About the Course:

This 3 day course provides comprehensive training together with reviews of actual events which enables First Aid to be administered to a casualty within the work place.

Course Content:

• Aims & priorities of First Aid • HSE regulations- first aid kits-recording of incidents and accidents • How to deal with an emergency • Casualty assessment • Recovery position • Practical resuscitation – CPR • Choking and other airway complications • External and internal bleeding major and minor • Eyes, Ears and Nose injuries Fracture management, muscles and joint injuries • Spinal injuries • Head injuries • Recognise and how to deal with Shock , Anaphylactic shock, Electric Shock • Auto injector pen training • Burns & scalds • Heart conditions • Stroke • Seizures • Diabetes • Poisons • Extreme temperature conditions • Understanding and usage of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) • Written & practical assessments
