We are seeking Community Support Workers to join one of our community-based services in Stockport, which aims to provide extensive care, specialist positive behaviour support and promote independence and inclusion within the local community, in order to empower the individuals to take control of their own lives. The main focus is to provide the highest level of support in order to enable greater independence, choice and fulfilment for the individuals.
Salary – £20,296.90 (£12.01ph) for a 32.5 hour week, plus enhanced pay for weekend hours of +25% hourly rate. (Full time equivalent salary of £23,412 for 37.5hrs)
Working Pattern – 32.5 hours (full time) with part time hours also available. Hours range from - 9.00am through to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Some evening and weekend work is also required which is on a rota. An enhanced payment is paid for weekend hours of +25% hourly rate.
Location – Specialist Day Service Provision, Kershaw’s Tanner, Water Street, Stockport, a Together Trust Service.

The Minorities Community Gambling Link Worker will deliver an awareness-raising and personalised, holistic support programme for minority community groups in Lambeth experiencing gambling and gambling addiction-related harm, or those impacted by the gambling of a close family member. You will:

Deliver an outreach programme by regularly attending community events, visiting local groups/ spaces and organisations frequented by minority community groups in Lambeth.

Develop partnerships and deliver outreach support to primary and secondary care partners and services across Lambeth.

Speak with minority community groups in Lambeth, either 1-2-1 or presenting to groups, to discuss the type of support available and promote the work and support of the Primary Care Gambling Service and Age UK Lambeth services.

Provide holistic support to patients referred to the Primary Care Gambling Service, helping to address housing, debt, bereavement, loneliness, mental health and other related social issues, that are both a symptom and/or a cause of their gambling.

Meet clients on a one-to-one basis, making home visits where appropriate and allowing clients the time and space to discuss ‘what matters to me’.

The Peer Support In-Reach Service is a partnership between several local Minds. South East London Mind have a vacancy for a part-time Senior Peer Support Worker to join the team in Lewisham and line manage a Peer Support Worker.
The successful candidate will have personal lived experience of mental health problems, as well as experience of managing staff or volunteers. You will need to be able to travel around the local area to meet your clients in the community and work in hospitals.
You will use your lived experience to help people build skills to develop independence, connect with family and friends, pursue social or vocational interests, get more involved in their local community and stay healthy and mentally well. The role

The right fit

You are confident professional relationship builder with have good awareness of Safeguarding procedures. Strong Administration skills and understanding of compliant behaviours also, experience of supporting. We are seeking Senior Community Support Workers (Positive Behaviour Support)to join a new short break residential home in Wythenshawe. You will provide first line management to a team of Community Support Worker (Positive Behaviour Support), developing their capability through demonstrating the right values and behaviours, mentoring staff, and supporting their ongoing development.
You will work alongside other practitioners within the residential home and community, to upskill and increase the resilience of children and their families. Additionally, staff employed within the service will have the opportunity to receive formal Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) training and coaching from qualified behavioural specialists.
Working Pattern – 37.5 hours per week, worked flexibly over five days. Weekend working will be required.
Salary – £25,546 (£13.10ph) rising to £27,590 (£14.15) from April 2024 based on incremental pay progression.
