About the Course

This qualification is designed for those learners wishing to become a Paediatric First Aider in the workplace with a responsibility for the welfare of infants and children. Learners gaining this qualification will know that First Aid is the responsibility of everyone involved in the working environment.

Course Covers:

• Principles and priorities of First Aid • How to deal with an emergency & Casualty assessment • Recovery Position • Resuscitation • Choking and other breathing disorder Anaphylactic shock • Auto injector pen training • Treatment and control of bleeding • Nose, Ear and Eye injuries • Recognise and how to deal with shock • Head injuries • Fractures and dislocations and soft tissue injuries • Burns and Scalds • Poisoning • Bites & Stings • Febrile convulsions, seizures • Diabetes • Meningitis and sudden illness
