We are seeking a creative high value fundraiser who will lead the strategic growth and innovation of the Friends and Patrons programmes. Established 6 years ago, the schemes have seen impressive growth and now bring in almost £1million per year. There is still huge potential for development, expansion and innovation.

You will be an ambitious individual with a background in managing mid- and high-value membership schemes. With a focus on stewardship, cultivation events, and collaboration with the rest of the Philanthropy team, you’ll drive engagement and uplift donors.

As Friends and Patrons Manager, you will:

• Lead the strategic development of the Friends and Patrons programme, with a focus on innovation and driving growth
• Oversee the stewardship journeys of Friends and Patrons (£55 to £20,000), with a portfolio of your own donors giving at the higher level
• Responsible for day to day management of the Royal Albert Hall America Patron Scheme
• Work with the Executive Events Manager to deliver an engaging programme of cultivation and recruitment events
• Work closely with the rest of the Philanthropy team to identify opportunities to uplift donors and secure major gifts
• Provide leadership and support to the Friends and Patrons Officer and the Friends and Patrons Coordinator

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Demonstrable experience of managing and developing mid and high value patron schemes, donor giving circles or equivalent
• Experience testing and implementing creative fundraising strategies to engage donors with and grow income from membership schemes
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders of all levels

Hybrid working, 3-4dpw in Royal Albert Hall, Kensington office. This role will require occasional evening and weekend work in line with the Hall’s events programme, in particular those attended by your donors and prospects.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION

The Individual Giving Manager (Retention) will work within the Public Fundraising Team and play a key part in growing and sustaining income from our individual giving audiences of cash donors and regular giving supporters. You will work closely with the Deputy Director of Fundraising, Individual Giving Manager (Acquisition), Supporter Care Officer and Database Manager and will be responsible for the development, project management and delivery of the supporter retention, renewal and stewardship program. This is a great role for someone with existing individual giving fundraising experience, who would like the opportunity to use analysis and insights to develop and shape retention and stewardship activity, with the drive to deliver a program which aspires be best in class.

Role Responsibilities:

This role plays a key part in driving income growth and sustainability in our Individual Giving programme.

Your priorities will include:

· Driving the strategic and operational planning of Individual Giving to deliver strong income growth and return of investment (ROI), ensuring agreed targets and KPIs are achieved in relation to retention and conversion of existing donors.

· Devising and delivering the overall Individual Giving retention and stewardship budget to maximise opportunities for growth, preparing robust annual income and expenditure budgets and operational plans.

Strategy, planning and delivery:

· Develop and manage donor retention and upgrade for cash donors and regular givers across all channels to increase our supporter base, maximising ROI.

· Devise and deliver the overall Individual Giving retention and stewardship budget to maximise opportunities for growth, preparing robust annual income and expenditure budgets and ops plans, reforecasting these on a quarterly basis and engaging with month end processes.

· Lead the delivery of an impactful stewardship programme, which includes managing the supporter newsletter to optimise donor retention and development across all supporters, delivering exceptional donor experience; oversee timely responses to donors.

· Optimise data and data capture opportunities to help us better understand our supporters, inform strategy and ultimately deliver insight to help drive retention and lifetime value.

· Provide timely high-quality reporting with robust analysis and recommendations to improve performance – utilising your Individual Giving expertise and sector benchmarks.

· Adopt a test and learn mentality to strategic planning, developing new activities to provide the charity with a balanced portfolio of offers for new/existing donors.

· Direct and manage external suppliers to execute the Individual Giving retention programme to meet agreed budgets, timelines and KPIs.

· Support with the selection and appointment process for new external suppliers, effectively managing relationships to ensure the highest quality service.

· Ensure tools and processes are in place to effectively deliver objectives in collaboration with teams across the organisation.

Collaboration

· Identify opportunities to maximise value from our supporter base and seek opportunities to work with colleagues to facilitate cross-selling of relevant initiatives to engage donors, including mid-value, major gifts and legacies for example.

· Work collaboratively across the charity to develop exciting and relevant content across all Individual Giving activity, including the supporter newsletter, working with colleagues to identify where content could be applied to other communications and marketing channels.

· Keep abreast of new trends, tactics and competitor activity within the sector, disseminating new learnings and information throughout the team.

· Ensure that communications are compliant with all relevant bodies including HMRC, Gambling Commission, Fundraising Regulator, ICO, Charity Commission and ASA.

· Support other areas of fundraising by attending events, exhibitions etc. as required by a small team with varied engagements.

Management

· Carry out effective management of the Supporter Care Officer, ensuring the effective deployment of all their responsibilities.

· Be accountable for the management and development of the CRM database to maximise efficiency, working with the Database Manager to resolve any irregularities.

· Work closely with the Database Manager to establish criteria for data selection and extraction as necessary.

· Work with the Database Manager and Supporter Care Officer to ensure all donations are processed swiftly and accurately, Gift Aid income is maximised, and all declarations are collected and accurately recorded for submission to the Finance team.

Other

· Become fully conversant with the aims and objectives of the organisation.

· Keep up to date with developments in the sector and key new initiatives in our field. 

· To always work in compliance with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice and data protection legislation.

· Successful track record of developing and managing a successful, cause-led Individual Giving retention and stewardship programme, with proven technical ability across channels including print, telemarketing and digital.

· Strong experience of analysing and interpreting data, reporting and using data driven insights to inform decision making.

· Strong experience of developing and implementing successful supporter journeys with thorough understanding of donor motivation.

The B&IE team engages major food businesses on actions they can take to shift the UK towards more healthy and sustainable diets in order to tackle food system issues such as climate change, nature loss, diet related disease and dietary inequalities. We provide insight and analysis underpinned by our Plating Up Progress benchmark to support and hold businesses to account in increasing sales of healthier and more sustainable foods and in shifting towards more responsible business practices.

The business engagement lead will work closely with the Senior Business and Investor engagement manager to build and develop relationships with the Out of Home and manufacturing sectors, oversee the Food Foundation’s role in an exciting new partnership with a major broadcaster in support of more plant rich diets, oversee the delivery of our flagship report – The State of the Nation’s Food Industry (SOFI) - and collaborate with civil society partners also working in this space. St Paul’s Cathedral School are pleased to be exclusively partnering with Robertson Bell in search of a new Financial Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. St Paul’s Cathedral School is an independent, co-educational boarding and day school for boys and girls aged 5 to 13 (Reception to Year 8). 

The Financial Controller will report into the Bursar and be responsible for for the whole of the School’s day-to-day accounting function to ensure effective procedures and robust controls are in place for all aspects of the function.

The organisation:

Situated in the heart of the City of London, at the East side of the Cathdral, the School enjoys state-of-the-art facilities for academic work, music, performing arts and sport in a single-site campus. With around 275 pupils (with up to 36 Cathedral Choristers who are boarding pupils), the School is small enough to ensure that each pupil receives individual attention, yet large enough to offer an array of academic and extra-curricular opportunities that a Prep school could deliver. There are 84 members of staff, comprising teachers, teaching assistants, music instructors and a support team. 

The role:

• Assist the Bursar to seek commercial income opportunities and monitor and advise on school investments through liaison with external investment managers.
• Deputise for the Bursar in all finance matters and at governor committees, or at SLT meetings when requested by the Head. 
• Support the Bursar’s financial and audit responsibility.
• Check Income & Expenditure (I&E) variances and explain and compare findings to previous year, to budgets and to forecasts.
• Prepare weekly cashflow forecast and monthly management accounts.
• Compile and analyse the annual school budget, setting and monitoring. 
• Prepare initial input data for new arrivals, departing staff, music teachers and additional overtime payments. 
• Modernise the finance IT package and update the finance manual.

• A fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or at Finalist level.

The Role: 

The Senior Partnerships Executive will be responsible for leading on and significantly growing our corporate partnerships across our diverse portfolio, exploring and maximising opportunities to raise funds for, and awareness, of our vital work supporting and championing hospice care across the UK.

As an experienced Account Manager, you will be able to spot opportunities across all of Hospice UK’s work to maximise these partnerships, whether that’s adding strategic value to our fundraising with Aspire Pharma, diversifying our work with Co-op Bank, supporting our longest partnership with the National Garden Scheme, helping Dignity Funerals to grow our Dying Matters Community Grants programme, or helping to launch our new partnership with People’s Postcode Lottery. You will be responsible for a portfolio of corporate partnerships to the value of £1.2m.

We are looking for someone who is an expert in relationship management, has experience of managing high-value partnerships, can evidence partnership and client growth, understands how to engage employees, can write propositions and is experienced in project management. Our corporate partnerships are diverse, requiring bespoke management across the portfolio. 

We are a growing team in Corporate Development, with ambitious plans to grow quickly, diversify our corporate income and develop new revenue streams and programmes. Having recently remodelled our New Business function, this is your chance to lead and go on to grow our Partnership Management team. We’d like you to be an ambitious and strategic-thinking individual with strong partnership management experience, and the ideas and appetite to diversify and grow our existing high profile relationships.

The Team: 

There are currently eight members of the Corporate Development team, and 20 in total across our Income Generation and Grants Directorate. Our knowledge is rich and our experience is diverse; from third sector to private sector, from sales to events and from wellbeing to sustainability. The team are based all over the UK, including London, Bristol and Peterborough.

The Senior Accountant (Financial Control) post can be based in either the London or Manchester office. This role is in the central Financial Accounting and Control Team (FACT). In addition to being DCMS’ financial accounting Centre of Excellence, the team leads in the production of the consolidated accounts of the DCMS Group (with 34 of its 42 Arms Length Bodies directly consolidated) and manages the National Lottery Distribution Fund. The team is the hub for all financial operational and control functions including treasury management, VAT, purchase to pay support and manages the relationship with DCMS’ shared services provider. The DCMS Finance team is relatively small and this provides opportunities for development not always found in a bigger department.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Accountant (Financial Control) will include:

• Management and delivery of robust financial policies, controls, processes and systems.
• Management of the core department’s key finance system (Integra) and the relationship with the department’s shared service provider.
• Overseeing the payment process for suppliers via Purchase to Pay (P2P), including prompt payment monitoring and reporting.
• Lead on the preparation of the DCMS core accounts.
• Leading the audit of the Core Department and ensuring all necessary documentation is available to the National Audit Office.
• Provision of sound technical advice on complex accounting, taxation and budgeting issues to a wide range of stakeholders.
• Ensuring that the Department’s financial systems, cash management and cash forecasting regimes run securely, smoothly and efficiently.
• Key influencer in the Matrix cross-departmental cluster to drive decision making for the new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system which DCMS will be an early adopter of.
• Leadership and line management (including recruitment, development and training) of 3 direct staff and task management/close collaboration with 2 other staff members within the wider team.

The successful Senior Accountant (Financial Control) will have:

• Qualified financial accountant (CCAB, CIMA or equivalent) with demonstrable post qualifying experience in a large finance team
• Experience of preparing (or auditing) accounts in conformity with relevant accounting standards
• Experience of managing or using financial systems and advanced knowledge of Excel
• Be an excellent communicator, able to explain complex ideas both verbally and written
• Proven ability to work as part of a team delivering at pace in a fast-moving environment
• External audit background (desirable)
• Knowledge and experience of the FReM, Consolidated Budgeting Guidance (CBG), Managing Public Money and HM Treasury’s supply estimates manual  (desirable)
