We are now seeking an experienced Research Partnerships Manager to play a key role in driving forward our research strategy through effective collaboration with external research partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships that advance our work across the department. 

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Identify, build and maintain partnerships which will push progress for our research strategy;

Strategic Planning: 

· Develop a strategic approach to research partnerships, identifying the purpose and benefit for collaboration. 

· Contribute to the development of strategic plans by providing insights on potential partnerships that align. 

· Monitor industry trends and identify emerging opportunities for collaboration. 

Partnership Development: 

· Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with stakeholders aligned with organisational goals. Develop background intelligence on potential partners. 

· Collaborate with the Research, Policy and Communications teams to understand organisational priorities and develop partnership opportunities. 

Relationship Management: 

· Support building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential partners. Support the Leadership Team to maintain a network of partners. 

· Coordinate partnership activities to ensure internal alignment. 

Proposal Development: 

· Lead the development of partnership proposals, agreements, and contracts in collaboration with legal, finance, and research teams.

Performance Monitoring: 

· Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of strategic partnerships. 

· Regularly report on partnership outcomes to leadership. 

Interactions between Research and other ARUK Teams 

· Take part in working groups related to the wider priorities of ARUK. 

· Work closely with other teams to ensure that relevant research partnerships with other organisations are well-managed and communicated.

· First Degree (or equivalent) in relevant biomedical science.

· Proven experience in strategic partnership development and management, preferably in the healthcare, research, or charity sector.

Additional Information:

The Peer Support In-Reach Service is a partnership between several local Minds. Peer Support Workers and Senior Peer Support Workers, who have direct lived experience of mental health issues, are working on in-patient wards in Croydon, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Wandsworth to provide recovery-focused peer support to people as they leave hospital and journey towards being settled in the community and living independently.

South East London Mind have a vacancy for a part-time Senior Peer Support Worker to join the team in Lewisham and line manage a Peer Support Worker.

The successful candidate will have personal lived experience of mental health problems, as well as experience of managing staff or volunteers. You will need to be able to travel around the local area to meet your clients in the community and work in hospitals.

You will use your lived experience to help people build skills to develop independence, connect with family and friends, pursue social or vocational interests, get more involved in their local community and stay healthy and mentally well. Your support will be person-centred and may include mentoring, coaching, facilitating access to community activities and providing practical and emotional support. You will meet people before they leave the ward and work with them to develop their own support plan, empowering them as they transition back into the community.

Join Dementia UK as a Gift Processing Officer helping to establish an excellent level of financial processing that will underpin the growth in fundraising activity across a range of income streams.

Working within the supporter care team you will be responsible for processing a high volume of donations. You will ensure that that all processing is accurate and timely in order to provide an excellent supporter experience for all Dementia UK donors & supporters. Reporting to the Supporter Care Manager, the Gift Processing Officer will handle post, cheques, cash and charity vouchers, working carefully with our database to record income and thank all supporters who give to Dementia UK.

The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in database management, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and strong numeracy skills. You will have high computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. You will also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and adapt to changing demands in a busy environment.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Policy Advisors to join our dynamic and well-respected Policy and Public Affairs Team.

We want to ensure people affected by dementia benefit from progress in research, by providing evidence and insights to influence decision-makers. This ranges from making the case to increase investment in dementia research, making the case for earlier, more accurate diagnosis of the diseases that cause dementia, through to preparing health systems and to be ready for future dementia treatments.

We work closely with key stakeholders, including government and other decision makers, to shape policy on dementia prevention, research, and access to future treatments.

At a historic time in the field, with the first drugs that tackle Alzheimer’s becoming available, this is a fantastic opportunity for the post-holder to develop specialist knowledge, working closely with the Policy Manager, and to contribute to significant projects that can change the future of dementia.

We are offering two permanent, full-time positions with a focus on; early and accurate diagnosis and clinical engagement and health systems.

Each role will require weekly attendance at our offices on Granta Park near Cambridge, with occasional travel to meetings and events in London and other locations.

 

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

· Develop and maintain up to date and detailed knowledge of the policy landscape for a given policy area to position Alzheimer’s Research UK as a thought leader and enable us to effect positive change.

· Use public and patient involvement approaches to support insight development as appropriate.

· Analyse, interpret and present data using both quantitative and qualitative techniques as appropriate.

· Contribute to a range of submissions to government departments and their agencies, parliamentary committees, and other UK and international organisations as appropriate.

· Help develop and roll-out influencing and project ideas with key audiences that deliver against Alzheimer’s Research UK’s policy objectives.

· Support the work of Public Affairs colleagues to strengthen existing and emerging relationships with political and other parliamentary stakeholders. This will include helping to draft parliamentary questions, promoting tweets, sharing insight across and beyond the team.

Undertake any other relevant duties and projects delegated by the Policy Manager in line with the responsibilities of the post.

Age UK Kensington & Chelsea offers dementia services which make a real difference to residents affected by the condition living in the Borough. Those services include advice, practical help, befriending, social activities and emotional support. The Dementia Support Worker is responsible for managing a caseload of individual clients, providing practical and emotional support to the most isolated and vulnerable in our community. The support takes the form of weekly or bi-weekly visits to the client’s home, as well as contact by phone and email and liaising with social care and health professionals as directed by the client’s wishes or needs.

This role requires the worker to work independently and manage their own caseload. With other members of the Dementia Services team, the Dementia Support Worker will also help with transport, group activities, trips, events, training and local forums.

We are seeking a Part Time Dementia Support Worker (up to 21 hours per week)

Dementia Wellbeing Worker 

Age UK Camden Dementia Wellbeing Service is looking to recruit a Dementia Wellbeing Worker to join their team working 35 hours per week on a permanent basis. 

The Dementia Wellbeing Service is part of our specialist dementia services and works closely with the Dementia Befriending Service.

The service supports Camden residents over the age of 55 in the early or moderate stages of dementia, to live independently and safely at home for as long as possible, stay socially engaged and carry on doing what they love.  

The successful candidate will: 

• Offer a holistic and person-centered assessment for people living with mild cognitive impairment or Dementia to ensure meaningful interventions.

• Manage a case load of clients, providing practical and emotional support to the most isolated and vulnerable in our community.

• Provide information, advice and support to carers (family/friends), health/social care professionals and other voluntary organisations and to disseminate knowledge and best practice so that individuals living with cognitive impairment in relation to dementia or undiagnosed dementia have the best care possible.  
   

• Maintain accurate and appropriate records via Charity Log database and in accordance with UKGDPR. 

Salary: £33,525.36 to £34,743.24 pa incl. London Weighting.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

About The Role

This is an exciting new role in our growing Fundraising Marketing Team. As Alzheimer’s Society is a growing charity with ambitious goals, we are looking for someone who is passionate about data insight and creating impactful supporter journeys
 
As the successful candidate, you will be the driving force behind planning supporter journeys across the Income and Engagement directorate. You will help identify the next best ask for supporters interested Events, Legacies, Cause, Prize, and more. You will write data informed retention strategies and work with the relevant stakeholders to see these plans come to life.
 
You will also work closely with the Fundraising Marketing Team to shape and influence wider marketing activity. This is a diverse role with the opportunity to work across a number of marketing channels both online and offline.

About you

The successful candidate will be passionate about outstanding supporter experiences and maximising income opportunities, you have a good understanding of direct marketing and digital marketing channels.
 
You will also ideally be:

- Data driven and detail orientated 
- An expert in fundraising and marketing techniques
- Able to communicate complex ideas in an accessible manner
- A natural communicator and able to work with a number of stakeholders across a large and complicated organisation
- Adept at working with some ambiguity as we implement new opportunities
- Motivated by a test and learn strategy
- Able develop new ways of working and consider all aspects of campaign management
- Have a creative flare and passion for delivering the best possible supporter experience
