Commercial Management Accountant Jobs in Bristol, South Gloucestershire
My client is a Not-for-Profit organisation that supports grassroots bodies working towards more inclusive sexual and reproductive health and rights in South Asia and Africa.
At an exciting time of growth, they are looking to appoint an interim Head of Finance, reporting directly to the Chief Executive.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead on all aspects of the organisation’s finances, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Work as part of the SLT to ensure the resources and financial processes align with and support the organisation’s mission and ambitions
- Management of primary accounting functions and processes where required
- Lead and work closely with the SLT on commercial tenders including budgeting, written justifications and financial management arrangements
- Embed a true team culture within the finance unit, ensuring balanced workloads, personal development and colleague engagement are at the highest levels
The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant with a track record of working at a similar level within the Charity space. You will be as comfortable leading strategic discussions as you are handling numbers and explaining financial information to a non-finance audience.
My client works on a flexible hybrid model, with 1 day a week in their central Bath office. This role has been assessed as inside of IR35.
Wild in the City was established in 2013 and was incorporated as an asset locked non- profit Community Interest Company in April 2016 to address the growing problem of disconnection from nature and generational loss of knowledge and skills, and to help make nature a meaningful part of everyday life.
We are a national organisation supporting well-being through relationship with nature. We offer programmes in hiking, woodland living skills, natural history and ecotherapy, using the skills of our ancestors to develop a deeper relationship with the natural world and nurture a sense of belonging to communities past and present.
We are a black led organisation with a focus on health and supporting Black and minority ethnic communities in accessing nature and the countryside, addressing the widely acknowledged lack of representation and lower levels of involvement of people of colour in nature-based activity. We are a leading organisation in research and the facilitation of forums about race and nature.
We have an exciting vision for increasing the participation of people of colour in nature- based activity and highlighting black perspectives about the natural world through our core programmes.
