The role
We are looking for Housing Support Workers who can provide intensive housing management & support to service users in our supported housing projects.
You will work proactively with service users who have been homeless and have complex needs to sustain their tenancies and move on into independent living.
You will also work empathetically to empower services users, actively engaging them with the community and helping them to support each other, to develop resilience, to live independently, and to be an asset to the community.
The right fit

You will have prior experience with service users who have been homeless and/or have complex needs including, Mental health, substance misuse, domestic abuse & chaotic lives etc.

You will also have strong ICT skills.

You will be competent in facilitating support sessions and devising support plans to achieve successful outcomes. These will be person centred in their approach, identifying individual needs and strengths of each Service User.

As the post-holder, you will be working in our Camden Women's Recovery Service hostel providing specialist interventions for a designated caseload and to the wider client group, via our in-house recovery programme.
Your role will be working intensively with the residents on their supports needs. The role of Complex Needs Project Worker is a specialist role, designed to work with people who may be more difficult to reach and establish working relationships with. As such, you will role model good practice for working with those who have experienced multiple disadvantage by adopting a trauma informed approach.
Within this setting, you will also work to establish a culture of co-production where residents are at the forefront of the work that is carried out, helping to promote autonomy and build individual confidence and interpersonal skills.
The rota for the post is earlies (8 am - 4 pm) and lates (2.30pm - 10.30pm).
About you:
- Previous experience of working with female rough sleepers or people with complex mental health, physical health or substance use support needs.
- An understanding of working with people using person-centred approaches and working collaboratively within a harm minimisation and recovery framework.

Complex Needs Worker
Morgan Hunt are working in collaboration with a leading homelessness charity based in east London who are in search of a Complex Needs Worker to work with in their 35 bed service for clients who have been found recently rough sleeping in the borough and referred by street outreach teams and StreetLink.
Candidate requirements:
- Pro-actively work with a caseload of clients to assess their support needs and put in place well-being plans
- Ensure clients engaged at the service adequately safeguarded whilst at the service against any internal or external risk
- Referring clients to specialist external agencies including drug treatment services, community mental health teams, probation, immigration issues etc to ensure needs of the clients are met
- Partnership working with all clients to best ensure positive outcomes and providing advice and guidance around longer-term housing options for successful resettlement and ongoing support where necessary
Candidate Needs:
- Experience of casework delivery to a caseload of clients with complex support needs
- Experience of conducting needs and risk assessments and putting in place well-being plans
- Ability to present clients with re-housing options based on their support needs
- Assisting clients to obtain their welfare, housing and related rights
- Experience of referring and Liaising with external agencies on behalf of clients
- Ability to work a shift rota including weekends (no night work required)
- A DBS certificate issued within the last 12 months or registered to the online update service

Birmingham Young People’s Service provides holistic support services for young people 10 to 25 with needs related to alcohol and substance misuse, including those that are affected by a family members alcohol and substance misuse.
All Complex Needs Practitioners are expected to work days, evenings, and weekends across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings, when required. Which will need a flexible working pattern from the successful candidate. The caseload will include a mixture of community and multi-agency referral pathways including health, social care, education, youth provision, and criminal justice.
As an energetic and confident self-starter, you will have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or above, Dip SW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). We are looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker to provide support to children and young people diagnosed with cancer and their families. The role is permanent, 29 hours per week.
Our work is rewarding but also complex and demanding; you will need to be resourceful and resilient. You will work closely within our supportive Young Lives vs Cancer team, an established NHS multi-disciplinary team and with services in the community.

This role falls under the hybrid-variable category. Your contractual base will be both Home and The Royal Hospital for Children and Young People, Edinburgh. Our client, a leading homelessness charity based in London, are looking for a Complex Needs Worker to work in a complex needs service for women experiencing homelessness in south London. Due to a rise in female rough sleepers, and the need to safeguard the most vulnerable in society, a new female only rough sleeper service has been commissioned to provide support and ongoing casework to vulnerable women engaged at the service with the aim of rehousing clients into more independent accommodation. Our services (one being a specific women only service) provide accommodation and additional emergency bed spaces to people with a Hackney connection, who are at risk of homelessness or rough sleeping, and also have additional support needs which include; substance use, mental health or longer term complex needs.
Our hostels offer a range of services to clients at different stages in the process of change and works closely with an adjacent health and advice centre operated by partner agencies. Operationally, the service focuses on promoting recovery, providing assessment, support and resettlement services within a framework of active engagement and person-centred planning.
