We are recruiting a Project Coordinator to oversee the delivery and development of a flagship Community Wellbeing Project, which operates in partnership with Brent Council. The project is a Community Hub hosted in a community space in Stonebridge (not in Sufra’s existing premises). Members of the project can access a Community Shop, a Community Café and Kitchen, and holistic support in the form of Advice casework and workshops. The objective of the project is to deliver food aid alongside wraparound holistic support in way that improves the financial, physical and mental wellbeing of its members, who are struggling with the cost of living.
This collaborative project has been made possible due to the support of multiple partners and has already proven highly successful. It is likely to form the basis of a new model of support for people experiencing vulnerabilities that will be replicated across Brent and possibly elsewhere in London.
The Project Coordinator will oversee the delivery of the project, ensuring both the shop and the café operate effectively and in accordance with agreed standards and procedures. The successful candidate will help shape the project in the months ahead, whilst supporting guests, collecting data, and monitoring and evaluating the project. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy and varied environment, managing multiple priorities at the same time. They will have experience in a customer-facing role, dealing with the general public and managing volunteers. It would be beneficial for the post holder to have experience supporting vulnerable people with complex needs from a wide variety of backgrounds. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for members that sign onto the pilot project, and will be representing the organisation to external partners. The purpose of the role
The People Team provide advice, guidance and support to all National Theatre staff, line managers and senior leaders on people policies; terms and conditions of employment; recruitment and selection; performance management; staff engagement; diversity and inclusion; trade union and employee relations; discipline, grievance, and capability processes; and training and career development. More about the role
Our beautiful centre opened in 1988 and occupies approximately three acres of land in a discrete location surrounded by fields where we can walk our dogs, providing some wonderful enrichment in a quiet environment. The centre has facilities to care for dogs and cats, as well as a specialised area for puppies and kittens. We also operate a pet food bank for those that might need our support within the local area.
As an Adoptions Coordinator, you will ensure the adoption process is thorough, efficient and follows internal guidelines, moving assessed pets to new homes as quickly as possible.
Working closely with Pet Welfare Assistants at the Centre and other Adoptions and Admissions Coordinators across the Rehoming and Fostering network, you will be making key decisions proactively managing our pool of homes, matching each pet with the perfect adopter, and providing post adoption support when required.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week on a rota which includes weekends and bank holidays.
At our Southampton rehoming centre, we provide onsite accommodation for pets in our care 24/7. Overnight shifts are usually undertaken by team members who live on site. Occasionally, you will be expected to carry out night checks or stay in on site accommodation overnight when the resident team members are either not working or away for a period of time. These duties are organised on a local rota and shared between all members of the team.

About you
You will be an excellent communicator and have experience of working in a client facing role in a similar, animal related environment. You will have good knowledge of pet welfare as this is required to ensure the adoption process is successful. In addition, you will be able to quickly assimilate information, be competent at accurately recording information while also conducting conversations with clients and stakeholders.
With a client focused approach, you will be able to make decisions when under pressure and possibly, at times, without input from others. You will have a problem-solving mindset which allows you to pragmatically look for solutions to issues. In addition, you need to prioritise, especially when it comes to making decisions on the adoption of pets and ensure you adopt a high attention to detail.
You will know what it is like to work in an emotionally charged environment and have excellent ‘bounce back ability’ and resilience. In addition, you will be emotionally intelligent, showing empathy and knowing how to support clients and colleagues.
Knowledge, skills, and experience
- Demonstrable understanding and experience of matching considerations for pets and homes.
- Experience working or volunteering in a pet welfare role.

What the job involves
We're seeking an IT Support Coordinator to assist our IT Business Partner in the day-to-day operations of our IT team. In this newly created role, you'll be the go-to person for staff both in our London Bridge office and remotely.
As an IT support Coordinator, you’ll be providing first and second line support assisting with troubleshooting operating systems, applications, and network issues. This will include liaising with our service providers and escalating tickets, when necessary, as well as troubleshooting laptops, re-cabling workstations, and replacing faulty docking stations. This is a part time position of 28 hours per week over 5 days (or some of these days) with the working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate.
From 1st July 2024 we are piloting a four day working week across the whole of the UK organisation. This pilot is planned to run for 12 months, at which point a decision will be made by our Board of Trustees as to whether this will become permanent. Success of the trial relies on the organisation being able to achieve the same or improved level of impact in four working days as five, with staff experiencing either the same or improved levels of wellbeing.
During the four day week pilot, working hours for this position will be reduced proportionately to 22.5 hours per week, spanning Monday to Thursday (or some of these days), with no reduction in salary. This will be a temporary change to the contractual terms with the successful candidate. The appointed person must be prepared to increase their working hours to 28 hours per week if a return to a five-day working week is decided.

Working mainly from Bristol, the Fleet Coordinator is fundamental to our operations. The right person will combine a love of vehicles, logistics and a passion for reducing food waste. FareShare South West (FSSW) is part of the national FareShare UK (FSUK) network of surplus food redistribution charities. We fight food poverty by tackling food waste. We source quality surplus food – from food retailers, manufacturers, and suppliers – engaging volunteers to redistribute to local charities and community groups that provide meals to vulnerable people (individuals who are homeless, unemployed, socially isolated, recovering from addictions, etc.). Our food is a vital lifeline for children and families, people on low incomes, people who have lost their jobs, the homeless, refugees, domestic abuse survivors, the elderly, and keyworkers.
Purpose of the role:
Our Fleet Coordinator will work with our warehouse teams and the wider FSSW team to keep the wheels turning so we can deliver much needed food to frontline organisations. They will operate across the West of England, Devon and Cornwall to support the smooth running and upkeep of our fleet of vehicles and ensure minimal disruption on our operations. This role involves coordinating the servicing, maintenance, and repairs of vehicles, administrative duties and delivering change projects to ensure the continuous improvement of our fleet management. Our small fleet currently includes 13 vans, one car, one 7.5t truck, 4 forklift trucks and multiple pump trucks, distributed between Bristol, Exeter and Plymouth. This role will be working with and alongside a diverse group of volunteers, in particular working with volunteer driving crews to provide training and support.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Fleet Coordination
- Vehicle Servicing, Maintenance and Repairs
- Liaise with external and internal contractors to arrange breakdown support, MOTs, services and repairs.
- Develop relationships with contractors to build a list of trusted companies.
- Triage and identify vehicle issues, then work with external contractors to resolve them.
- Coordinate and undertake vehicle movements between sites and garages.
- Carry out analysis of the fleet and its equipment including weekly vehicles checks and performing basic maintenance duties e.g. tyre pressures and topping up of vehicle fluids.
- Be the point of contact for external service providers such as leasing companies, insurers, fuel card companies and breakdown cover providers.
- Administrative duties
- Manage our vehicle accessories and consumables.
- Keep accurate records relating to the fleet and our drivers (repair log, vehicle checks, driving licence checks and incident forms)
- Download of tachograph data for analysis
- Manage CAZ payments.
- Administer insurance policy changes and claims involving our fleet and/or third parties.
