The Trussell Trust are seeking a Philanthropy Executive to join our high-performing Major Donor team. The Philanthropy Executive supports the work of the team with executive tasks and in managing the stewardship communications for a specific caseload tier of supporters. You will help to develop our plans for working with this tier, liaising with the Individual Giving team to manage the donor journey between mid-value and the major donor caseload. You will co-ordinate a tailored programme of stewardship communications and engagement helping to build and deepen long-term relationships and secure income. 

Role responsibilities 

• Stewarding a tier of donors to bring them closer to our work, planning and coordinating a programme of one-to-many communications, asks and appeals as well as quarterly updates (to be used across the major donor caseload), thanking donors, and helping to build understanding of the impact of their support.

• Managing the philanthropy team inbox and providing first point of contact for enquiries and colleagues, fielding them to the relevant team members. 

• Co-ordinating with the Individual Giving mid-value team to effectively manage supporter journeys. Liaising with the Supporter Care team to ensure that contact records are accurate and data protection compliant, and that gifts are coded and recorded correctly on our database. 

• Supporting the Major Donor team with executive tasks such as keeping accurate records, liaising with external suppliers, assisting with comms creation in liaison with the Marcomms teams; sourcing relevant content for donor updates; assisting with mailings and invitations to events; using Salesforce to identify and qualify prospects and performing basic desktop research; producing briefings; producing reports. 

• Attending internal meetings and gathering information to ensure our team are abreast of developments across the organisation.

We are the UK’s student mental health charity. ROLE PURPOSE

As our Executive Assistant (Maternity Cover, 0.8 FTE, Fixed term for 12 months), you will play a crucial role in developing and supporting our charity and strengthening our administration and governance. You will be providing flexible assistance primarily to our CEO, in the planning and delivery of their workload. You will also provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, Trustee Board and other structured groups which shape the charity’s strategy and activities, for example our Clinical Advisory Group.  As such, you will have the opportunity to work with the entire Student Minds team and a variety of stakeholders across the health and higher education sectors.

Key responsibilities:

Chief Executive Officer assistance

• Email and calendar management: helping to prioritise demands, responding to correspondence on behalf of the CEO and following up with contacts post-meetings.
• Arrange meetings and itineraries and coordinate travel as required.
• Stakeholder management support: utilising CRM to maintain updated databases for organisational contacts; support with the completion of contracts and registering purchase orders with suppliers,where the CEO is the lead contact.

Meeting management

• Plan and coordinate relevant meetings to ensure they are purposeful and relevant. These will include Board meetings, Senior Leadership Team Meetings, Leadership Group meetings and any other general committee meetings.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for all meetings, arranging suitable meeting premises or software, preparing and circulating agendas and meeting papers in consultation with the relevant participants (e.g. Chair of the Board, CEO and Senior Leadership Team).
• Coordinate catering requirements and liaise with the finance team to make purchases.
• Take high-quality and accurate meeting minutes and circulate them for appropriate approval and sign-off.

Governance support

• Provide administrative support where applicable to meet the charity’s requirements with
• Companies House and the Charity Commission.
• Support with Trustee recruitment, induction and training.
• Support the charity’s continuous improvement and compliance using tools such as the Governance

Senior Leadership Team coordination

• Support with coordinating multi-stakeholder meetings, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support members of the Senior Leadership Team or their guests with the use of our core systems and software (Google Workspace, Google Meet, Slack, Mural, Zoom).
• Process any travel expenses for the Senior Leadership Team.
• Manage charity records: provide historical reference by supporting procedures for the retention and disposal of records.
• Welcome guests and provide tours of facilities or support guests to use online meeting software where required.

Other duties

Role outline and purpose
The Trussell Trust are seeking a Philanthropy Executive - Trusts to join our high-performing Trusts team. The role supports the Trussell Trust by raising money from charitable trusts, focusing specifically on Tier 3 trusts (giving up to c.£10,000). You will coordinate a programme of regular stewardship communications to our current givers, fundraise from new prospects through mailings and occasional applications, provide administrative support to the wider team, and ensure that records of communications are kept up to date.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate and send mass mailings to Tier 3 charitable trusts, thanking supporters and requesting further support where appropriate

This role is responsible for providing high-level support, managing complex projects and engaging with a wide variety of people on behalf of the Chief Network Officer. This role acts as a key point of communication with internal/external contacts, coordinates cross-organisational processes and projects, and manages the office, including liaising closely with senior members of the Operations and Network Programmes directorates.

Job Description

Who are Women’s Aid?   

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. We are a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across England. For almost 50 years we have campaigned on behalf of our members and survivors to shape policy and practice, and to raise awareness of domestic abuse.    

Purpose of the Senior Communications Officer role:   

As Senior Communications Officer, the successful candidate will be a creative, agile and impactful professional, who will play a pivotal role in shaping Women’s Aid’s communications campaigns, working closely with the Communications Manager and the Head of Media, Brand and Relationships. The successful candidate will take the lead on generating creative, engaging content and ideas for Women’s Aid communications – including major campaign moments and brand awareness. Working across all external channels, including traditional media and social media, you will curate compelling stories that build our profile and target key audiences in our mission to keep women and children safe from domestic abuse. You’ll be joining us at an exciting time, as we mark our 50th Birthday with some powerful campaigns and engagement. 

Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Communications Officer: 

• To be the key communications officer representing the communications team, developing the key messaging of external campaigns, brand-building and communications for the organisation and developing public awareness of these.

• To lead on planning, drafting and implementing a communications plan for Women’s Aid key communications campaigns such as International Women’s Day, 16 Days, as well as wider organisational projects, incorporating press and social media and providing media support as required. 

• To develop relevant media and social media contacts, as well as contacts in the sector, to maximise the reach and coverage of key communications campaigns as well as wider organisational projects. 

• To work with colleagues to ensure the campaigns take an intersectional approach and centres the most marginalised voices. 

• To work with a diverse range of survivor case studies and media spokespeople, including Women’s Aid member organisations, and to ensure they are treated in an appropriate and safe manner.

• To help identify both proactive and reactive media opportunities. 

• To write blogs, news articles and promotional copy for Women’s Aid.

• To proof and typeset publications as required.

• To be part of the communications team out-of-hours on call rota for media calls.

What we are looking for in our Senior Communications Officer: 

• At least two years experience working in communications/journalism/publications or similar. 

• Experience of liaising with a variety of individuals and organisations of all seniorities, internally and externally. 

• Experience of maintaining systems for information storage and retrieval.

• Experience of online communications/websites/social media, including Content Management Systems. 

• Experience delivering public-facing campaigns with a range of stakeholders. 

• Experience in getting effective PR results. 

• Ability to produce high quality written material, for copy writing, copy editing and publicity materials, posters and press releases. 

• Capable of translating complex information into audience-friendly messages. 

• Ability to carry out a range of research and information-gathering activities. 

• IT skills, including accurate data inputting skills, ability to use Microsoft programmes, understanding of Content Management Systems and troubleshooting simple website problems,  and willingness to learn new packages and IT skills as required. 

• Ability to communicate sensitively with survivors of domestic violence to discuss case studies. 

• Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise work, work to tight deadlines and respond to urgent unplanned demands. 

• An understanding of public affairs and the role that campaigning plays.

Role purpose:

The Partnerships & Income Operations Manager plays a multifaceted role encompassing driving pipeline prospecting efforts, managing certain impact reporting initiatives, and nurturing corporate partnerships. This pivotal role serves as a primary point of contact for coordinating various aspects of partnership development, impact reporting, and fundraising activities.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities:

 Corporate Partnerships:

· Lead a portfolio of lower to mid-value corporate donors, cultivating relationships and maximising engagement aligned with organisational objectives.

· Balance support between existing partnership management and developing new business opportunities, including mid to higher value partnerships.

 Pipeline Prospecting:

· Lead the identification and cultivation of prospective corporate donors, both new and potential.

· Utilise relationship management expertise and networking acumen to proactively identify opportunities for engagement in alignment with our balanced scorecard objectives.

· Act as a primary point of contact for inbound and outbound leads, collaborating with the Communications Team on outreach campaigns to drive lead generation and partnership engagement.

· Ensure a seamless experience for prospects entering the organisation, guiding them through the employer customer journey.

· Support the engagement of targeted employers in key sectors and regions, collaborating with income generation colleagues to develop mid to higher value prospects.

· Support the development of bids and pitches, connecting colleagues into their contributions across those efforts.

Engagement Tracking:

· Develop and maintain an Excel document to meticulously track engagement levels and interaction points with stakeholders.

· Coordinate the launch and delivery of quarterly board breakfasts, led by our board members; Manage logistics and invitations for board breakfasts to ensure successful networking opportunities.

· Facilitate a minimum of 10 executive meetings from our existing corporate partner portfolio per quarter with our CEO

· Coordinate the launch and delivery of quarterly sector-specific breakfasts to engage key individuals from existing partners; Coordinate with hosting partners and relevant attendees to ensure successful networking events.

Impact Reporting:

 · Coordinate, own, and update the employer impact reporting calendar for Partnerships and Income, ensuring proactive management of reporting deadlines and deliverables.

· Serve as the templated annual review impact report document owner, ensuring colleagues are familiar with its usage and providing necessary guidance.

· Maintain and update the fundraising FAQs document, acting as the point of contact for the team regarding any new questions and ensuring incorporation of new queries into the document.

Additional Duties:

· Collaborate with colleagues to gather necessary information for impact reporting and fundraising FAQs, coordinating with experts as needed.

· Assist in the development and updating of key information packs and documents related to impact reporting and fundraising.

The Director of Operations will work as part of the management team to develop and implement the organisation’s strategy and operational plans and to build the longer term sustainability of the organisation. They will be required to deputise for the Chief Officer in their absence and assist in the overall management of the organisation. As part of the management team the role demands a high level of flexibility, initiative and commitment. The role also involves working with the Chief Officer to design and improve our monitoring, evaluation and learning across the organisation in line with our new strategy.

The Director of Operations will have lead responsibility for overseeing the day to day operations and coordinating external partnerships and relationships. Operational oversight includes the two core pillars of work:-

1. Streams of Sanctuary programmes and awards (by streams we mean mainstream sector e.g. schools)
2. Coordination and development of network of refugee supporting groups
