4 we believe that everyone has the right to have a place to call ‘home’, somewhere that is safe, secure and sustainable, and enough food even when in a crisis. We also believe that everyone should have the chance to realise their hopes and ambitions. In order to achieve these aims we run the Hope Centre and Rugby foodbank which is part of the Trussell Trust network of foodbanks. Hope4 is the overarching charity name overseeing all operations of the Hope Centre and Rugby Foodbank.
As a charity, our clients are at the heart of what we do. Although Rugby is a small market town, in 2023 we supported over 190 people at our Day Centre and provided over 7500 foodbank food parcels. Our staff and volunteers are crucial to making this happen. We currently employ 8 members of staff and have 80+ people regular volunteers.
The charity was founded by the churches across the town and continues to hold to Christian principles working to address poverty, primarily homelessness and food poverty in the Borough of Rugby. The churches, as the Revive network, support the work we do both with funding and providing many of our volunteers. Our staff and volunteers support these values and ethos irrespective of belief or background.
We are looking for someone who can work as a flexible team member and with the ability to share and balance duties according to the needs and opportunities of the organisation. You will be an outgoing self-starter who is confident working on their own initiative as well as part of a wider team. Your key skill will be the ability to work with all types so people from every kind of background because you will be engaging with volunteers, clients, trustees and external agencies such as churches, schools and businesses. It will be varied and is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and successful day-to-day running of the foodbank.
Main Responsibilities:

To be responsible for quality customer service, dealing with all the communication requirements of the foodbank

To be responsible for dealing sensitively, appropriately and confidentially with the range of complex and challenging issues presented by any of our stakeholders.

To lead with recruitment, induction and support of volunteers as required

To support and actively engage with varied stakeholders including faith groups, local businesses and statutory and non-statutory organisations

To support and liaise with volunteer teams on a day-to-day basis
Service Delivery and Promotion:

Support and actively promote services and maintain and develop positive relationships with stakeholders, to encourage continuity and to aid growth

Be the point of contact and the face of Rugby foodbank for stakeholders

Support and complete tasks in a timely and accurate fashion

Further develop signposting resource and engage with external agencies to form partnerships for sign posting opportunities

Work with our Financial Inclusion Support Worker regarding client income maximisation

Work with our social medica content lead to support promotional activity

Assist in the organisation of annual events such as open days, AGM, cultural celebrations such as Harvest Festival and Christmas and supermarket collection days and volunteer thank you events
General Duties:

To organise and oversee volunteer rotas; deliver new agency induction training; organise food collections at Harvest, Christmas and adhoc at supermarkets; deliver talks about the foodbank to churches and other community groups and businesses

To work as part of a team to support the overall delivery of Hope4’s activities:

Build positive relationships with Hope4’s stakeholders including staff, trustees and volunteers

SALARY: £38,379 FTE pro rata for part time £23,028 (from 1st April 2024.)

We are a small but mighty nonprofit organisation which delivers impactful change and support to migrant women’s lives in Thanet.
This role will be focused on finance, governance and operations and will be a job share with the CEO for practice, development, and partnerships, who is already in post and has been overseeing this function. You will also be responsible for the line management of the Operations Manager and volunteers.
It is a crucial time for Beyond the Page and we have big ambitions for this year, including charity registration, maximising our income generation, developing, and implementing our strategy and continuing to provide high quality and impactful ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages), wellbeing and creative activities in the community to women born outside of the UK.
We are looking for a leader to help us take our next steps.
You will need to have an excellent attention to detail, previous management experience and budget oversight, knowledge of current legislation and be able to share a leadership role effectively. You will also be responsible for taking us through the charity registration process and all associated duties thereafter. We identify as an organisation that champions women’s and migrants’ rights and it’s important that you share these values.
The role is 22.5 hour a week which can be offered flexibly. Please note that there is a mandatory Monday afternoon meeting which finishes at 3pm. We deliver within term time, and it is therefore required that annual leave is taken outside of this time.
