The Community Fundraiser plays a vital role in fostering and expanding our network of individual givers and community fundraisers. The position is responsible for:

• Developing and managing relationships with our supporters.
• Signing SafeLives up to a programme of fundraising events.
• Maintaining and growing our supporter base.
• Responding to fundraising opportunities from individuals and corporates.

We will occasionally require you to support with organising events for our high-net-worth individuals. The role is managed by our Trusts and Grants Manager. It was a new role in 2022 and the successful candidate will build on the foundations that have been set over the last year and a half.

The ideal candidate will bring creativity and proactivity to the role – thinking outside the box and finding new ways to grow our supporter base and market our opportunities. You will be the perfect balance of engaging and motivational and a rigorous planning coordinator with exceptional attention to detail. You will help us reach new supporters, through events and fundraising, and communicate our key messages in a way that encourages people to support our work.

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. Purpose of the Senior Community Fundraising Officer role:   

As Senior Community Fundraising Officer, the successful candidate will play an integral role in overseeing all income generation via community fundraising. The purpose of this post is to feed into strategy, providing guidance and direction to ensure that Community Fundraising continues to grow as an area of income and that all Community Fundraisers receive high-quality support and stewardship.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Community Fundraising Officer: 

• Line-managing, leading and supporting a team of 2 Community Fundraising Officers

• Taking responsibility for income generation from various sources including:

What we are looking for in our Senior Community Fundraising Officer: 

• At least 2 years’ experience of working in a professional fundraising role. 

• Experience of managing a portfolio of fundraising events for community fundraising. 

• Experience of working within a team and individually to achieve success; meeting or exceeding your financial targets. 

• Demonstrable experience of initiating cross-team working to achieve financial goals. 

• Experience of using a CRM database, such as Raiser’s Edge, Access Charity CRM, or Sales Force, to target and segment supporters. 

• Any experience of developing fundraising strategies for working with educational institutions, community fundraisers and faith groups is also desirable.

The Fundraising Partnerships Manager will be responsible for securing and account managing national corporate partnerships, and national trusts and foundations to help air ambulance charities save even more lives across the UK.

Arts Emergency – Head of Fundraising 

Location: Home or office based - London N4 or Manchester M1.

Arts Emergency, a mentoring charity and support network aiming to address the inequalities in the creative and cultural sectors, is looking for an experienced and motivated fundraiser to provide leadership and management for fundraising activities. 

Since 2013, Arts Emergency has been providing 16-25 year olds in London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and beyond with a trained mentor working in their field of interest. Mentors help Young Talent set goals, explore their passions and make decisions about higher education, training and careers.  After they complete a year of mentoring, Young Talent can continue to access opportunities, advice, resources and paid work from the Arts Emergency Network until they turn 26. The network is made up of thousands of cultural professionals who’ve all offered to share crucial gateways into hard to crack industries like TV, publishing and architecture with young people.

This position will be responsible for raising the necessary income to ensure Arts Emergency’s high-quality, person focused, asset-based services for young people are sustainably funded and can

scale. This is a new role that reports to the Director of Fundraising & Marketing, overseeing a diverse income portfolio including individual giving, major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate donations, commercial income and community fundraising. The Head of Fundraising will have a particular focus on managing and growing the charity’s income from individuals and organisations, with an aim to increase overall fundraising to £1.25m in 2026.

Arts Emergency are seeking candidates that are passionate about building and developing strong teams and who can implement ambitious plans for funding work by making best use of their large community of young people, volunteers and organisations across the Arts, Humanities and in the Cultural and Creative industries. New School Partner Recruitment 

• Oversee and co-ordinate all new school partner recruitment sales and marketing activity

• Proactively seek opportunities for growth of the First Give partners network 

• Develop and design and production of marketing and sales resources to support all sales activity

Communications

Raising Futures Kenya is an award-winning small UK charity, working closely alongside a wonderful partner NGO in Kenya to deliver a hugely successful vocational training and business skills programme called Seed of Hope.

Since 2002 Seed of Hope has supported over 4,000 disadvantaged young people aged 14-25 in Kenya with the opportunity to learn a skilled trade, computer skills and business skills. Many of these young people are unable to finish their formal education as they are experiencing poverty, so our courses are completely free, to ensure no-one is excluded from the opportunity to learn.

Our free training courses also address any of the barriers which may stop a young person from being able to learn. We offer the Seed of Hope students in Kenya;

• free lunches everyday, you can’t learn when you’re hungry.

• menstrual hygiene packs to ensure girls don’t miss lessons because they can’t afford sanitary pads.

• childcare vouchers to ensure young mothers can learn.

• Life skills lessons addressing sexual and reproductive health, gender based violence, knowing and asserting your rights, advocating for gender equality etc.

We are looking for a talented storyteller and writer to join our small team in the UK and create exceptional content. You’ll support with crafting engaging funding applications, which stand out from the crowd and capture the funders hearts. You’ll create bright and positive social media and blog posts to share the uplifting stories of students and graduates from Seed of Hope and grow our online supporter base, in turn increasing our donors.

We don’t mind if you don’t have charity experience, we’re willing to train you and show you what we do. We are looking for someone who can write excellent content and showcase what we do.

Hours: 14 hours per week, to be worked as either full 7 hour days, or spreading the hours across the week. Regular days and hours to be agreed in advance.

Salary: £28,000 (pro-rata for 14 hours a week)

Pension: 3% employer contribution, 5% employee contribution (opt-out available).

Contract: 1 year fixed term contract. With a view to making it permanent if resources allow.

Base: The role will be home-based and require your own computer. Occasional travel may be required for meetings, expenses will be paid in accordance with our Expenses Policy. SENIOR YOUTH AND COMMUNITY WORKER

LOCATION: ENACT, 52 ISLAND CENTRE WAY, ENFIELD, EN3 6GS
HOURS: FULL TIME (40HRS PER WEEK)
RESPONSIBLE TO: YOUTH AND COMMUNITY TEAM LEAD

SALARY: £32,543 PER ANNUM

Enact have a vacancy for a Senior Youth and Community Worker to lead our open-access community youth provision.  We are looking for an experienced youth practitioner to manage our youth team and work within the enact team to develop a range of engaging activities and training opportunities for young people with particular focus on those aged 10 to 19 in the Enfield community. 

The Senior Youth and Community Worker needs to be a passionate, enthusiastic and professional. They will lead the youth team to create community-based opportunities for the whole family, in accordance with the ethos and values of Oasis. The Senior Youth worker will also support the enact team to develop and be involved in community cohesion projects involving children, families and youth.
