POSITION SUMMARY
The main purpose of this role is to provide day to day support to the management of CARE International’s global platforms (website and social media), monitor performance and support effective and timely communications planning globally. This is an exciting entry level position for those passionate about digital communications and engagement, and its intersection with social justice.
Main Responsibilities: - Key areas of responsibility but not limited to:
Support to Global Digital Platform Management (70%)
· Support the day-to-day management of CARE International Secretariat’s digital platforms including website and social media.
· Producing copy and graphics according to the guidelines agreed with Global Content Manager.
· Editing and uploading content to the CARE International website according to the digital strategy and guidelines set by the Global Content Manager.
· Act as the focal point for contact with the website development agency, overseeing technical upgrades and developments
· Support communications planning including management of a global external calendar with relevant dates and events to guide digital content creation.
· Support the management of social media dashboards and the elaboration of performance analysis with a view to improving outreach and optimizing content.
· Support the knowledge management of relevant materials for the digital content team.
· Actively seek out new trends and opportunities in the digital space.
· Support the Global Content Manager in other activities as required.
Support to Global Communications Working Group Coordination (20%)
· Support the Global Content Manager in implementing global communities of practice and content support.
· Manage internal engagement plan and calendar for communications team, ensuring timely coordination moments, sourcing translations, and setting up technical requirements
Support to Advocacy and Communications Department (10%)
· Work with the Knowledge Management and Learning officer in support of strong internal communications, in alignment with the wider CI Secretariat, using the latest digital technologies to support confederation engagement with the work of the CI Secretariat.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Required
· 1-2 years of experience in website and social media management
· Solid understanding of communications principles and approaches and excellent communication skills
· Experience working with a Content Management System, with an understanding of SEO principles. Knowledge of Drupal a distinct advantage.
· Competent in the use of Canva or similar platforms for social media content production. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, video-editing software, and graphic design skills a distinct advantage.
· Excellent command of the English language. Knowledge of French, Spanish or Arabic a distinct advantage.
Desired
· Experience in digital communications and content production for an international relief or aid organization
· Strong knowledge of CARE's work or work of peer organization

About the Foundation:
The Avicenna Foundation was set up in 2023 to to support outstanding young British Muslims by providing them with scholarships for their undergraduate degree. The scholarships are mainly focused on awarding scholarships in the Social Sciences and Humanities for those interested in politics, policy-making and becoming agents of positive change.
Alongside the scholarship, the Avicenna Foundation runs a development programme for the scholars to expand their skills and abilities in various areas like leadership, communication and collaboration.
The Foundation has developed immensely in the first year with the launch of the charity; onboarding of it’s first cohort of 30 scholars and the development of a leadership programme. It now needs propelling into the next stage as the charity develops to ensure a robust charity structure and programme in place.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the charity, and manage changes required within programmes and activities as a result of changing external landscapes or contexts.
- Implement strategies for advertising the scholarships, receiving and reviewing applications, shortlisting candidates, conducting interviews, and making final selection decisions. Some of these things are already in place and may need reviewing and enhancing.
- Work with the Scholar Development Coordinator to oversee the leadership development programme, provide guidance and help the programme to grow.
- Maintain regular communication with the scholars, their progress, and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Ensure programme objectives and outcomes align with the overall strategy and aims of the Foundation, and are realistic and achievable within timeframes and budgets.

What the job involves
The Policy and Health Influencing teams are responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.
As the Policy and Health Influencing Coordinator, you're key to supporting these teams. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work and sometimes arranging important stakeholder events and meetings ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capturing the outcomes of our external engagement.
In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator and know how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. About the role
This is a vital role supporting the Workforce Development team through the effective coordination of activities associated with a number of initiatives carried out within WorldSkills UK, including the completion of an award-winning pilot programme supporting education institutions to mainstream excellence into the delivery of technical education.

Role purpose

The successful applicant will work with the Senior Workforce Development Manager in supporting a team of High-Performance Skills Coaches based across the UK.

Key tasks and responsibilities
1. Programme coordination:
• Acting as the secretariat for the internal Centre of Excellence project team and external steering groups; preparing reports, papers, minutes and actions for monthly and quarterly meetings.
• Contributing to the planning of activities/tasks in accordance with the agreed project plan to ensure delivery on time and to budget, raising purchase orders and tracking spend against forecast.

2. Job Description
The Head of External Engagement is a key leadership post within the organisation. The role encompasses responsibility for the development and delivery of the organisation’s external activity, including profile, brand identity and stakeholder engagement (including the public), fundraising, and driving income generation in new areas, notably commercial partnerships.
