Deputy Service Director

We are looking for a Deputy Services Director to support a cluster of Area Managers across England and Wales.

This role is home based, with regular travel across the regions.

The Role

This role is home-based, regular travel and some unsocial hours will be necessary.  As a Deputy Service Director, you will:

• Support the Services Director to manage services across England and Wales

Voice4Change England is recruiting for an Infrastructure and Development Officer who will effectively manage outreach and consultation with BME organisations and communities across England. We are looking for a proactive, motivated and outgoing person to join our Infrastructure and Development Team.

You will be passionate about social justice and addressing inequalities, can assess community needs and deliver infrastructure support addressing under-funding, and help to build sustainability and resilience in BME groups as well as help groups develop opportunities for greater impact.

The role will be remote working with monthly meetings and project related travel across England.

Main responsibilities 

• Organise and deliver outreach to reach and engage BME organisations and be informed by them on needs and issues.

• Organise roadshows and other events to engage and consult with BME organisations on particular issues and themes that emerge from outreach and consultation.

• Liaise with external agencies and service providers to help broker increased inclusion of BME organisations.

Responsibilities include:

Leadership, Strategy and Governance

• Be an active member of the Made in Hackney Senior Leadership Team, working together to galvanise the organisation behind the strategic plan

• Contribute to strategic discussions on the future path of the organisation; providing oversight on key initiatives as required as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

• Proactively participate in and/or lead team meetings to ensure effective communication and mutual support

• Responsible for regular organisation-wide policy, procedure and risk assessment reviews

Salesforce Admin
To be the main point of contact for core users' technical support and training needs, and to develop the Salesforce platform to improve organisational efficiency, relationship management and income generation. Intensive training will be provided to support this role.

• Act as the system administrator and manage admin functions including assigning new users, creating reports, dashboards, surveys, application forms etc;

• Onboard and train new users, and grow the level of expertise among the core team;

• Implement custom features when new work streams/programmes are set up and as organisational needs grow;

• Oversee support partnerships with external technical support and training providers.

• Support the Head of Fundraising & Communications and Community Programmes Manager with the creation of reports and dashboards in salesforce to present programme outcomes for funder and trustee reports and the MIH Annual Report;

• App Integration – use apps such as Mailchimp and 123 Form Builder (survey software) and integrate with Salesforce

Venue Management 
MIH has a part-time Venue Manager who is responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the ‘Liberty Hall’ kitchen venue. The Head of Operations  will oversee them and support key areas of venue management in the following ways:

• Manage relationship with venue partner ‘Clapton Commons’ to ensure key services of venue are running smoothly and represent MIH in oversight committee meetings; 

• Ensure venue and office equipment is safe to use and repaired/replaced/PAT tested on time;

• Ensure the venue meets the latest Health & Safety requirements, Fire Safety Standards and is fully accessible;

• Support acquisition of new kitchen equipment when required, such as ovens, hobs etc either from a donated source or purchased from a supplier;

Finance

• Organise quarterly budget meetings between the core delivery team and Finance Manager to review budget and expenditure; 

• Ensure the finance team understands the requirements and deadlines of board meetings and provide reminders to them for preparing the required financial reporting.

Line Management

• Line management responsibility for 3 direct reports, creating a supportive environment for growth and development

Provide reception and general office support for our busy team

• Be the first point of contact for members of the public contacting Glass Door, answering the phones and logging all calls; dealing with incoming enquiries by telephone, email, website feedback or voicemail; passing on queries to colleagues as appropriate.
• Manage enquiries from guests and either responding to these or referring them to caseworkers as appropriate.
• Be responsible for day-to-day management of the office by dealing with incoming and outgoing mail (including franking and delivery to the post office).
• Manage the meeting rooms and meeting room calendars.
• Monitor office equipment to ensure functionality and report any breakages or repairs needed (including IT) and re-ordering office supplies, etc.
• Be responsible for monitoring parking in front of the office and ensuring management and safe storage of keys for the charity’s motor vehicles.

Support our Fundraising, Communications and Volunteering functions

• Help to process deliveries of physical donations; scan cheques and ensure cash donations are recorded, secured in the safe and the Fundraising and Communications (FRC) team are notified.
• Provide ad hoc support to the FRC team such as ordering stationery / supplies, sorting equipment / doing stock checks and assisting with mass mail outs.

Established 6 years ago, the schemes have seen impressive growth and now bring in almost £1million per year. There is still huge potential for development, expansion and innovation.

You will be an ambitious individual with a background in managing mid- and high-value membership schemes. With a focus on stewardship, cultivation events, and collaboration with the rest of the Philanthropy team, you’ll drive engagement and uplift donors.

As Friends and Patrons Manager, you will:

• Lead the strategic development of the Friends and Patrons programme, with a focus on innovation and driving growth
• Oversee the stewardship journeys of Friends and Patrons (£55 to £20,000), with a portfolio of your own donors giving at the higher level
• Responsible for day to day management of the Royal Albert Hall America Patron Scheme
• Work with the Executive Events Manager to deliver an engaging programme of cultivation and recruitment events
• Work closely with the rest of the Philanthropy team to identify opportunities to uplift donors and secure major gifts
• Provide leadership and support to the Friends and Patrons Officer and the Friends and Patrons Coordinator

You would be joining a small, tight-knit team, harnessing your passion for designing and delivering exceptional, engaging events (whether virtually or in-person).

About you:

We’re looking for an experienced events fundraiser or someone with substantial experience in a comparable transferable field, with experience in project management and the end-to-end development and delivery of events.

You’ll be a confident communicator with strong marketing experience and focused on exceptional supporter experience whilst being accomplished at building great relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Combined with excellent organisation and time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities whilst keeping to deadlines, you’ll bring your knowledge, creativity and new ideas to help continue to shape the future of our Bespoke Events team.

You will be adept at using data and insight to identify potential areas of growth and be a proactive self-starter, responsible for the end-to-end development and delivery of the events you manage and be comfortable analysing performance and making recommendations for change where necessary.

As an Assistant Housing Manager you will work closely with the Housing Manager to support the delivery of operational efficiency across the Company's six residential sites and services for 206 residents, including leasehold.
