We are searching for someone with a demonstrable track record in fundraising, with the drive and passion to lead a values-driven team with a commitment to building a supportive culture. The candidate will be proactive, and results oriented with experience of developing purposeful and effective relationships with prospective benefactors and connectors. Reporting to the Vice Chancellor & President, and as a senior leader in the University, you will be expected to build relationships with academics across our nine academic faculties to support colleagues in identifying and developing projects for philanthropic support. Maximising the value and contribution of supporters is fundamental to Parkinson’s UK; building networks, understanding what motivates their supporters, and aligning programmes to their charitable interests is key to the charity’s growth plans for Major Gifts. This role will be critical to leading the philanthropy, trust and statutory, special events and prospect research and insights teams (approximately 18 people) and working with colleagues and leaders across the charity to identify prospects and opportunities to give at a transformational level. The post will also be an active member of the Fundraising Leadership Team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in major gifts fundraising and a proven track record of securing large gifts. They will also have experience of managing a large annual income target and driving continued growth and ensuring targets are met. They will have the ability to lead, motivate and inspire multiple teams to coordinate projects and exceed fundraising targets. Strong presentation skills and budgetary skills will be combined with the ability to build positive and high-value relationships across a range of sectors, individuals, organisations and committees. Arts Emergency, a mentoring charity and support network aiming to address the inequalities in the creative and cultural sectors, is looking for an experienced and motivated fundraiser to provide leadership and management for fundraising activities.
Since 2013, Arts Emergency has been providing 16-25 year olds in London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and beyond with a trained mentor working in their field of interest. Mentors help Young Talent set goals, explore their passions and make decisions about higher education, training and careers. After they complete a year of mentoring, Young Talent can continue to access opportunities, advice, resources and paid work from the Arts Emergency Network until they turn 26. Support the Fundraising team with correspondence to donors and mail campaigns

Provide basic IT support to the team by monitoring the IT Support Slack channel, ordering equipment, providing instructions for how to use Google Workspace, Trello and Slack, and equipment such as laptops and cameras used in hybrid meetings

Support the Senior Operations Manager with bookkeeping to enable the SOM / accountants to produce timely and accurate management accounts

Support the People Operations Manager with recruitment by posting job adverts on our website and third party channels, managing communication with candidates and setting up new team members with everything they need to get started at Full Fact

Manage the tasks involved with people leaving the organisation.

Support the Senior Operations Manager with coordination and minute taking of Board, Committee and Management Team meetings

Ensure a well run office by managing supplies and liaising with the facilities team (e.g. delivery of water bottles, ensuring facilities are working, setting up the office for team events)

Keep registers up to date (e.g. fixed assets, abuse register, software register)

Support the team with travel arrangements

Support the People Operations Manager with coordinating training and development initiatives

Job skills/competencies

How the application process will work

The interview panel will be Charlotte Ross (Senior Operations Manager), Laura Dewis (COO) and Sophie Hale (People Operations Manager).
The process starts off with an anonymised covering letter and CV. This will be read by at least two people to produce a shortlist for interview.
The first round interviews will be a phone (not video) interview, lasting no more than half an hour, at a time that’s convenient for you. We will record it so at least two people can review each interview to decide who we invite back for the second round. The recordings will be deleted at the end of the process.
The second round will include a structured interview and a timed task which assumes no prior knowledge. The task can be completed prior to the interview, at a time that most suits you.
The interview will be with the full panel by video and last no more than an hour. We’ll tell you everything you need to know to prepare, including anything we’d recommend reading in advance

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our team on a 14 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. You will be a highly organised, practical and friendly person to manage our office operations, the role is diverse and will suite an all-rounder who is proficient in multi-tasking and problem solving.
You will run a welcoming office for staff and guests and be encouraged to identify and work on new operational projects that will enhance the organisation. You will be central point of contact for H&S and Facilities management, proactively overseeing all aspects of facilities maintenance and managing contractor relationships.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of and help shape a new DHSC funded project - Early Support Hubs - providing innovative ways to support Young People’s (11 – 25 years) Mental Health and Wellbeing across the borough of Hackney.
This Early Intervention approach will enable young people to access support in a timely way within their own community and we will work collaboratively with the Hackney Super Youth Hub enabling a one stop shop experience for local young people.
We are looking for passionate and motivated Therapeutic Youth Workers who are committed to supporting positive change for local young people to join our team.
Main Responsibilities:
· Undertake 1:1, group, detached and outreach work with young people
· Provide one-to-one key-working up to 12 sessions, combining youth work values and principles with a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach to help address a wide range of issues that may impact on young people’s mental health and wellbeing e.g. housing, employment, physical health, education, finances and relationships.
· Use a supportive, young person-centred approach. e.g. explaining what services are and what they do, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date, filling out forms together, making personal introductions, accompanying young people to initial meetings/sessions, being with them during phone calls etc.
· To work with the Hackney Super Youth Hub, to support young people and liaise with appropriate professionals in the network.
· To maintain confidential, up to date and accurate records of all sessions and plans.
· Be an advocate for young people, supporting colleagues to understand adolescence, and how to engage with young people, particularly with concerns around:
o mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.
o Supporting vulnerable groups who would not otherwise receive support (levelling-up).
o Improving children and young people’s engagement with EET.
Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):
· QCF Level 3 Diploma in Youth work or equivalent and have experience of youth work in a youth work setting
· Experience of working with young people, delivering therapeutic groups and/or 1 to 1 interventions in a youth work or similar setting.
· To have an active interest in working with those affected by mental health issues and recognise the impact this has on their life.
· Experience of building positive, impactful relationships with young people responding to their needs
· Excellent, up to date knowledge and understanding of safeguarding needs and risks young people may face.
· Experienced in working as part of a safeguarding team around a child, i.e. Childrens services, education, CAMHS, etc
· Experience of working in with an outreach role, in the community and school settings.
· Confident working well independently as well as in a team setting.
· Ability to use own initiative and be able to respond to change as part of a pilot initiative.
· Computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite (incl. Outlook and Word), with ability to accurately input sensitive data electronically
