Overview

Consultants for Change (C4C) is an innovative online professional development programme for those starting out in international development consultancy work or for more experienced consultants. The course aims to deepen your understanding of the processes of consultancy, good practices, as well as the qualities of a good consultant. (NB People who are not consultants but support external partners or offices may benefit as well).

The course is divided into 7 modules, each comprising self-paced activities on INTRAC e-learning platform (videos, readings, and exercises to be completed on a weekly basis), one interactive "live session" facilitated by our experienced trainers, and an individual mentoring session to get tailored advice (all included in the course fees).

This online programme is highly interactive, and you will get tailored feedback from the trainers and opportunities to interact with your peers.

What you will learn

The course will equip you with a core understanding of how change happens and how to enable organisations and their staff to own and drive this change themselves. You will work on your own personal development to become a trustworthy consultant "with soul" and an agent of change. These soft skills can be applied to a whole range of interventions, from fundraising to project evaluation, and ensure that whatever intervention is done, it is done in a way that empowers people and ensures the change is sustained.

What you require

You will need a computer and reliable internet access. For the best user experience, you should download Zoom on your computer. Webcam and headset may be helpful but not necessary.

Weekly live sessions will take place via Zoom on Wednesdays from 1:00pm to 2:30pm UK time (except on 29 October when there won't be a live session). Recordings will be made available to those who can't join live.
