We are recruiting a Project Coordinator to oversee the delivery and development of a flagship Community Wellbeing Project, which operates in partnership with Brent Council. The project is a Community Hub hosted in a community space in Stonebridge (not in Sufra’s existing premises). Members of the project can access a Community Shop, a Community Café and Kitchen, and holistic support in the form of Advice casework and workshops. The objective of the project is to deliver food aid alongside wraparound holistic support in way that improves the financial, physical and mental wellbeing of its members, who are struggling with the cost of living.
This collaborative project has been made possible due to the support of multiple partners and has already proven highly successful. It is likely to form the basis of a new model of support for people experiencing vulnerabilities that will be replicated across Brent and possibly elsewhere in London.
The Project Coordinator will oversee the delivery of the project, ensuring both the shop and the café operate effectively and in accordance with agreed standards and procedures. The successful candidate will help shape the project in the months ahead, whilst supporting guests, collecting data, and monitoring and evaluating the project. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy and varied environment, managing multiple priorities at the same time. They will have experience in a customer-facing role, dealing with the general public and managing volunteers. It would be beneficial for the post holder to have experience supporting vulnerable people with complex needs from a wide variety of backgrounds. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for members that sign onto the pilot project, and will be representing the organisation to external partners. This is an exciting new role to develop a peer support group for people recently diagnosed with dementia and their family carers and to co produce a programme of activities so that they can continue to engage in stimulating activities in the community.

The role:
The postholder will be responsible for the design, implementation and delivery of safe, creative and stimulating community play sessions and support groups at venues across Greater Manchester. You will ensure that a range of creative and enjoyable activities are offered to babies and children aged 0-5. You will also seek to continuously improve sessions by obtaining feedback, seeking alternative venues and work within budget. Maintaining records and promoting inclusion is also vital in the role.
About you:
You will hold a Level 3 in Childcare Learning and Development and have experience of working with babies/children with a range of needs and abilities. You will be able to build relationships with children and their parents or carers. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, team building skills and organisational skills. A good understanding of Child Protection procedures is needed and the confidence to communicate any concerns to the Safeguarding Lead.
What we offer:
This is a part time (15 hours per week), fixed term position until 1st June 2025 initially. The role is home based but significant amounts of time are spent working in the community and some weekend working is required, this is likely to be at least one Saturday per month.
You will receive a salary of £28,000 (pro rata to £11,200 for 15 hours per week) dependent on experience and benefits include 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata to working hours) and a Christmas closure.

Burnhope Community Centre is a brand-new, purpose-built facility that opened in 2017. Following Covid we have seen substantial growth of our activities and projects that serve our community. We currently run two toddler groups per week, an after-school Kids Club, carpet bowls, a walking group, Pilates, Zumba, Keep moving and other fitness classes. Role purpose
The MEAL Coordinator will travel with the emergency response team to deliver emergency shelter responses, to enhance programme quality and embed a culture of organisational learning and accountability. Sitting within the Programme Quality team, the MEAL Coordinator will play a significant role to strengthen participant voice and accountability, enable data driven decision making and help to identify best practice and innovative shelter solutions allowing people to recover and rebuild their lives.
The MEAL Coordinator will lead/support key processes that enhance programme/project delivery. They liaise with programme managers/emergency coordinators and partner organisations to provide technical support and ensure programmes/projects adhere to agreed processes, namely needs assessments, log frame development, robust and transparent community feedback mechanisms and the development of the MEAL plan. They will also provide technical input on data collection exercises, data analysis for routine monitoring exercises as well as designing/coordinating review /evaluation processes.
The MEAL Coordinator will play an important role in promoting organisational learning and embedding a culture of reflection, analysis, and learning. Working together with Programme Managers & Emergency field coordinators, they will ensure learning frameworks are in place so that lessons are learned (both positive and negative) are captured, responded to, and shared with peers. They will work closely with the Programme Delivery Team and Technical Specialists to identify and/or support the establishment of Action Research projects that will contribute to improvements and innovations within the shelter sector.
There is significant travel with this role (up to 50% FTE), and the post holder must be prepared to travel at short notice for up to two months at a time. The MEAL Coordinators may also be asked to contribute to the development of organisational policy papers on mainstreaming or technical areas such as cash programming.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
Project Support (70% FTE):
The MEAL coordinator is a core member of the project team and will work closely with the project lead to ensure project quality and accountability. They will lead processes or liaise with partners (depending on implementation model) to ensure ShelterBox standards are adhered to. Specifically, they will:
- Advise/Carry out needs assessments to inform project design
- Facilitate technical MEAL component of Organizational Capacity Assessments and support with the development of capacity strengthening plans for potential partners
- As relevant, support the delivery of Capacity Building Action Plans, through the development of appropriate resources/ providing in-person and remote training /mentoring on MEAL concepts and practice. This will also involve reviewing training courses/modules, developing resources, and providing training.
- Collaborate with partners and implementing teams to, support project/log frame development with clear outcomes/outputs and SMART indicators, in line with organizational reporting requirements
- Ensure robust MEAL plans are in place, and that SADD distribution data is robust
- Ensure robust and transparent community feedback mechanisms are functioning and support safeguarding processes
- Provide technical input/Lead data collection exercises (both quantitative and qualitative)
- Liaise with partners and implementing teams to ensure the MEAL Plans are operationalized and that the data/reports provided by partners are robust, verifiable and with the appropriate degree of objectivity.
- Ensure project documentation is up to date
- Support data analysis and the facilitation of learning and reflection based on findings that result in data-led decision making
- Coordinate/Facilitate/carry out end of project evaluation processes in line with DAC criteria.
- Ensure all projects/programmes are contributing to organisational KPI reporting. Develop and populate Information Management systems as appropriate.
- Liaise with the Grant Management team to ensure that all projects MEAL systems and processes are in line with donor requirements, and support programme managers to submit quality narrative reports in a timely fashion.
Knowledge creation and sharing (20% FTE):
- Ensure that each Project logframe, MEAL plan and Learning and Accountability Framework are up-to-date and facilitate continuous and conscious reflection and learning.
- Utilising M&E data, evaluation findings and wider sector understanding, develop thematic discussions to strengthen understanding within ShelterBox and in relevant Communities of Practice.
Infrastructure development (10% FTE):
- Contribute to the development of policies, SOPs and processes that strengthen project delivery and accountability.
- Ensure ShelterBox is abreast of new technological developments supporting information gathering and analysis, particularly methodologies that empower affected populations to communicate with ShelterBox and to share their insights enhancing participation.
Working Requirements: This role will support the design and implementation of rapid response emergency project that will demand prolonged travel (up to two months) at very short notice. For remote workers: travel to Truro HQ for collaboration weeks approx. 3 times a year, and additional meetings as requested.

You will need demonstrable experience in planning and delivering a range of successful events, including both digital and in-person events, as well as experience of managing project budgets and strong project management skills. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, organisation and delivery of Picker's programme of events. This will include two in-person conferences with attendees from across the United Kingdom as well as regular online events during the year. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective planning and delivery. You will also be responsible for the planning of Picker's presence at sponsored events and exhibitions, working with colleagues from across the organisation to ensure that the Group are appropriately represented and present a credible and compelling offer.
This is a new role in the organisation, intended to support colleagues and to take a lead in our growing programme of events. There is established practice to build on from existing national conferences as well as opportunities to develop new types of engagements.
In this role
In this role you will:
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager to plan a programme of events for the year, ensuring that these align to the Group’s charitable and commercial objectives.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop detailed plans for each event, including working with subject matter experts to design appropriate agendas.
- Lead for Picker on the administration of events
- Attend events, providing first line support to colleagues, partners, and attendees on the day. This will include occasional travel, usually within the United Kingdom.
- Lead on the evaluation of events to ensure that they are effective in addressing Picker’s strategic goals and to enable continuous learning and improvement in our future planning.
- Maintain a working knowledge of relevant regulations to ensure that all events are compliant: this will include legislation on Data Protection (eg UKGDPR); Health and Safety; and Equalities

About You:
To be considered as our Communications Coordinator, you’ll need:
• Experience of managing or co-ordinating comms for a variety of projects and / or events
• Excellent communication skills, both presentation and written, with an ability to work constructively with a range of partners
• Real attention to detail and ability to establish and follow clear processes
• Experience of creating content for a wide range of digital and offline platforms
• Good proactive networker outside and inside the organisation
• Good team player

Experience of working with social media to engage with identified target audiences; Experience of organising events for specific groups of people, with a particular emphasis on engaging under-represented groups; Experience working with qualitative and quantitative data for research purposes; Knowledge of Gaelic; Degree or equivalent qualification in marketing, public engagement or related field; Understanding of issues relating to the Cairngorms National Park; and, Full UK driving licence or access to a driver if disability prevents driving would be beneficial to your application.

About The Role(s)
We currenlty have two venue coordinator roles on offer - Working with the Estates team, the Venue Coordinator (The Station lead) will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Bridewell site with lead responsibility for The Station and the Venue Coordinator (The Courts lead) will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Bridewell site with lead responsibility for The Courts.
They will ensure that Creative Youth Network’s venues run efficiently, are accessible and welcoming and remain a destination of choice for young people. These roles will work alongside each other, and work in a way as to provide cover for each other.
The Courts - An enterprise centre to help young people set up their own creative businesses and develop their opportunities. A place where there are no barriers to their future, where the only things that count are their abilities and talents.
Thanks to the The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Bristol City Council we are developing detailed business and architectural plans to reimagine and redevelop this historic city landmark as a place that will complement Bristol’s renowned and growing creative industries sector.

About the Foundation:
The Avicenna Foundation was set up in 2023 to to support outstanding young British Muslims by providing them with scholarships for their undergraduate degree. The scholarships are mainly focused on awarding scholarships in the Social Sciences and Humanities for those interested in politics, policy-making and becoming agents of positive change.
Alongside the scholarship, the Avicenna Foundation runs a development programme for the scholars to expand their skills and abilities in various areas like leadership, communication and collaboration.
The Foundation has developed immensely in the first year with the launch of the charity; onboarding of it’s first cohort of 30 scholars and the development of a leadership programme. It now needs propelling into the next stage as the charity develops to ensure a robust charity structure and programme in place.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the charity, and manage changes required within programmes and activities as a result of changing external landscapes or contexts.
- Implement strategies for advertising the scholarships, receiving and reviewing applications, shortlisting candidates, conducting interviews, and making final selection decisions. Some of these things are already in place and may need reviewing and enhancing.
- Work with the Scholar Development Coordinator to oversee the leadership development programme, provide guidance and help the programme to grow.
- Maintain regular communication with the scholars, their progress, and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Ensure programme objectives and outcomes align with the overall strategy and aims of the Foundation, and are realistic and achievable within timeframes and budgets.
- Organise any events, programmes necessary to the scholars.
- Use data to track progress and drive improvement; proactively manage risks; and ensure effective use of the Foundation’s resources and budgets allocated to you.
Governance:
- Provide leadership and guidance to achieve consistency of governance across all of the Foundation’s activities, from development, delivery, measurement and evaluation and reporting perspectives.
- Regular communication and updates to the board, prepare board papers and contribute to Trustee meetings as required.
- Create, maintain and ensure continued adoption of governance frameworks, policies and templates.
- Ensure implementation and maintenance of risk registers for the charity and across all programmes.
- Manage finances, budgeting, reporting, and record-keeping
- Prepare the Foundation’s annual report.
External Engagement
- Lead on strategic communications by developing and implementing an integrated public affairs and communication plan that are consistent with the goals and values of the Foundation.
- Building and cultivating exceptional diverse reciprocal partnerships across a wide range of stakeholder groups, grounded in delivering impact through collaboration.
- Work with educational partners to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the scholarship programme
- Leverage messaging and networks to positively impact the growth and reputation of the Foundation.
- Strengthen our brand reputation to maximise our impact and reach.
- Help identify, create and develop meaningful opportunities for the young people the Foundation works with.
- Establish an alumni network and support continuous professional development for alumni.
- Produce briefings and critical information for internal and external stakeholders, and review reports, submissions, and letters where appropriate.
