This is an exciting time to join Settle as we look to invest in and grow our fundraising and development capabilities. As Senior Fundraising Officer, you’ll be working to generate income which will enable Settle to expand its provision, reach its strategic goals and, ultimately, make a real difference to the amazing young people we serve.
You’ll work closely with our senior leadership and support team to help deliver our fundraising strategy. Reporting directly to our Head of Fundraising, you’ll lead on writing grant applications, reporting to funders and managing our prospects pipeline and you’ll support the running of fundraising campaigns and events too. Professional experience required

Main duties and responsibilities
Trust and foundations management (25% of work)
- Identifying, researching and engaging with potential trust and foundation core funders (for GRP’s operating costs)
- Writing and submitting persuasive grant applications and evaluation reports to GRP’s existing/potential core funders
- Supporting Chief Project Officer in presentation and pitching of GRP’s upcoming comprehensive campaign for multi-year core funding
- Assistance with calls, meetings and presentations with potential core funders
Event coordination (25% of work)
- Assist with coordination of GRP fundraising events for various target audiences, including large panel discussions, small/medium-sized networking events
- Coordination of venue hire, panellist outreach, invitation design/distribution/follow-ups, guestlist tracking, name badge production, preparation on the day and oversight, etc
Donor stewardship (25% of work)
- Relationship-building with individual and corporate donors to:
- GRP’s portfolio of climate charities (portfolio funding)
- GRP’s operating costs (core funding)
- Assistance with impact report production; coordination of report distribution
- Coordination of donor thank-you notes, newsletters, webinars, feedback solicitation, etc.
- Develop comprehensive donor stewardship journey to ensure donors fully understand their impact and develop a deeper connection to GRP
Public relations (25% of work)

Raising Futures Kenya is an award-winning small UK charity, working closely alongside a wonderful partner NGO in Kenya to deliver a hugely successful vocational training and business skills programme called Seed of Hope.
Since 2002 Seed of Hope has supported over 4,000 disadvantaged young people aged 14-25 in Kenya with the opportunity to learn a skilled trade, computer skills and business skills. We are looking for a talented storyteller and writer to join our small team in the UK and create exceptional content. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Senior Bid Writer to join our Business Development team working on tender opportunities, tracking new and existing business and handling of new contracts for POhWER.
POhWER needs to increase and diversify its income to achieve greater financial sustainability. To do this we need to grow our services to reach new parts of the UK and new areas of work. Our Bid Writers coordinate the organisation’s response to all tenders. This includes re-tendering for our existing services as well as responding to tenders for services in new areas, or new services in our existing areas.

· Take ownership of the bid response, style and format and overseeing it through the production process.

The Role
As an experienced campaign manager and copy-writer, you will support the Experience team to develop and deliver marketing approaches and journey communications, primarily for beneficiary and health/social care professional audiences.
