JOB PURPOSE
To support the delivery of the aims of Age UK East London through the growth and development of Age UK East London’s volunteer programmes. This will include volunteer opportunities across the whole organisation to include:
- Befriending: Telephone Befriending and Digital Buddies, Connect Newham and Friends at Home.
- Information & Advice and Advocacy (quality assured).
- General Volunteering i.e., Admin support, activity volunteers.

KEY TASKS

BlindAid's exciting SHARE LONDON Project forms an integral part of our overall service pathway for our blind and visually impaired service users. Bring your enthusiasm and join our passionate team based in Bermondsey Street; your role will be based at our head office, but you will also manage your own diary to travel to meet service users and volunteers as needed across 12 inner London Boroughs.
We need an experienced volunteer coordinator/trainer to lead on SHARE LONDON. Our project is funded by Big Lottery Reaching Communities and supports our service users to access all the social events that London has to offer; whether that is getting out for a cup of coffee, a walk in the park, going to a museum, a tactile tour of a theare or going to a concert. Our service users need the vital asset of a competent Sighted Guide Volunteer to share their experience with and help them to navigate.
As the project has been running for almost 3 years, we already have a substantial bank of fabulous, loyal volunteers, who are already matched with service users with similar interests; but we are now seeking to expand our project so we are also recruiting for new volunteers currently.
All our volunteers must be trained as Sight Guides and hold an advanced DBS certificate: if you have not already worked in the VI sector and hold your own Sighted Guide Certificate, we will provide training for you.

To support vulnerable single homeless adults who have been referred to our service. Individuals reside in our shared temporary accommodation and receive floating support from you, to ensure that they can acquire the skills needed to progress to independent living
As a Support Coordinator you will be assigned to a client group and provide them with guidance, according to their assessed needs, and their care and support plan. You will enable your clients to self-develop and progress, reaching the personal goals they have set so that they can move on to being fully independent in the community.
This is primarily a lone working role and will involve communicating face to face with clients on a regular basis. You will conduct one to one key work sessions, house group meetings, signposting and link them in with other support services.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Drive new applications from potential volunteer tutors, ensuring a strong supply of high quality applications to meet growth targets in each region, for both face to face and online delivery.
- Work with the Partnerships and Fundraising Manager to build on and develop new relationships with organisations, including corporate businesses and the civil service (exact mix defined when role begins), with the aim of encouraging employee volunteering and ensuring a sustainable pipeline of volunteers.

About the role:
We are recruiting an Education and Research Coordinator.
Working with the Head of Operations and across the team, the post holder will coordinate the education and research committees which will include producing agendas and papers, attending and minuting meetings and managing the collection, marking and awarding of bursaries and grants.
The post-holder will also be responsible for assisting with the coordination and delivery of a series of online educational events.

The team work flexibly, with offices based in the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Central London. Opportunity for home working is available.
About you:
We are looking for a team player who can demonstrate excellent relevant administration experience along with excellent organisational skills, self-motivation and the ability to work collaboratively with many stakeholders.
What we offer:

The Development Co-ordinator makes an important contribution to fundraising by providing administrative support to the Development Team and assisting with data administration to help the team better understand donors, prospects, and patrons. This role also involves some financial oversight and general office administration which requires great attention to detail and the ability to plan tasks in a methodical manner.
This role is perfect for someone who really wants to understand the full range of fundraising activities as well as getting involved with staff across the Museum at all levels.
The post holder will work 36 hours per week, core hours Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm with an additional hour to be worked in agreement with line management. This post will adopt a hybrid working model, based in the office and onsite, with some home working by agreement with line management. Some weekend and evening working might be required to assist in the co-ordination of events and programmes.
This opportunity is only available to current members of staff at RMG, applications are welcomed from those still in their probationary period.

We are looking for an experienced, practical and organised candidate to co-ordinate our successful Masters course Curating Art and Public Programmes.
The position of MA Programme Coordinator is an exciting and varied role at Whitechapel Gallery. The ideal person has an interest in curating, education and the art world and is keen to work closely with academics, gallery staff and students to facilitate a promising curriculum. People skills, charisma, tolerance and an open mind. Students must be made to feel like they can approach you and you will be willing to support them and share your experience generously. The person in this role will be responsible for coordinating the day to day running of the programme as well as supporting lecturers in class by facilitating conversations and holding separate mentoring sessions for the students.

Conditions of Work
- Contract: Permanent, Part-Time
- Hours of work: 9:30am – 5:45pm, Monday to Thursday, plus occasional Saturdays, which will be compensated by time off in lieu (only during Open Days)

- Probation period: 6 months

Our peer support offer is group based and will be gradually rolled out across multiple East London boroughs: Tower Hamlets, City and Hackney, Waltham Forest and Newham.
As the Programme Coordinator, you will be responsible for all aspects of development, delivery and shared learnings for improvement, collaborating with volunteers, clinical team and other partner stakeholders.
Your will have knowledge and experience of developing and leading peer support in the context of maternal mental health; excellent, demonstrable project and volunteer management. Experience of monitoring impact . You will need to be confident to prepare and undertake presentations to our stakeholders. You will have experience of inspiring and motivating volunteers and demonstrate an understanding of the challenges faced by women living with traumatic maternity experiences.
This peer support pilot programme is one aspect of a holistic care pathway, to be delivered in partnership with the clinical team at the new maternal mental health hub (OCEAN) with East London Foundation NHS Trust and North East London NHS Trust.
