The Richmond & Hounslow Methodist Circuit is looking for a reliable and committed individual to support the life and work of our group of churches in SW London. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper organisation and management of our finances to enable our mission.

This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. It is specifically expected that the role will allow for flexible scheduling to accommodate other responsibilities, including caring.
The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. To fulfil this mission, the Circuit fosters a broad spectrum of ministry within its congregations, focusing on worship but also engaging in outreach to the homeless, asylum seekers, new parents, and various other groups. Job Purpose
The Communications Manager will play a leading role in driving Career Ready’s communications activity, working alongside the Head of Communications and colleagues across the charity.

Role Responsibilities
Stakeholder communications
· Work with the Head of Communications and other internal stakeholders to author and distribute stakeholder communications via relevant channels to support partnership and programme delivery.
· Deliver key colleague communications, including weekly and monthly staff bulletins, and surveys, aligning it to the strategic purpose of the charity and ensuring effective knowledge sharing and staff engagement.
· Support with the delivery of stakeholder marketing campaigns across a range of audiences.
Content and resource production
· Develop and implement a social media content strategy, including day-to-day channel management.
· Support with the writing, editing, and collation of written content, including case studies, blog content, and news articles.

Essential skills and experience:
· Demonstrable experience of working in an internal, fast-paced communications-based role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our fledgling Fundraising Team and develop a trust fundraising programme from the ground up. We are looking for someone with experience in raising funds from trusts and foundations, who is an excellent communicator - spoken and written – and who can undertake research to effectively identify appropriate prospects. You will help to develop our case for support and develop a suite of proposals and reports that will convey to funders what Parentkind does, what the parents and schools we work with want, and how we support them. The Opportunity
This role sits within our Evaluation unit in our Impact Partnerships team, who work with education organisations such as charities, universities and education technology companies (our ‘impact partners’). Our work focuses on helping these organisations to design and deliver evaluations, and to build their capacity for impact evaluation.
We are looking for a candidate who can support the team internally with a variety of delivery and administrative processes, working directly with our schools and partners to support their evaluation journey. This will include supporting new schools through their onboarding and data collection processes and monitoring their usage of our digital platform, the School Impact Platform. You will also be responsible for liaising with schools to schedule focus groups with teachers and pupils and organise these events accordingly, and supporting colleagues with facilitating data collection and analysis, which will include reporting processes and creating surveys which form part of our evaluation work with schools.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to apply for our new professional development pathway, launching this summer. On this two-year scheme, a small cohort will rotate between our practices, gaining wider experience within strategy, evaluation and operational development within the education and social enterprise space.
About You

- Ability to speak and write in both English and Welsh
- Translation experience or relevant qualification with the ability to translate from English to Welsh and vice versa
- Administration and marketing experience
- Excellent computer literacy skills – in using Microsoft applications such as MS Word, Access, Excel and Outlook, MS SharePoint and Teams and Zoom. Experience in using a Customer Relationship Manager (CRM), and updating websites and social media sites would be an advantage
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task
- To promote and maintain a professional image in line with organisational policy, with a professional telephone manner, excellent written and verbal communication skills and a flexible attitude that can adapt to the varying requirements of a dynamic and busy office. Discretion and confidentiality in handling personal details is also essential.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Willingness to undertake a variety of different tasks.

- Good problem solving skills
- Good keyboard speed
- Experience with design and marketing using various programmes such as
- Canva Capcut/Kapwing and buffer.
- Good knowledge of promotion on social media platforms
