The role

Purpose of the Senior Communications Officer role:
As Senior Communications Officer, the successful candidate will be a creative, agile and impactful professional, who will play a pivotal role in shaping Women’s Aid’s communications campaigns, working closely with the Communications Manager and the Head of Media, Brand and Relationships. Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Communications Officer:

To be the key communications officer representing the communications team, developing the key messaging of external campaigns, brand-building and communications for the organisation and developing public awareness of these.

To lead on planning, drafting and implementing a communications plan for Women’s Aid key communications campaigns such as International Women’s Day, 16 Days, as well as wider organisational projects, incorporating press and social media and providing media support as required.

What will I be doing?

Stakeholder communications

NOAH Enterprise is a charity which seeks to help the most disadvantaged in the local community, providing a practical, empowering and caring service to people who are struggling against homelessness and exclusion and have nowhere else to turn.

About the role
As the first Marketing and Communications Manager to join the organisation, you'll be part of the organisation's focus on investment in key roles to help create a sustainable future for the organisation as they diversify their audiences and scale up their services. Working with a fantastic and hugely experienced Head of Fundraising and Community Engagement, you'll be joining the organisation alongside a new Community and Events Fundraiser and will work to raise the profile of the charity through a mix of traditional and digital marketing.
Core responsibilities within the role will include:
* Implementing and managing the construction, content, and regular updates of NOAH's online platforms, including website, social media, and email marketing campaigns.
* Copywriting to create documents, literature, case studies and press releases
* Design skills utilised for the creation of marketing materials
* Developing the website, and maximising its potential
* Lead the delivery of the Marketing and Communications Strategy to raise NOAH's profile and reach across Beds, Bucks, & Herts.
* Safeguard the reputation and brand of the charity.
* Leads the development of digital and print materials to support all areas of the charity such as annual report, quarterly newsletter, general advertising
* Responsible for development of social media strategy in line with charity goals, including managing content planner and managing social media channels on a day-to-day basis, using social media tools such as Hootsuite
* Liaises with local and national press including creating press releases and arranging radio interviews
* Manages the relationship and co-production with 3rd party marketing agencies

* Previous demonstrable experience gained within a marketing and communications role

* Experience in responding to enquiries, comments, and feedback on social media

The Role
The WorldGBC is seeking a dedicated Advocacy and Engagement Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in shaping and advancing our global advocacy efforts, influencing policy, and supporting our network of national Green Building Councils (GBCs) in their advocacy work. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing policy positions, conducting research, and engaging with key stakeholders to promote sustainable building practices and policies worldwide. The Advocacy and Engagement Manger will report to and work closely with the Global Advocacy Director.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Support for the Global Advocacy Director: Work closely with the Global Advocacy Director to develop and implement WorldGBC's global advocacy strategy. Assist in coordinating the organization’s advocacy efforts across different regions, ensuring alignment with overall objectives. Provide analytical support, prepare briefing materials, and manage specific projects as directed by the Global Advocacy Director. Act as a liaison between the Global Advocacy Director and other team members, stakeholders, and national GBCs to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
