Head of Corporate Business Development
£54,000 to £60,000 per annum
Dual location: London & Home based

This role is ‘dual location’, split between home and our headquarters in Vauxhall, London, with flexible start and finish times. As an externally facing role with critical external stakeholder relationships, we would expect some flexibility in terms of travelling to see partners and prospects. 

About the role
Macmillan’s fundraising income has been impacted heavily by the pandemic. Now is a critical time for us to revolutionise our income methods and goals, so that we can continue to provide support to the millions of people who need us now, and in the future.

In this role, you will be responsible for shaping our Corporate Business Development strategy to increase our income over the next 3-5 years. You will be responsible for leading a team to attract new partnerships to join our award-winning portfolio including Boots, M&S, Virgin Money, Cazoo and many more. You will encourage innovation and embrace thought leadership, for Macmillan to continue growing a sector leading portfolio of partnerships. As the technical expert, you will support and inspire your team to secure commercial and strategic partnerships to deliver income and impact for people living with cancer.

About you
You have a track record in winning partnerships and leading your team to do the same. You have a proven ability to build excellent relationships and networks to deliver your team’s ambition. You are a strategic and critical thinker with experience in identifying areas of opportunity to increase income and creating the winning strategy to realise it.

You have experience in leading a team and securing £1m+ multi-year relationships with companies. You are an experienced leader who can motivate and manage a team and create a high-performing culture. You have proven commercial acumen in a public or private context, and have been responsible for delivering a minimum of £1m pa of income.
