Complex Needs Worker

Morgan Hunt are working in collaboration with a leading homelessness charity based in east London who are in search of a Complex Needs Worker to work with in their 35 bed service for clients who have been found recently rough sleeping in the borough and referred by street outreach teams and StreetLink.

Candidate requirements:

• Pro-actively work with a caseload of clients to assess their support needs and put in place well-being plans
• Ensure clients engaged at the service adequately safeguarded whilst at the service against any internal or external risk
• Referring clients to specialist external agencies including drug treatment services, community mental health teams, probation, immigration issues etc to ensure needs of the clients are met
• Partnership working with all clients to best ensure positive outcomes and providing advice and guidance around longer-term housing options for successful resettlement and ongoing support where necessary

Candidate Needs:

• Experience of casework delivery to a caseload of clients with complex support needs
• Experience of conducting needs and risk assessments and putting in place well-being plans
• Ability to present clients with re-housing options based on their support needs
• Assisting clients to obtain their welfare, housing and related rights
• Experience of referring and Liaising with external agencies on behalf of clients
• Ability to work a shift rota including weekends (no night work required)
• A DBS certificate issued within the last 12 months or registered to the online update service
