The role of an RPR is crucial to ensure the rights of people who are deprived of their liberty in care homes and hospitals are upheld enabling their voices to be heard, and their views, wishes and feelings represented.​

  • A comprehensive understanding of the legislation affecting people who may be subject to Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
  • The role of an RPR within the context of a Deprivation of Liberty
  • Instructed and non-instructed advocacy within the role of the RPR
  • Gaining knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and why it is important for the role of Relevant Person Representative
