NHS Providers’ Development programmes team delivered a range of training and development activities for NHS boards and foundation trust governors. The team delivers over 200 events annually. We are looking for a senior development programmes coordinator to take responsibility for the efficient coordination of this work, elements of which are delivered virtually, in-person or hybrid.
In addition, the postholder will have responsibility for the effective line management to some of the team’s programme administrators/assistants.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a busy, high-performing team working across two of NHS Providers’ successful programmes – GovernWell and the Board Development Programme. The individual should have excellent programme coordination skills, the ability to work effectively across multiple projects will be critical to success. Our Volunteer Leaders:

Your first 6 months in role:
- Help to identify the tasks where volunteers could help the team. Work with the team to understand the roles.

- Identify the skills and role for a Lead Volunteer and help to recruit, train and embed a Lead Volunteer(s) within the team.

Key accountabilities:
- Provide support to the Asset Management Team in the recruitment and selection of Volunteers.

- Co-ordination of training for volunteers to maintain and improve skills levels necessary to carry out works with Asset Management.
- Promotion of a strong safety culture to ensure all works are completed with safety as a priority thereby ensuring the wellbeing of staff, volunteers and customers.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills
It is essential that our new team members can settle in and enjoy the varied work we perform, so you really must love physical outdoor work all year around, and have a genuine appreciation for respecting the needs of nature, environment and our millions of waterway visitors. Our waterways are not just for short visits by day users or holidaymakers, thousands of community members live on our boats all year and you will be playing a role in caring for their home, their space.
It is also essential that you are comfortable dealing with the public, and can respond to the unexpected with thought, care, respect and a positive practical approach. Knowledge of the Trust’s volunteer management system and process is preferable.
You might have practical skills and many years of working experience to offer, or you may just be starting out in your career and looking for a role which calls on your practical nature. You don't need to be an expert in any field, but you will be able to demonstrate that you hold the values and behaviours that ensure our customers and visitors know we care.
Technical:
- NVQ Level 3 or BTEC Level 3 in an appropriate subject or equivalent previous experience, desirable.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Proven experience of working with and leading volunteers.
- Proven experience of delivering works to time, specification and budget.
- Some experience in customer service.
- Basic IT skills - comfortable with modern handheld mobile devices for making calls, inputting information, and use of mobile applications etc.

Habitat for Humanity Great Britain (Habitat GB) is part of the global Habitat for Humanity Federation fighting global poverty and homelessness. We believe that a decent home helps to permanently break the cycle of poverty and allows families to achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance.
Purpose of The role
To support Habitat for Humanity GB’s (HFHGB) vision of a decent home for everyone, the Director of Development is accountable for leading the development, implementation and performance monitoring of our partnerships, resource mobilisation, communication, and engagement strategies. The Director of Development is also responsible for leading a high performing team to deliver those strategies, and working collaboratively across HFHGB, the international Habitat network (HFHI), and with external partners.
Key responsibilities include the development of Habitat for Humanity’s positioning, fundraising, engagement and strategic partnerships with individuals, trusts, foundations, and corporates, including funds that are blended with institutional and investment income. Strategies will be delivered in a way that is sustainable and high impact, always aligned with our strategy and Habitat for Humanity’s mission. Externally the role develops the profile and positioning of HFHGB as a creative impact partner in development, bringing in new relationships as well as maintaining existing. Development requires creative idea generation and strong collaboration with the wider HFH network as well as partners in the UK.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Development works to ensure the impact, sustainability, diligence and productivity of the organisation, including engaging in organisational transformation, within the framework of a robust people and culture approach.
Main Responsibilities
1.Strategic development and leadership:
· Design, deliver and evaluate/adapt the partnerships and fundraising strategy, setting ambitious and achievable targets to increase impact, through growing income, mobilising other resources and increasing engagement for HFHGB.
· Design and deliver an impactful, opportunistic and responsive brand and communication extension strategy designed to grow the profile of HFHGB with key target audiences.
· Lead fundraising and partnership development across the organisation, leveraging the skills, networks and assets we have from across HFHGB and the Habitat Network to support our strategic goals.
· Maintain awareness of the relevant trends to inform organisational and team strategic planning. Create and maintain a learning culture which identifies opportunities to innovate and adapt.
· Engage with HFHI and the wider sector to inspire, innovate and influence the development of HFHGB partnerships and pro grammes, e.g. learning from other countries, joint approaches to multi-national and multi-stakeholder partnerships.
· Design, deliver and evaluate/adapt the communications and engagement strategy, focussing on activities which will enable HFHGB to deliver it’s strategy through impactful communication, increased brand, visibility, and cross-audience engagement.
2. Income and budget management, reporting and monitoring:
· Set quality standards and meaningful KPIs to encourage ownership and accountability within your team, and effectively monitor progress towards agreed targets.
· Work with the Director of Impact to oversee the active management of the prospect pipeline for the organisation, ensuring it is robust, strategically aligned, has a good spread across different income sources, and allows us to bring in the level and type of funding required.
· Be accountable for fundraising targets against agreed budgets, maintaining an excellent understanding of income (committed or expected).

- To design and implement a suite of training programmes and professional learning networks for FLOURISH young leaders in education settings (primary, secondary and FE), who will be equipped to play a core leadership role in the outworking of the FLOURISH network of worshipping communities in schools/FE colleges

Purpose of the role:
To support the Development and Fundraising function of the Trust, developing long term relationships and maximising income. The Head of Development will work alongside the Development Director and other staff to implement our Development Strategy, increasing income from Trusts and Foundations, Major Donors and Individual Givers and other sources.
Key responsibilities:
Relationship Development
· Nurture and develop relationships with existing donors, contributing to the collection of monitoring information ensuring continued support and engagement.
· To manage a portfolio of current and potential supporters to maintain, grow and/or revive their support for the Fellowship, implementing strategies for donor cultivation and stewardship.
Funding and partnership proposals
· To use research tools to identify and research Individual, Trust and Major Donor opportunities.
· To oversee the management of grant and trust income programme, ensuring production of effective, high quality proposals.
· To contribute to the achievement of the Fellowship’s target to raise both unrestricted and restricted funding.
· To maintain up-to-date information on the status of funding applications and grant management in Salesforce – our customer relationship management database.
Systems and processes
· To manage the development and implementation of systems and processes to record the development and engagement pipeline, ensuring that all key information is recorded consistently.
· Work with the finance team to ensure income regular income reconciliation and forecasting.
Other
· To line manage a Development Officer.
· To support the Churchill Fellowship’s internal due diligence approval processes.
· To provide cover to colleagues in their absence.

The Salvation Army is looking for a practising Christian to join our Research & Development team (R&D) as a Development Manager bringing a mix of project management, relationship management and facilitation skills.
This is a permanent contract in a varied and challenging role.
Development projects support the development of church and community work. These often focus on the early stages of capital projects which provide mission and activity spaces, these in turn enable programmes that transform lives.
- Our Development Managers guide our customers through the work up of projects from concept to full proposals, before they are handed over to our Property team to implement.
- R&D act as both an advocate and a critical friend to develop robust, sustainable, funded project proposals to present to our internal boards.
- The team work on projects for internal customers including local church & community centres, Homelessness Services, and Older People’s Services.
- The role involves project management within our processes, facilitation of small groups, relationship and stakeholder management, coupled with leading others in processes of spiritual discernment.
The primary focus of this role will be projects in London, the South East and East of England noting the portfolio of projects covers the UK and Ireland.
