About the Role
An experienced Relationship Builder, you’ll represent the Charity with our national partners and licensees, ensuring we build strong and lasting relationships. SUDEP Action is the only UK charity focused on preventing epilepsy-related deaths. We have the only epilepsy bereavement service freely available to anyone suddenly bereaved by epilepsy (including SUDEP). By representing the voices of those who have died and who are bereaved, we aim to learn from deaths, and use research, policy and campaigns to raise awareness and take action that helps save lives.
Working both independently and with the wider team you will deliver a high-quality community fundraising service. We’re looking for someone who has worked in a fundraising department and/or similar role before, preferably in the charity sector. Engaging confidently with people and feeling comfortable in adapting your approach to different audiences is a key skill for this role - whether they are major donors, corporates or community fundraisers. This is particularly important as many of our supporters & fundraisers are bereaved.
Building positive supporter connections is at the heart of what we do at SUDEP Action, so setting a positive example of this through your plans and actions, and demonstrating the importance of maintaining strong, personalised supporter relationships is key. You’ll know how to follow processes to record, monitor and evaluate supporters’ engagement with community fundraising activities, so this feeds back into how the charity operates.
Much of the charity’s income comes from our motivated and passionate supporters, so this role is a key part of income generation. The successful candidate will be able to build on current processes and successes to grow our engagement across all fundraising activities, platforms and campaigns. Help For Heroes are looking for a highly skilled, professional, and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our expanding clinical team. Are you a committed, flexible OT with a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience looking to expand your skills and have the opportunity to work with the Armed Forces Community? If you have the ability to work independently but still enjoy having the support of a team, you could contribute your skills and experience to improve quality of life. If you have experience of delivering Occupational Therapy in both physical and mental health conditions, then your holistic approach will help improve lives. Community Fundraising Officer – Temporary Position from May 24 for 6 months (£24-25k)
Remote working with regular travel to the West Midlands and London as required
Why join the UK Sepsis Trust (UKST)? Because there’s an exciting opportunity to work for a significant cause and help build its sustainable future. We’re building our new fundraising team and this temporary role will play an important part in accelerating our ambitious plans to increase annual income during 2024/25.
You will become the fourth member of the Fundraising Team (there are 3 full time staff) and will help to support the fundraising team.
Sepsis is the immune system’s overreaction to an infection or injury. There are over 245,000 cases each year in the UK with approximately 48,000 deaths. UKST aims to reduce preventable deaths from this ‘killer’ condition. We achieve this by:
· Raising awareness
· Supporting those affected by sepsis
· Educating health professionals
· Lobbying political organisations for better sepsis and severe infection care
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver supporter journeys i.e. fundraising resources and stewardship communications to maximise supporter numbers, retention and engagement.
2. Use UKST’s CRM system (Raiser’s Edge) to accurately capture fundraiser information and key data contributing to the improved development and implementation of fundraising processes.
3. Communicate proactively and effectively with team members to pass on all relevant information, deliver excellent supporter care and to maximise fundraising opportunities.
4. Provide excellent customer service members of the public, either via phone, mail and in person, help to develop Fundraising activity whilst also offering our Support Services where necessary.
5. Represent the charity as and when required in schools, local businesses, and community groups, including speaking at events if – not essential
6. Keep up to date with best practice in fundraising and ensure compliance with the latest legislation and guidelines.
7. Assist in prioritising & managing enquiries about our Community Fundraising Programme via our dedicated inboxes.
8. Work collaboratively with the fundraising team and our Communications and Marketing Team to ensure maximum press and social media coverage is obtained for UKST’s community fundraising activities.

The role: Fundraising Manager
We are seeking a Fundraising Manager with a passion for our mission, who will build positive relationships to secure significant income, working together to harness the power of adventure to create lasting change and transform communities for all.
This is a new role, leading our small but growing Fundraising Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the successful candidate will oversee all fundraising income generation activity and lead on our Major Donor Giving Programme. Overview
The Programme Manager role will be crucial to the success and development of the charity. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of 3+ Worldwide Radiology projects, operating across Malawi, Ghana and The Gambia.
