The Marketing and Communications Department
Battersea’s Marketing & Communications department is responsible for communicating the breadth of the organisation’s work in an engaging and memorable way. Though our award-winning campaigns, we use our influence to affect change for dogs and cats within and beyond our gates; building Battersea’s reputation on a national and international scale. Hybrid working policy

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst who can help guide the RCSLT’s development, analysis and communication of data about the speech and language therapy profession. This is a new role and your expertise, and skills will have an immediate and lasting impact.

The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) is the professional body for speech and language therapists in the United Kingdom (UK). We support and represent over 22,000 members while operating nationally across our offices in London, Belfast, Edinburgh and Cardiff.

The role
As our new Data Analyst, you will be a key partner for different RCSLT teams working on a wide range of projects, from analysing data about the speech and language therapy workforce, about students and help us understand the impact that SLTs make in their work.
You will help build the data capabilities of the whole organisation using tools that bring data to our members while using critical evaluation to bring depth of understanding about the profession.
We offer flexible working locations, either hybrid working (working a minimum of two days per week from our London Bridge office) or home-based with travel to our London office once or twice per month.

Purpose of Role
We are looking for an insightful and pro-active Data Analyst. This role is based within our Income and Marketing Department, reporting to the Head of Membership and working closely with our IT team.
You will lead the delivery of the Ramblers’ supporter selections, design and implement data solutions to drive supporter engagement and increase efficiencies and deliver data insights to staff members and volunteers about our audiences. We are looking for someone with experience in Python, SQL and Tableau.

The role
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the organisation to use data in its operations, using first party and third-party data sources to facilitate more informed and reliable decision making. Ensure data is relevant, accurate, and accessible by creating, maintaining, and promoting dashboards (through Tableau) for staff and volunteers.
- Lead on developing and improving new processes and automations to save organisational time and increase supporter engagement. This will include marketing automations such as welcome journeys for members.
- Deliver data selections in a timely manner, utilising insights to improve response, and where appropriate segmenting data. Support teams in developing testing plans to improve future outcomes and provide data insights following the campaigns and recommendations for future.
- Create and maintain processes allowing for self-service of simple or regularly scheduled selections by staff members (currently accessed through Tableau).
- Share responsibility for data imports within the organisation. Provide support as appropriate to the IT team to ensure information flows between our systems (Salesforce, the Data Warehouse, Mail Chimp etc) in an accurate and timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Income and Marketing Department to develop and implement data driven approaches to income generation forecasting and increasing supporter engagement.
- Maintain accurate supporter information in an accessible and secure way through IT systems such as the CRM and Data Warehouse in accordance with data and charity legislation.
This role works within the Income and Marketing Department, and the majority of the work is focused on supporting this Department. The post holder however would be providing support across the organisation and would work very closely with our IT team.
To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required of the post holder by the Ramblers.

Knowledge and Experience
Essential:
- Familiarity with a general-purpose programming language ideally Python (majority of processes currently built in Python)
- Experience using Tableau
- Knowledge and experience of SQL
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical terms and process in an appropriate way for a variety of audiences
- First-class data analytical skills, including experience using segmentation modelling and analysing results for direct marketing.
Desirable:
- Experience working with data in the not-for-profit sector
- Experience in using a marketing automation tool such as Mailchimp and or Marketing Cloud

As part of our team expansion plans, we are looking for a CRM solution developer to work as part of Girlguiding's IT Team. The CRM solution developer will be responsible for optimising and enhancing the charity's use of the Dynamics 365 CRM platform, user portal, and associated integrations. The role will champion the best use of Dynamics 365 to support the IT & Digital strategies and transformation programmes.
This role will be a trusted specialist in D365 implementations whose role will be to propose, design, and develop new solutions that benefit the organisation aligned to Girlguiding strategic goals. The role will be supported by a CRM analyst position, and a broader team of business analysts and technical specialists.

We are looking for a Junior Product Owner to play a pivotal role in the charity’s journey towards achieving a Digital First strategy.
This is a remote, flexible working role, with excellent benefits.

Salary: £32,300 – £38,000 per annum

About the Role
Positioned within the Digital Transformation team, you will own and manage the website on WordPress while working closely with the Senior Project Manager and Business Analyst to deliver innovative digital products that enhance the efficiency, decision-making, and user experience for both internal and external stakeholders.
The role involves contributing to the definition of product vision, managing the product backlog, and ensuring that development efforts align with the strategic goals of digital transformation. You will be instrumental in facilitating the transition of ideas into actionable project plans, maintaining a seamless user-centric approach across all digital interfaces, and supporting the development and delivery of digital solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organisation and its stakeholders.
About You
You will have experience in product ownership or management, ideally within a digital or technology-focused environment with an educational background in a relevant field. While formal qualifications are valued, equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
You will also have experience of:
- Working with cross-functional teams to deliver digital products or services
- Agile methodologies and principles, with hands-on experience in backlog management and iterative development cycles
- Gathering, scope definition, and user story creation, with a keen eye for detail in documenting processes and product features
- Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies, particularly experience with JIRA for tracking development tasks and Agile project management
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite for effective communication and document creation, with a strong emphasis on Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations
- SharePoint, for document management and team collaboration, ensuring that project documents are easily accessible and organised within the team and across the organisation
- Utilising digital collaboration tools to work effectively with remote teams, including proficiency in video conferencing tools and collaborative workspaces.
You will also have an aptitude for learning and adopting new tools and technologies, with a willingness to develop expertise in areas such as digital analytics, user experience (UX) design, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Previous involvement in digital transformation initiatives or projects, with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities presented by digital change within an organisation will also be an advantage in this role.
