Environmental Leadership Programme

Overview

UpRising are currently accepting applications for our Environmental Leadership Programme, a free 6-month online green leadership programme for 18-24 year olds. Our workshops and sessions are designed to help participants develop the knowledge, skills and networks they need to become green leaders and also gives participants access to our employability course to increase their chances of obtaining a job in the green and sustainability sector.

The next programme will run from 1st February 2021 - end of July 2021.

What you will learn

The Environmental Leadership Programme will run for 6 months, during which time particiants will take part in weekly workshops and also have access to employability support and resources. Participants will also receive personal and professional development support during their time on the programme.

All sessions will be held online via Zoom. 

During the programme, you will:

• Take part in expert-led, online workshops on topics like the green economy, creating a theory of change, networking and media training

• Learn how environmental change is made on a local, national and global level, directly from the people who are living and breathing it

• Design and run an online environmental social action campaign

• Participate in online employability skills workshops

• Be matched with a professional mentor

What you require

The programme is open to 18-24 year olds who are living, working or studying anywhere in England.
