Deliverables
Provide first-class supporter care to Animal Free Research UK’s supporters
• Be the first point of contact for supporter enquiries and comments across all communications channels, including social media, and provide an exceptional supporter care service
• Ensure that all supporter communications are responded to, and gifts are thanked, within agreed internal service level agreements and according to policies and procedures
• Draft and maintain a suite of approved on-brand standard supporter care responses
• Maintain an up-to-date library of standard operating procedures for supporter care processes
Efficiently and effectively maintain the donor database
• Ensure a complete, accurate, and timely record of all donor, supporter and advocate communication and gift activity in the donor and advocacy CRM databases
• Liaise with the Finance team to ensure gifts are appropriately coded and any issues related to gifts are promptly addressed
• Process cheque, card, cash and CAF donations received through offline channels
• Ensure Gift Aid is claimed and validated against Gift Aid declarations
• Proactively ensure the integrity of the CRM is maintained to a suitably high standard
• Work with colleagues to understand their requirements and perform the selection and segmentation of data for appeals, communications and reporting

Purpose of Job:
The postholder plays a key role in managing the alumni network, with a specific emphasis on events and volunteer management, to actively engage alumni and stakeholders with Queen Mary’s Grammar School. A medium sized health education charity is seeking a Finance Officer on a full-time, permanent basis.
The organisation is an established charity that provides information and guidance on various aspects of veganism. Services range from general advice on vegan lifestyle – diet, travel, shopping etc, campaigning activities, additional services to charity members, and the certification and labelling of products based on their internationally recognised Vegan Trademark.
The organisation has around 65 staff with a turnover of around £4 million annually. Their central offices are in Birmingham, however this role can be taken on almost exclusively remotely – it is anticipated that there will be approximately 6 journeys per year required either to the Birmingham office or another mutually agreeable location – for staff events and meetings.
The role sits within a small finance team of 3, and will be highly varied covering most aspects of transactional finance. The starting salary is between £29,413 - £31,508, however they have regular salary reviews and growth in the role is possible. They also have an excellent benefits package including a pension scheme, employee assistance programme, 28 days leave + bank holidays, plus additional leave available as part of a sustainable transportation climate perks policy.
The ideal candidate will be AAT part-qualified with experience in a similar Finance Officer level role. Exposure to double-entry bookkeeping and an understanding of charity finance would be an advantage. Experience with Sage accounting is also useful. This exciting role would mean joining Refugee Action at a crucial point in the charity’s 40-year history, full of opportunity and potential. You will use your creative skills to support the creation of innovative digital content to engage and mobilise existing supporters and add to Refugee Action’s rapidly growing audience. Working between the fundraising and campaigns team, this role will support the Digital Communications Manager to deliver our ambitious digital strategy, focusing on the development of engaging digital content, the management of one of our key supporter databases, and will lead on the engagement and retention work which supports Refugee Action’s fundraising and campaigning.
We are looking for candidates that can demonstrate:

The Trussell Trust are seeking a Philanthropy Executive - Trusts to join our high-performing Trusts team. The role supports the Trussell Trust by raising money from charitable trusts, focusing specifically on Tier 3 trusts (giving up to c.£10,000).
