The role
You will be supporting the Finance Team for CIPD and a key player tasked with producing accurate financial data to enable effective decision-making across the business.
What you’ll be doing
- Using accounting system to process and manage financial transactions related to CIPD UK and CIPD Enterprises and potentially other entities within the group. Posting transactions and month end journals in NetSuite including prepayments, accruals and revenue deferrals.
- Day to day accounting activities include managing transactions in the ledger, ensuring coding is accurate and adjusting miscoding before the month end to minimise time it takes to close the month.
- Working with others in the finance team and in teams across the business to ensure month end reporting is accurate, on time and all appropriate journals are supported.
- Completing revenue reconciliations between Netsuite and other source systems to ensure deferred and accrued income is accurate. Working with the systems accountant and financial accountant where necessary to complete this.
- Reconciliation of the Purchase Order System and goods receiving. Working with areas around the business to ensure accurate transaction recording.
- Production of the management accounts.
- Preparing supporting documentation for the year-end audit and liaising with external auditors.
- Providing support to Finance Business Partners within operational finance and operational queries from wider commercial business.

What you’ll need to be successful
- Accounting experience in a similar role, with a focus on ERPs such as Oracle (NetSuite), SAP, Microsoft
- Part-qualified accountant preferred (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (sumifs, pivot tables, vlookups) and experience of working with accounts systems

CPRE’s Volunteering Development Officer provides excellent advice on best practice in volunteer engagement so we ensure people from all walks of life can volunteer with us. You’ll work with the network of 40 county-based charities and with our national CPRE to expand how we campaign for the countryside through volunteering.
You’ll be working part-time (three days a week) in our Volunteering & Participation team, with the Volunteering and Participation Manager and Volunteering Development Assistant. You’ll also work closely with our Director of Communities and Participation and the Network Engagement team, who are part of the wider Communities and Participation Directorate.
This varied role helps to deliver CPRE’s volunteering strategy, to find a way in for everyone to care for the countryside. You’ll be supporting volunteer coordinators, trustees and others to identify priority volunteer vacancies and assist in driving the recruitment of a diverse range of new volunteers.
You’ll encourage peer to peer networking with Volunteer Coordinators, welcoming new volunteer coordinators into the group and hosting network meetings. Working closely with the Volunteering Development Assistant you’ll be key to the delivery of both our national online volunteer induction programme and our national volunteer awards programme. These initiatives aim to give volunteers a warm welcome to the charity, and recognise and celebrate volunteer achievement.
You’ll receive training to use our volunteer management system Assemble and you’ll support others to make the best use of the system. You’ll be adept at collaborative working, and you’ll be supportive of increasing the diversity of people who volunteer for CPRE. Part 1: Job Profile
a) Main purpose of job
This role will work with the Medical Director, Consultants, Clinical Fellows, the Nurse Consultant and the SPACE and Community Team providing a medical secretary role and organising and administering the SPAN network meetings. They will manage the Referrals Co-ordinator.
Due to the nature of this role, it will be office based. Any working from home will be under exceptional circumstances only and by arrangement with the line manager.
Part 2: Main duties and key responsibilities
a) Use headings from the scope
Providing administrative assistance to all members of the Space service and Community Team.
Drawing up induction plans for new starters.
Arrange, attend and contribute to relevant team meetings, which may include travel across sites.
Take and transcribe minutes and assist in the preparation of presentations.
Assure data collection and activity recording is completed. Produce statistical reports on a routine and an ad hoc basis.
Updating child and family electronic records as required.
Lead on the auditing and service evaluation process for your teams
Formatting and circulating symptom management plans, emergency care plans, ambulance directives and letters to families and professionals.
Acting as the communication point between SSCH and RMH or other contracted provider in relation to appointments for and referrals to the Medical Director
Support your teams in collating user and professional feedback.
Undertake diary management for the teams
Take calls from families and navigate responsive contact from the clinical team
Understand and follow referral and discharge pathways for your teams
Ensure and support the generation of correspondence following clinics, visits and discharges.

The post holder will work in the UK/England part of the Policy and Affairs Team focussed on influencing the Westminster Government. The role involves a variety of responsibilities including assisting the team with parliamentary monitoring, policy analysis, organising meetings and events including with parliamentarians. About the Role
As a key member of the Strategy and Impact Directorate, you will establish and lead one of our strategic programmes and focus on building key relationships, developing a portfolio of projects and helping us achieve our strategic ambitions.

We are looking for a Head of Strategic Communications to work with senior leadership to translate organisational strategy and objectives into a clear and consistent narrative, underpinned by a rolling, integrated communications plan, to support the growth of our brand, income and impact, primarily by leveraging our earned and owned channels.
About this role:
As Head of Strategic Communications, you’ll:
- Lead the Communications and Digital Directorates planning processes to ensure the team is telling a coherent story and has the right processes systems and resources in place, to focus our messaging by working collaboratively with the team and directorates stakeholders.
- Launch a framework for a rolling annual communications plan for 2024/2025 that can drive growth in brand, income and impact through collaborative working.

The Middlesbrough Programme on Gendered Poverty is an exciting collaborative programme bringing together Buttle UK, the Smallwood Trust and Turn2us to test whether a co-produced & collaborative approach to grant-making can transform the lives of women and their children.
The programme aims to:
- Shift power to people worst impacted by gendered poverty and work to end gendered poverty
- Develop the programme using co-production techniques so that the voices and experiences of the women and their children, who face issues created by gendered poverty, inform and shape the programme

Job Purpose
- To be the lead accountant within the finance function supporting our corporate activities, including HR, Comms, Finance and Property & Operations

Remit
Finance Business Partnering support for HR, Comms & Finance
