Job description

Passionate about pets welfare, Wood Green, The Animals Charity, is a leading organisation that is dedicated to improving the lives of pets and their owners.

We are looking for an experienced Communications Officer on a permanent contract to join our friendly and busy Marketing and Digital Engagement team.

Working with and supported by the Head of Communications, you will have the chance to make a real difference with your career and change the lives of pets and their owners.

This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week and there is opportunity to work from home.

As a Communications Officer, you will be responsible for producing and managing our Internal Communications in order to raise internal engagement - whether writing compelling copy or organising the annual staff and volunteers conference - and to increase awareness of Wood Green products and services whilst collaborating with the team on external Brand Communications at a regional level.

You will be working with the Head of Communications to develop and implement Internal Communications strategies and to contribute to the Brand marketing plans for Wood Green. You will also liaise with our Directors, Heads of Department and Managers across the organisation to deliver strategic internal projects and brand support, managing and overseeing their development from brief through to evaluation of final output.

To be considered for this position, you will need:

- Demonstrable experience of producing and managing regular internal communications along with delivering against internal communications strategies.

- Significant experience of working in a communications environment as a Communications Officer.

The starting salary for this role is c £27,317 depending on experience.
