If so, St Giles Trust is looking for a collaborative Financial Wellbeing Coach to join our team, where you will be responsible for the delivery of Finance, Benefit and Debt services to referrals made by Wales Probation Service.

About this key role

As our Financial Wellbeing Coach, you will provide person-centred support to a caseload of service users who will either be serving community sentences or have been released from prison.  This will involve undertaking assessment and action planning with individual service users and creating a safe and trusting environment, using trauma-informed practice to successfully facilitate a supportive and constructive relationship with service users.

We will also count on you to deliver a range of interventions to service users which contribute towards the achievement of prescribed outcomes, and to work with service users flexibly, meeting and undertaking interventions in a range of locations across a wide geographical area.  Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with external agencies and working towards contractual targets and outcomes within agreed timescales and in line with specified quality standards are also vital aspects of the role.

The contract requires clearance through HMPPS vetting.

What we are looking for

• Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people, e.g. those with complex and multiple needs.

• Proven record of working with partner agencies.

• Evidence of training at specialist level in money and/or welfare benefits advice.

• Higher level certificate in money and/or welfare benefit advice from accreditation.

• The ability to assess clients’ needs and provide tailored, client-led support.

• Able to work sensitively with clients applying trauma informed strategies.

• A full driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.

• Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Welsh language desirable but not a necessity.

About the role:

You will lead and support a team of Homicide Family Caseworkers to meet VS and Homicide Service standards and contractual requirements. You will be able to demonstrate the excellent organisational skills essential to managing a demanding and diverse workload and will have experience of achieving key performance indicators, as set by the Operation managers and Deputy Head of Service.

We pride ourselves on providing exceptional trauma informed advocacy and support to all service users and you will have an understanding of the impact that trauma and bereavement can have on individuals. We support staff to keep them safe within their role and you will lead on the importance of personal and professional resilience and wellbeing for the team.

You will have excellent communication skills and will support the Operation Managers to maintain the highest standards of service delivery, across a widely geographically dispersed team. You will be prepared to travel across the geographical area including occasional overnight stays to ensure you can meet team members in person as well as online. A driving license and use of a car are both essential as well as access to public transport. You will be reimbursed for all travel costs.

You will also enjoy working closely with a range of stakeholders (including Police Family Liaison Officers and Senior Investigation Officers within the Major Crime teams) and will have experience in building constructive working relationships, focused on delivering the best service for vulnerable service users. You should be a confident presenter, and able to share the service and work we do to inform, educate and encourage notifications and referrals into the service.

About the role:

This role is home working based with travel in the West Midlands area of England. As a Homicide Service Children and Young Person caseworker you will be:

• Delivering a specialist service to children and young people (CYP) bereaved by homicide, and for those CYP who have witnessed a homicide
• Working collaboratively and jointly within the Homicide Service and other relevant organisations that can help to progress identified needs and ensure that young people are central to all processes that involve them.
• Acting as the designated caseworker and manage a caseload
• Implementing the CYP Homicide Service Delivery Model
• Work closely and support colleagues to provide a trauma informed service to children and young people.

You will be responsible for providing a high-quality, front-line service to bereaved young people following murder or manslaughter. Working with colleagues in the National Homicide Service, as well as partner agencies including education, police, courts, social services and many other statutory and third sector organisations.

You will need to be able to travel to face to face sessions within, and occasionally outside of region, and therefore a driving license and use of a car are essential. You will be reimbursed for all travel costs.

About the role:

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who will promote and increase engagement with the Humberside ABC Service. The Humberside ABC service will provide services to anyone affected by crime and as an Engagement Officer you will work alongside our team to enhance the offer we provide by managing volunteers, promoting the service and working with our partners including the police.

As an Engagement Officer you will be responsible for:

• Recruiting and managing a diverse team of volunteers including Criminal Justice Champions (CJCs)
• Promoting the work of the service through events and presentations
• Providing training and awareness sessions to partner agencies including Humberside Police
• Maintaining and developing our online presence including updating website information and controlling our social media accounts
• Income generation and identifying fundraising opportunities

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who is motivated, engaging and innovative. You will play an integral part in developing and embedding our Criminal Justice Champion (CJC) and Victim Friendly Organisation (VFO) programmes across Humberside to ensure that victims have a voice within the criminal justice system and organisations are promoting victim's rights and voices.

You will attend events, network with other agencies and develop and deliver presentations to both internal and external colleagues, community groups and other identified audiences. This means that although the role is home-based, regular travel is required within Humberside and occasionally across the wider region.

An ABC of CSA is a creative resource co-produced with 40 CSA survivors to support better conversations about child sexual abuse, including: a set of alphabet cards, a touring exhibition and associated cross-sector training. 

The Role
We are looking for a Training and Development Coordinator to join us, who has strong communication skills and excellent organisational ability. You may have experience in coordinating a training programme or developing business leads for ongoing training or sales opportunities. You may have a background in arts and/or mental health or experience working in the sexual violence sector, therapy or counselling.

You will help Viv Gordon Company to develop, market and sell existing training centred around An ABC of CSA and recruit, support and coordinate a small team of trainers. Reporting to (and with the support of) the company’s Executive Producer, this will include:

• Support VGC in cross sector consultation to identify training needs of different potential clients to inform training design
• Develop contacts and leads for training bookings via email, phone calls and relevant networking events 
• Develop training info pack and relevant materials (with a graphic designer if needed)
• Contribute to the development of marketing materials and coordinate distribution to relevant parties 
• Plan & coordinate the train the trainers session with VGC
• Help recruit trainers 
• Coordinate the trainers going to their delivery sessions inc. any access support requirements 
• Be the main point of contact for trainers and clients when delivering their training sessions
• Get feedback from clients and implement changes with VGC where required 
• Implement & coordinate evaluation of the training 
• Follow finance processes
• Follow company access needs 
• Any other duties that reasonably fall within the role

About You
The successful contractor will demonstrate the following skills:

Essential

• Strong communication skills, including confidence making phone calls with prospective and existing clients across different sectors
• The ability to work well in a team and independently 
• Building and maintaining contacts for potential training opportunities/clients 
• Experience of planning and/or coordinating a training programme or similar
• Experience of coordinating a small team of trainers
• Experience of budget management and following financial processes 
• Experience creating and distributing marketing strategies 
• Proven organisational skills 
• Attention to detail
• Experience of formatting documents using Google Docs, Microsoft Word or equivalent
• Working knowledge of access and inclusion for a range of access needs

Desirable

• Experience of being in survivor-led or activist spaces
• Experience of working in arts, mental health, sexual violence or therapy/counselling sectors
• Active listening skills
