MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

The core purpose of the Policy and Advocacy Department is to increase the IRC’s influence and profile, developing the IRC as a thought leader in Europe that can drive transformational change in the humanitarian sector. We aim to drive policy change to improve outcomes for people living in, and displaced by, conflict and crisis.
The Purpose of the Role
The Advocacy Officer will be responsible for building IRC’s profile and influence with the UK Government advisers, Parliament and other relevant influencers to help improve outcomes for those affected by conflict and crisis. Working closely with relevant IRC staff in Europe and elsewhere, this post will help to develop and implement advocacy strategies that bring about real change.
Scope and Authority
Authority:
- Represent the IRC at external advocacy meetings, events, forums and in coalitions.
- Manage Advocacy interns as appropriate.
Key Working Relationships
- Report to the Head of Advocacy - Europe.
- Work together with Policy, Advocacy and Technical Unit colleagues in Europe and elsewhere to help develop advocacy strategies, with clear and succinct advocacy messages and products, from more complex policy and technical documents.

Role purpose
The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) and Policy Officer will support the MEL Adviser and the Policy and Learning Manager to make a key contribution to the quality of our grants management, country programmes, policy and external engagement work.
The post-holder will support the design of new programmes as well as provide technical advice and input to the monitoring, evaluation and learning of existing programmes. The Adviser will also play a crucial role in ensuring that our external communications and policy work (at all levels) are informed by and accurately represent our evidence base.

International Health Partners (IHP) is a global health charity coordinating the safe and responsible donation of medicines and health supplies to people around the world who lack access. We work with a range of corporate partners to support long-term healthcare programmes, equip doctors and other healthcare professionals for short-term medical trips and to respond rapidly to humanitarian disasters.
We are seeking a Corporate Partnerships Officer who will be responsible for the coordination and administration of the donations process and support the day to day management of relationships with our corporate donors. This will include liaising with donors on products needed to support our programmes; maintaining internal systems; and due diligence processes. The Corporate Partnerships Officer plays a key role in delivering IHP’s effective product donation programme delivering high-quality healthcare products to those in vulnerable and disaster-hit communities so that people don’t suffer needlessly from treatable illnesses.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, has an excellent eye for detail, and wants to learn and contribute to a great team. We can offer you a rewarding and varied role, with lots of training and support, in our small but busy team in London.Last year we were able to send over 4 million treatments to places like Yemen, South Sudan, Palestine and Guatemala, where easily treatable diseases can mean chronic pain, poor quality of life or even a death sentence.
