The Role
The Head of Partnerships and Fundraising is responsible for the majority of income generation for our charity. The Switch raises income from corporate volunteering partnerships and through grant applications to other trusts and charities, which together contribute circa £800,000 per year. This is a role that requires strategic thinking, relationship and negotiation skills, and the ability to meet income targets.
This role will manage and grow our current key corporate partners, ensuring sustainability and longevity in our partnerships. The person will be responsible for communicating effectively with corporate partners on a strategic level, to understand how we can improve our volunteering offer and communicate impact to their business.
The job-holder will seek new partnerships in diverse industries where we have fewer stakeholders, to ensure our young people work with companies and volunteers from wide-ranging sectors.
In this position you will scope fundraising opportunities from grant and trusts, and be adept at assessing our viability so that applications we submit have a higher rate of success than average.
As Head of Partnerships and Fundraising, you will create new income streams which The Switch has not considered before, for example legacy funding, individual giving, corporate match funding. This will improve our financial stability.
In addition to income generation, this role will lead the Partnerships team and manage two to three staff as follows :
1. Our Corporate Partnerships and Volunteer Manager - oversees all volunteer logistics, including maintaining volunteer records and distributing relevant briefing materials to ensure volunteers are well-prepared for their role. Some time dedicated to fundraising too.
2. Our Communication Coordinator – leads on our regular comms including our digital newsletter, social media pages, and bespoke comms for projects or funders.
3. Coordinator TBC.
Details
· The Head of Partnerships and Fundraising leads the Partnerships Team and reports to the CEO.
· Working hours are typically 9am – 5pm Monday – Thursday, and 9am – 4pm Fridays.
· Working from home (WFH) is typically 2 days a week, with Wednesdays mandatory in the office.
· Flexibility will be required to cover meetings or events outside of these hours and WFH days.

The Head of Finance is a key member of Tara Theatre’s senior management team, overseeing the company’s financial processes and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Legacy income is one of the most significant sources of funding for our charity. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding and maximising that income through diligent case management, effective communication with solicitors and executors, and a firm understanding of probate law and best practice. Your work directly contributes to our ability to care for people affected by terminal illness.
Experience across all UK jurisdictions is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of specific, residuary, and reversionary legacies across the UK.
- Ensure Marie Curie receives its full legal entitlement, in line with Wills and settlements.
- Handle correspondence efficiently, updating records on our FirstClass 4 database and meeting internal service standards.
- Act as the lead charity where appropriate and liaise with co-beneficiaries.
- Monitor and progress open cases to ensure timely completion.
- Review estate accounts carefully, ensuring accuracy and appropriate application of tax exemptions.
- Obtain tax deduction certificates where cost-effective to do so.
- Ensure funds are allocated correctly to restricted or unrestricted purposes as specified in Wills.
- Comply with Law Society guidelines regarding Non-Contentious Costs.
- Represent Marie Curie’s interests in shared estates and collaborate with legal professionals and the public.

Role Purpose
Responsible for documenting and maintaining up-to-date fundraising income processes, ensuring the accurate and efficient integration of donation data from multiple platforms into the organisation’s CRM (Salesforce). Focus on maintaining current and comprehensive supporter records to optimise engagement and maximise fundraising income. Provide strategic insight through audience analysis and data reporting. Main Responsibilities
Specific Duties
- Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing fundraising income recording processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage income data processes ongoing, imports and exports of all fundraising data.
- To manage and execute data imports from the Winston’s Wish website and various online giving platforms, ensuring accuracy of data, monitoring, and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities
1. IT Coordination
- Oversee the Law Centre’s IT systems to ensure they are secure, efficient, and meet the organisation's needs.

- Liaise with external IT providers to coordinate maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting.

- Prepare reports from the case management system and other data collection tools to feed into reports and funding bids.
- Develop new reports to feed into our billing and accountancy as well as various audits.

4. Data Protection

The AI Opportunity Fund:
The AI Opportunity Fund, led by the Centre for Public Impact with support from Google . org, is currently a €16 million initiative aimed at empowering underserved workers across Europe with essential AI skills. The programme has selected 73 organisations from hundreds of applications to provide tailored AI training to 20,000 workers across 24 European countries. These organisations focus on diverse communities, including rural job seekers, underemployed women, and public sector workers, aiming to bridge the digital divide and promote economic resilience. The initiative underscores AI's potential to drive social mobility and equitable growth across the continent. We are also hoping to scale our work in this area in the future.
Position Overview:
At CPI we believe people are at the heart of our success. We are seeking a Grants Officer (Associate) based in Europe to join our CPI Europe (CPIE) team. Your role is critical in ensuring the smooth delivery of the AI Opportunity Fund. This role is responsible for the effective administration of grants including ongoing due diligence and accurate record keeping, contributing to assessing proposals and organisations, stewarding and maintaining effective relationships with grantees and wider partners, and ensuring compliance, timely reporting and payments. This role does not involve managing others.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Grant Strategy & Development

Contribute to shaping the strategy, design and execution of the AI Opportunity Fund.

Support Management to ensure excellent donor stewardship of Google . org, building their confidence in CPIE as a thought and delivery partner.

Work collaboratively with programme teams to gather necessary information, data, and insights for compelling letters of inquiry, grant applications and contract bids.
2. Grant Management & Compliance

Oversee the implementation of awarded grants and contracts, ensuring adherence to donor guidelines, reporting requirements, and project targets and timelines.

Actively manage programmatic risks and conduct ongoing due diligence on grantee and wider partners to ensure compliance.

Prepare and submit accurate and timely grant reports to key stakeholders in collaboration with finance and programme teams.

Monitor grant budgets and expenditures, flagging any discrepancies or potential issues.

Serve as the primary point of contact for grantees, fostering positive relationships, triaging and addressing inquiries and supporting them to deliver effectively.

The Cathedral Chapter is in the process of refeshing its Mission and Vision within a Strategic Development Plan (due to be published in early 2026), and as part of this the Cathedral’s fundraising priorities will be decided and a Fundraising Committee formed to oversee and direct the task of building sustainable income within a fundraising strategy. About the role
This is a new role created at IRMO to strengthen how we measure, understand and communicate our impact. It sits at the heart of a learning-focused, community-led organisation working for migrant rights and social justice. We are open to hiring at either Officer or Lead level, depending on the experience and skills of the successful candidate.
We’re looking for someone with strong experience in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) who can take the lead in reviewing our current MEL systems and practices, identifying what’s working well and where there’s room for improvement. You’ll help embed more consistent, robust approaches to evidence and learning across the organisation, with the aim of improving the quality of our services and better demonstrating our impact to funders, partners and the community.
This is a 12-month fixed-term role, with the primary goal of strengthening our MEL systems, tools and capacity. There may be potential to extend the contract, depending on organisational needs and funding.
You’ll work closely with Programme Managers to ensure that data is collected, analysed and used in ways that are meaningful and accessible — not only to meet funder requirements, but to improve how we work and support our community. You’ll also support reporting processes and help build capacity across the team around MEL tools and approaches.
