FareShare is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 18 independent organisations. Together, we take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to nearly 8,500 frontline charities and community groups.

Main purpose of the role

We have a dynamic Fundraising team and over the last three years we have seen an incredible growth across established income streams and creation of new exciting income streams. At the same time, the organisation is passionate and committed to increasing our activities so that more food can reach the 8,500 charities and community groups nationwide. To meet this ambition, we are looking to recruit a talented and experienced fundraiser as our Corporate Partnerships Officer who is able to jump straight in to help deliver our Corporate Fundraising strategy.

FareShare’s recent increased brand profile and consumer awareness, along with our dual purpose in creating both social and environmental impact, gives us a strong proposition.  This is an exciting time to join FareShare, as we have experienced huge growth and have a fantastic portfolio of corporate partners. High profile partners such as McDonald’s, Tesco, Yorkshire Building Society, Gousto, Curry’s, belVita, Quaker and Coca Cola support us in a variety of ways including commercial activity, staff and customer fundraising and corporate donations.

We are looking for an ambitious Corporate Partnerships Officer that wants to maximise fundraising opportunities with existing partners through excellent account management and also enjoys new business and converting leads to new partnerships. This role will be split with 60% of your time allocated to Account Management and 40% to New Business.  

To be successful in this role, you will have knowledge and experience of managing and growing fundraising partnerships, as well as experience of working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be self-motivated with strong organisational skills and an ability to set priorities, contribute to a prospect pipeline and meet deadlines.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Management

• Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate partnerships including strategic partnerships, commercial partnerships, charity of the year and corporate donations, and support Corporate Partnership Managers with responsibilities relating to larger partnerships.
• Deliver excellent partnership management including developing a partnership plan, meeting with stakeholders, delivery of partner benefits and account stewardship.
• Develop and deliver timely, relevant and engaging impact reporting.
• Develop new and grow existing corporate partnerships, drafting and negotiating partnership agreements, for the best outcomes across FareShare’s work and maximising the income potential.
• Maintain robust account growth plans, update pipelines and stakeholder mapping for your partners.
• Produce high quality communications, reports, propositions and pitches for partnerships - delivering excellent account management through the highest levels of supporter centred stewardship.
• Ensure we maximise the skills and experience of corporate partners through pro-bono, value-in-kind and volunteering support.

New Business

• Proactively approaching corporate opportunities following our new business strategy, writing funding proposals and approaching community groups for new partnerships
• Responding to volunteer enquiries from companies who want to work with FareShare and converting enquiries to new business leads when viable
• Contribute to the fundraising team new business pipeline
• Maintaining accurate cultivation plans and reporting for new business approaches
• Working with the FareShare food, volunteering and marketing teams to identify new fundraising opportunities 

Communication and Administration

• Develop PR and communication plans for corporate partners, working in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team.
• Manage the general administration and accurate data management for your partners.
• Support annual budgeting and planning in line with the fundraising team’s strategic objectives. Report on any variances of income against budget and undertake contingency planning to minimise risk.
• Where necessary, work with the wider teams at FareShare and with our regional centre partners to deliver greater partner impact.
• Contribute to the wider success of the fundraising team through supporting colleagues, celebrating successes and sharing learnings.
• Efficient and effective management of income ensuring compliance with GDPR, charity regulation and FareShare’s own Ethical Gift Policy
• With support from colleagues manage all legal and financial aspects of partnership agreements

Job Title: Head of Employer Partnerships 

Reports to: Deputy CEO (but the role will also work in close collaboration with both the CEO and the Director of Programmes).

Location: Open to national flexibility on location. May occasionally need to attend our London office - Quantum House, 22 – 24 Red Lion Court, Fleet Street, EC4A 3AB.

Purpose: This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic professional to take the lead role in engaging employers, corporate funders, and professional networks and securing funded partnerships with them. This will provide essential income for the charity’s work with schools. It will also help the recruitment of skilled, diverse volunteers to support delivery of the charity’s innovative programmes for children and young people.

The postholder will work closely with our established employer networks and develop new networks; give leadership to a small team currently managing our partnerships and business development; and work collaboratively with an involved senior leadership team and further supportive colleagues right across the charity to achieve our aims.

Remuneration: £36k - £41k - depending upon experience. Pro rata depending on agreed full time equivalent hours of appointment (see below)

Key Accountabilities:

Identifying and securing new employer partnerships:

• Lead on identifying different opportunities to generate income growth for our charity, including ‘charity of the year’ partnerships and developing and promoting a range of attractive strategic opportunities for corporates/ employers looking to sponsor and fund our charity;
• Researching and developing a prospect pipeline, including spending time generating new leads and meeting clients, to support the development of new corporate partners and ensure that CRM information is continuously updated;
• From this pipeline, identify, contact, and pitch to prospective partners about the benefits to them of supporting the charity. Prepare and deliver compelling and evidence-based pitches and presentations including developing assets and proposals, reporting, credentials, and pitch decks to support income generation from employer partnerships;
• Generate awareness and visibility of the Education and Employers’ partnership proposition – e.g. delivering a regular series of virtual and face to face sessions to engage with new organisations and sell the benefits of Education and Employers corporate funded partnerships;
• Ensure these briefing sessions are supported by valued current partners who can outline the benefits they themselves have seen organisationally and at an individual employee level leading to the establishment of new partnerships and income from employers;
• Developing an advocates/trusted partner approach by ensuring we equip our trustees, staff, and close partners with organisational assets to share across their wider connections;
• To explore and engage with Social Value/CSR networks, consultancies, and professional bodies to be their programme/charity of choice to deliver social value programmes on behalf of their clients’/ members’ behalf;
• Stay up to date with trends in charity fundraising from corporate partnerships and review how charities in the wider sector are best succeeding in this area.

Establishing, negotiating, and managing new partnerships and further developing existing employer partnerships:

• Negotiating new funding partnerships with clients that are deliverable, cost-effective, and generate money in addition to the cost of managing the partnerships;
• Persistently and professionally following up with clients at different stages of interest, in order to move forward and hopefully convert these partnership discussions into signed contracts/ commitments – i.e. moving discussions along to ‘close the deal’;
• Building strong relationships through a stewardship programme to engage with partners in a variety of ways on a regular basis, in particular with existing partners that are not currently funding partners to transition them to a funded model;
• To work closely with the current Partnerships Manager to effectively handover all successful bids to the Partnership Manager to develop project plans and delivery timelines;
• Design and develop organisational wide project implementation tools and processes to ensure end to end project management supports consistency in delivery, tracking and evidencing impact to successfully achieve strategic priorities and secure new and ongoing funding sources;
• Ensure all contact development activity is recorded on our Customer Relationship Manager system (Salesforce) so that we have clear oversight of our contact history and touchpoints with employers and networks;

Team management and working with the SMT and wider charity to develop employer partnerships:

• Supporting with seeking out new funding opportunities and writing bids that support the organisation to meet it strategic aims including regularly reviewing funding and grants websites;
• Work with colleagues across the organisation to support and create engagement opportunities for corporate partners and prospects that align with our strategic plan;
• Work closely with the Communications Manager and Director of Schools Programmes to create innovative ways to engage new corporate partners, via local networks and social media.
• Future line management of the Employer & Business Development Manager;
• To work closely and proactively with SLT, stakeholder partners and trustees to support and enhance our collective work with employers and to ensure a joined up, strategic approach;

Other

• Represent Education and Employers and the Senior Management Team at external events and conferences as appropriate;
•  Other ad hoc duties as required.

Essential

• Demonstrable experience of generating income from researching, establishing, and developing employer and/ or professional organisation partnerships;
• Demonstrable experience of being target driven and experience of meeting either demanding income or delivery KPIs and targets.
• Demonstrable experience of managing the income generation pipeline right from approaching clients, to engaging them, and finally through to contracting with them to secure inward income and deliver their agreed objectives.
• Awareness and understanding of navigating the multiple decision makers and decision-making gates in corporate organisations and professional member organisations;
• Experience of working with internal colleagues to develop achievable, realistic delivery plans for employer funders and execute them via effective programme and project management;
• Demonstrable experience of client management, including establishing initial rapport and building long term sustainable stakeholder relationships by working effectively and collaboratively with staff and partners across multiple geographical locations;

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team.  Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams.

The role

We are looking for an exceptional Major Donor Manager to play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing success and expansion of our new major donor team. Working closely with our Senior Major Donor Manager and Prospect Research Manager, this new role will lead on nurturing high-value relationships with prospective major donors who have capacity to give between £10k and £100k to FareShare, and develop and deliver a calendar of high-value cultivation events tailored to opportunities within our networks to strengthen relationships and maximise support.

As the cost of living crisis pushes millions into food insecurity, and the world is faced with a climate emergency, the difference you can make by joining the major donor team is substantial. Key responsibilities

• Build relationships with a portfolio of prospective major donors, understanding their philanthropic motivations, nurturing an affinity in FareShare, and tailoring opportunities for engagement to inspire major gifts.
• Foster a deep understanding of FareShare's work and strategy to effectively communicate, inspire and solicit funds. This includes developing relationships across the FareShare regional network and building a sound understanding of FareShare operations to support warehouse and frontline charity visits and tours.

• Prepare effective briefs for our CEO and other senior stakeholders attending major donor meetings or events.
• Work closely with the Senior Major Donor Manager and Prospect Research Manager to enrich the prospect pipeline, always seeking opportunities within our internal and external networks.

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. Duties and key responsibilities 

Leadership, Collaboration & Line Management 

• Support the Director of Operations through preparation for and reporting to governance meetings. 

• Participate actively as a member of the Leadership Team. 

• Provide leadership, direction, training, and motivation as appropriate to the UK Finance Manager, and the overseas Finance Managers in conjunction with overseas Directors. 

Finance Policy & Process Management 

• Be responsible for monitoring compliance with MAP’s financial and procurement policies and review and update these policies on a regular basis. 

• Develop and implement strong cash and treasury management policies and procedures. 

• Manage and develop all financial accounting systems in consultation with the Head of Reporting to ensure they are fit for purpose. 

• Help to ensure value for money and the effective use of funds across the organisation. 

Compliance & Regulatory Reporting 

• Manage the ongoing relationships with the external auditors. 

• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of the annual statutory accounts for the annual audit and implement recommendations from the auditors and/or Board. 

• Monitor institutional income and related contracts and ensure that all restricted income, including Zakat, is properly accounted for. 

• Ensure the financial management of MAP is compliant with relevant accounting, legal, HMRC and tax requirements, including VAT and corporation tax, and that the correct returns are made. 

• Submit the necessary returns and maintain our records with the Charity Commission and Companies House on a timely basis.

Cashflow & Bank Account Management 

• Manage the ongoing relationships with MAP’s banks in the UK. 

• Maintain UK bank accounts and ensure financial governance is in place for overseas bank accounts.

• Ensure bank mandates and online banking operations are reviewed and updated on time. 

• Monitor and manage the organisation's cash flow to ensure there are sufficient currency funds to meet operational needs. 

• Review fund and payment  requests from overseas offices and that planned activities are within budget. 

• Release all payments from UK bank accounts, including UK payroll. 

Financial Controls 

• Implement appropriate internal controls, policies, and procedures to protect against fraud and misappropriation. 

• Oversee and manage all payroll budgets and forecasts. 

• Oversee the payroll functions, ensuring adequate internal controls and approvals are in place and adhered to, and all statutory requirements are met. 

• Ensure regular reconciliations are made between the accounting system and the CRM. 

• Oversee legacy administration liaising with the Legacy Advisor. 

Risk Management 

• Risk management – manage strategic and operational financial risks working with the Head of Internal Audit & Compliance.

• Maintain insurance policies across all MAP offices to ensure appropriate and adequate risk mitigation and meet statutory requirements.

We are a multi-award-winning, creative, and innovative organisation, and the Database Officer is a role at Al-Khair Foundation, sitting within the Database team and delivering on a range of database tasks and processes utilising our Salesforce database. Your Role

Al-Khair Foundation uses Salesforce to manage relationships with our donors, supporters, and stakeholders, including recording all donations made to the organisation. Al-Khair Foundation’s Database Officer will be responsible for the monthly delivery of the income and data reconciliation processes for the Fundraising teams, which includes liaising with a wide range of external agencies and the website to successfully download and query files, update and create new supporter records on the database, process cheques and payment requests, and work closely with the Finance team to ensure all anticipated and banked income tallies correctly.

You will also work closely with colleagues in the Database team to support and maintain regular database processes, data cleansing, and other database-related functions that happen on a monthly or quarterly basis. This may include responding to and being responsible for Support Ticket queries in relation to income, data, and/or the database generally and working with external database agencies such as our web platform partners and Salesforce.

Aside from these core duties, from time to time, you may also carry out general administrative tasks on behalf of the Supporter Engagement team. The Head of Finance and Procurement will report to and work closely with the Director of Enabling Services leading the Finance Team. The key responsibilities of the Head of Finance and Procurement will be:

• Engage, build and influence relationships with internal and external stakeholders providing strategic vision, leadership and accountability. Evaluate the impact of College policy, products and services to understand stakeholder impact and contribution to the College’s agreed strategic priorities Champion the efficient use of College resources and budgets

Stella Maris is growing as a charity, in terms of income generation and new programmes of activity around the world. To help support this development, we have created this new important role. The Fundraising & Communications team at Stella Maris comprises about 12 staff members (some full time; some part time).  The team and the charity have now reached the point in their evolution where we need to appoint a Major Donor Manager. This post holder will offer excellent stewardship to our existing Major Donors. He/she will also help to identify and cultivate new potential Major Donors from within and outside our existing pool of individual donors. He/she will substantially grow the Major Donor income stream for the charity. He/she will cultivate and steward Major Donors to give in new and more impactful ways, will increase giving levels, will increase the number of Major Donors, and will create lasting and meaningful relationships with our most committed and generous supporters. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated and effective Major Donor fundraiser. The postholder will help us, as a leading maritime charity, to achieve our mission to support seafarers, fishers and their families around the world.

MAIN PURPOSE

The Major Donor Manager, reporting into the Director of Development and working with some guidance from the Head of Major Gifts, will maintain and grow a stable pipeline of income from Major Donors. He/she will secure unrestricted and restricted income from a portfolio of Major Donors to support the activities of the Stella Maris network in the UK and overseas. He/she will produce cultivation plans for individual Major Donors, meet them, craft tailored applications and reports for them.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1 Manage relationships with a portfolio of Major Donors in accordance with the Charities fundraising strategy and giving programme activity.

2 Establish individual donor cultivation, engagement and stewardship strategies, ensuring each prospect and existing donor has an appropriate communications and cultivation programme in place.

3 Ensure that donor profiling and research activity is undertaken on existing and potential Major Donors (within data protection regulation guidelines) in order to enhance and develop relations.

4 Identify potential Major Donors from within the Mid-Value Donor portfolio and help graduate them up to Major Donor giving levels.

5 Working with the Governance and Executive team, conduct meetings and visits with individual Major Donors around the UK.

6 Accompany Major Donors on port visits within the UK and possibly abroad.

7 Craft carefully tailored applications, thank you letters and reports for Major Donors.

8 Support other senior staff and stakeholders, such as Trustees, in cultivating relationships with Major Donors by providing research and other information as required, and bringing them to meetings with Major Donors when appropriate.

9 Build and cultivate relationships with intermediaries, e.g. wealth advisers, lawyers.

10 Arrange events for Major Donors.

11 Ensure that all activity is recorded accurately on the charity’s Customer Relationship Management database, and that actions are undertaken in a timely and professional manner. 

12 Extract monthly reports on activity levels with Major Donors, e.g. number of contacts, meetings, asks, etc., and circulate this internally to selected senior staff members.
