Full time at 35 hours, Office Based, London, UK

Salary: £42,000 - £52,000

Permanent

GamCare is the UK’s leading provider of advice and support to problem gamblers and their loved ones. It’s flagship Youth Outreach Programme “BigDeal” is expanding, and a new support service for young people will be launched in April 2020. The programme is designed to deliver education to young people on safe gambling choices over the next four years.

GamCare seeks a Senior Programme Manager to oversee the expansion of the programme as well as its continued success across the UK.

The SPM will continue to strategically develop the Programme to ensure that impact is maximised, the programme is championed, both internally and externally, and that all aspects work effectively together and alongside GamCare’s other services, programmes and operations.  The post holder will seek out innovative development opportunities and use their significant networking skills to ensure the continued success of the programme.

The postholder will be a dynamic, self-motivated, experienced programme manager with excellent communication and planning skills. They will need to be able to engage and work with a wide range of staff and stakeholders, and be a strong champion of activities in a quickly changing landscape.

GamCare’s central London office is a friendly, collaborative and energetic environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead GamCare’s Youth Outreach Programme, oversee its successful expansion and continue to strategically develop the Programme.
  • Provide strategic oversight of the whole Programme, ensuring that it demonstrates impact and continues to attract funding opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with networks of stakeholders to champion the programme and generate external support.
  • Identify and pursue innovative development opportunities; leading the programme in lucrative new directions as opportunities arise.
  • Provide line management of the Youth Outreach Manager, Northern Ireland Development Manager and Digital Communications Manager, as well as oversight of the wider Programme Team of c.25 staff.
  • Hold accountability for the Programme operating within timescales and budgets, and for meeting the KPIs set by the funder.
