Lifecentre is a Registered Charity (No 1127779) with a Christian foundation, providing specialist counselling services across West Sussex to survivors of sexual violation of all ages and all genders. We are looking for an experienced Clinical Lead to be responsible for the delivery of Lifecentre’s clinical services, managing and supporting the clinical staff and supervisors, as well as ensuring Lifecentre policies and procedures are adhered to, kept up to date and uphold the best interests of our clients and mission as a charity. The ideal candidate will be a Counselling (preferred) or Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a practitioner psychologist and ideally chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Ideally they would have specialist training working with sexual trauma or experience in this field as they will be expected to carry their own caseload. We are looking for someone who has experience of leading teams of counselling practitioners including providing clinical support, reviewing performance and developing the team. They will have experience of writing organisational policies to ensure safe and ethical practice within an organisation. They will have a track record of conducting robust psychological assessments and experience of using measurement tools such as CORE. We are looking for someone with extensive experience of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. They will have an open and consultative management style, with a coaching approach and be able to exercise strong clinical judgement. In line with Genuine Occupational Requirements within the Equalities Act 2010, the person will be a committed and mature Christian who is an active part of a church community, and due to the sensitive nature of the work, they need to be female. They will have analytical thinking skills and the ability to see the bigger picture as well as being a confident communicator. They will have relationship building skills with a range of stakeholders. This post is NHS Band 8a equivalent.

Hours: 20 hrs a week
Place of Work: Primarily based in Chichester, attending meetings at other locations as required.
