Check Nown exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and creative person to join the expanding Commercial Partnerships team on a fixed term basis for 12 months, covering maternity leave.
Your role will be a mixture of New Business and Account Management, looking after existing high profile accounts, whilst also seeking opportunities through new partnerships. Working with the Parkinson's community is at the heart of all our partnerships, so you will have a passion for co-production and collaboration.

What you’ll do:

Manage existing high profile accounts, such as Next, ensuring their growth and maximising opportunity to deliver income targets and strategic value.

Work on new business through prospecting new opportunities, creating leads, pitching ideas and finding a shared purpose in collaboration with corporates.

You will work on a mixture of partnerships in cause related marketing, sponsorship, charity of the year and strategic partnerships.

Work closely with internal colleagues to deliver projects and build new opportunities to help the charity deliver against its strategy

Work closely with the Parkinson’s community to deliver true community led partnerships that bring benefit to people with Parkinson’s and income.
What you’ll bring:

You are an experienced individual with a proven track record of delivering five and six-figure corporate partnerships.

Our Income Generation Team
Battersea’s multiple award-winning Fundraising department raises around 60% of the Charity’s total income. Within Philanthropy and Partnerships, sits the Corporate Partnerships team.
We explore and cultivate new and existing partnerships with companies to drive income that supports the care of our animals through sponsorship, cause related marketing and aligning strategic objectives.

During the Coronavirus restrictions, our animal-facing staff continued to work on site and our office based staff worked from home. We believe this will support office-based staff to maintain the benefits of home working, while allowing for collaboration and interaction with our animal-facing staff and maintaining a connection to our cause.
As such, you’ll be expected to work in our Battersea office for at least 50% of your working week.

- Experience with identifying and securing new corporate income by developing sector-led approaches, building relationships, and devising partnerships funding packages

About the opportunity:
Action Tutoring has grown rapidly over the last two years, in response to the pandemic and the opportunity presented by the National Tutoring Programme (NTP). We are an ambitious organisation with an exciting new three year strategy in place, focusing on increasing our geographic reach, growing the number of pupils we support each year, building our evidence of impact and growing the role we play in advocacy.
In order to sustain our scale beyond the NTP, we are looking to grow our corporate partnerships team. Corporate partnerships play a key role in our volunteer recruitment strategy and many also provide funding as well as volunteers. With a number of long term, loyal and committed corporate relationships already in place, this role has a solid base to build upon.
This role will focus both on engaging corporates in volunteering and identify opportunities to generate fundraised income too. This role is in the Regional Corporate Partnerships team, which is one of the longest established, regionally based corporate teams in the third sector, with a track record of working with some of the largest and most dynamic businesses in the country. It has delivered strategic partnerships, commercial activity, and all sizes of charity of the year programmes. Members of the team have gone on to senior leadership positions within the NSPCC and led teams at other well-known charities.
We are looking for someone with well-developed business acumen and experience of working with one or more commercial sectors. You will have experience and success in developing relationships in order to achieve results within a fundraising, sales or marketing environment. You will be committed to maximising income generation and you will have experience of delivering strategic plans, budget management and generating new business.
If you are the right person for this post, you are likely to have a proven track record of delivery against high targets and be organised, ambitious, commercial, tenacious and ready for a challenge.
Whilst the role is primarily home based, there is an expectation for the successful candidate to travel freely across the London & South-East region (travel expensed), plus occasionally travel to other parts of the country for team meetings, training and to support the wider team.

This is a permanent role and reporting to the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, responsible for:
- Identifying and securing new corporate income through building relationships
- Developing engaging new business proposals and pitches
- Researching and building a prospect pipeline of potential corporate partners ranging between a value of £5k - £200k per year.
- Providing excellent account management to current and new partners.
- Identifying and securing any areas of 'uplift' to make sure current partners are reaching their maximum potential.
This role will suit an outgoing and confident individual with experience in account/partnership management within the third or commercial sector. It is a home working role with regular travel to partners across London and South East, but there is oppurtunity to do some work from London HQ if you wish, and all travel is expensed. The ideal candidate will live within 1.5 hour commute of London.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to build on the recent success of FareShare's corporate partnerships team and manage and deliver a portfolio of existing fundraising relationships, including leading on the fundraising activities for key retailer accounts such as Tesco.
You will provide excellent relationship and account management to a wide range of partners, delivering a mix of partnership types including charity of the year, commercial brand partnerships/campaigns and retail partnerships.
