As Senior Supporter Experience Manager, the successful applicant will develop and take ownership of Age UK's Public Fundraising's over-arching supporter experience strategy by managing a programme that builds long-term relationships between Age UK and its supporters, delivering on a supporter first culture.

By doing this, you will ensure that each touchpoint across the supporter experience is engaging, effective and reflects Age UK brand and values.
You will provide robust data led, testing strategies that enable cross-sell, upsell and ultimately improved lifetime value for Age UK.
We're looking to recruit a proactive self-starter who can contribute to campaign, content and engagement strategies across the charity, ensuring that fundraising audience insight and needs are at the heart of development.
Please note that due to the hybrid nature of this role, the successful applicant will be required to commute to our London office (EC3N 2LB) once a week on Thursday's.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Programme Manager to join The Phoenix Way team. About you

As Philanthropy Manager, you will maximise charitable income through building strong and authentic relationships with these HNWI's, and will be responsible for developing the major donor strategy with the support of the Development Director.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead on the development and delivery of our major donor strategy,
- Identify and build relationships with new individual supporters and prospects and ensure a consistent, healthy pipeline of new supporters
- Increase the number of individual supporters making regular donations (annual/multi-year) year on year
- Employ a variety of personal engagement and communications mechanisms to ensure that prospects and supporters become, and remain, fully engaged with our cause
- Research and identify new donors,
- Analyse income of donations in-building and online, working with Marketing to leverage fundraised income and engagement
- Organise fundraising events, ensuring a smooth donor experience
- Oversee the effective use of internal systems to ensure best practice in fundraising, data collection, gift aid and gift acceptance policy
- Provide support as needed to the wider JW3 Development team, particularly at fundraising events
- Develop and maintain detailed knowledge and information on JW3 services, projects and priority areas in order to keep donors updated
- Represent JW3 externally, communicating the vision, values, and case for support to the wider community at appropriate external forums
- Build and manage appropriate relationships with relevant local and national organisations to strengthen our individual giving abilities
- Attend Development Board meetings and follow up fundraising leads with Trustees
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Extensive and demonstrable experience in a fundraising-focused role
- Proven ability to engage confidently and effectively with a range of audiences
- Demonstrable experience of achieving income against target
- Strong event management skills
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with an ability to develop effective approaches and cases for support
- Experience of developing positive, effective relationships with trustees
- Demonstrable understanding of the principles of Data Protection legislation, alongside other relevant legislation and guidelines within fundraising
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation and numeracy skills
- Highly organised, with efficient management of time and responsibilities
- Excellent attention to detail
- Willing and able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the team and organisation

The Middlesbrough Programme on Gendered Poverty is an exciting collaborative programme bringing together Buttle UK, the Smallwood Trust and Turn2us to test whether a co-produced & collaborative approach to grant-making can transform the lives of women and their children.
The programme aims to:
- Shift power to people worst impacted by gendered poverty and work to end gendered poverty
- Develop the programme using co-production techniques so that the voices and experiences of the women and their children, who face issues created by gendered poverty, inform and shape the programme
- Deliver the programme with and to communities of the most marginalised women and their children
- Apply an evidence-based approach to our work and programme design
- Use grants as a primary response and tool, effectively and efficiently
- Learn as we go and work to understand how intersections of inequality impact on our grant making
- Identify opportunities to influence other grant makers and policies to support wider system change.
We are seeking an energetic, organised and passionate Programme Manager who will work with us to take this programme to the next level. We want this project to be led and informed by the women affected by gendered poverty because we know it will help us have a greater impact and shift power.
The Programme Manager sits with Turn2us’ Local Programmes Team alongside two other programmes working with communities to achieve financial security for all.
We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working, however regular in person work in Middlesbrough and London will be required.

Are you a successful major gifts fundraiser who is looking for a new challenge and is keen to work at Europe’s largest conservation organisation?
Our high-achieving Philanthropy Team is looking to recruit a Philanthropy Manager to help grow our donor portfolio and further increase philanthropic income for the RSPB. We are looking for an experienced major gifts fundraiser to join our friendly and hard-working team who will help us achieve our ambitious goals.
You will be responsible for cultivating a portfolio of prospects and donors through a range of engagement, to gain their financial support for programmes, projects and the wider RSPB. Working with colleagues in relevant departments, countries and regions, you will manage donor relationships and solicitation strategies to achieve the best outcome for the RSPB
What's the role about?
As a team player with a positive and diligent approach, you will:
- Look after your own portfolio of donors as well as reaching out to prospects and new donors. You will be responsible for fundraising information to advance plans and ensure prospect and donor records are accurate, incorporating any changes, new activities, updated plans, and new information as well as adding new relationships in keeping with data protection and team procedures.
- Work closely with your team and wider organisation colleagues to implement solicitation strategies, to secure financial support either by direct solicitation, preparing a written proposal, or working with senior management to make a solicitation.
- Be involved in the development of funding proposals for approved priority projects that will inspire potential donors to secure gifts.
- Contribute to the planning of and participate actively in events (face to face and online) to build relationships with donors and prospects for future income and to demonstrate the impact of gifts already received.
- Arrange meetings with individual donors at a variety of venues, including at our reserves, working closely with area and reserve colleagues to deliver an excellent experience for our supporters
- Be jointly responsible for the planning, writing, production and mailing of Philanthropy Matters, our publication aimed at philanthropic supporters.
- Build effective relationships both within the RSPB and external to it that will enhance its reputation and ultimately secure funding. This includes understanding donors’ wishes and aspirations and identifying links with approved priority projects with the aim of securing substantial gifts.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Intermediate levels of fundraising as demonstrated by work successes and recognised fundraising courses
- Experience in how to research and cultivate a prospect. And understanding of how to write a cultivation strategy
- Ability to write funding proposals and prepare briefing documents in advance of meetings and events
- Competent in the use of a CRM system (Salesforce), the Microsoft suite, other databases, research tools and methods
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members, and people and teams outside of our department
- Good judgement when working with donors and ability to recognise potentially sensitive areas between prospects and the RSPB to ensure reputational values are maintained
- Experience of having successfully managed and developed donor relationships leading to substantial support.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
- Experience or interest in the environmental sector
