Overview

This four-week online course is for anyone working for social change who wants to develop their leadership and management skills, giving participants great insight into how to take their leadership to the next level and use their abilities to transform the world around them.

In addition to the online learning, you will also get the chance to partake in two online live classrooms where you will be able to meet your cohort, discuss ideas and network!

What you will learn

This course will give you a clear understanding of who you are as a leader, where your strengths lie and how you can develop going forwards.

You will learn to:

  • Know yourself. Self-reflection is central to this course. We'll nudge you to think critically about your own leadership but it will be your brain that does the heavy lifting, not ours.
  • Work with others. None of us exist or succeed in isolation. We'll challenge you to look at how your teams currently work and help you understand how your leadership can impact the team.
  • Understand your context. Why do you do what you do? Why does your organisation exist? Through diving deeper into these two fundamental questions, we'll investigate the importance of assessing and understanding your context as a leader working for social change.
  • Take action. We'll ask you to take everything you've learned about yourself, how you work with others, and why you do what you do, and put it into an actionable Leadership Development Plan. This way, you'll know exactly what to do next to go forward on your leadership journey.

What you require

  • No matter if you’re looking to change careers, have just started your first job, or are an experienced CEO, the programme is suitable for you if you seek to better understand yourself, your organisation and your development needs.
  • The course is based on self-directed learning and is designed to fit around and complement your day-to-day work. To get the best out of it, you will need to dedicate about four-five hours a week, for four weeks.
  • But mainly, you'll only need yourself, your passion for social change, and your determination to become a better leader.
