Job description

Amnesty International UK wants to reach and persuade more people with its message of freedom, justice and equality. To do this, we are searching for a Direct Marketing Executive to join the Fundraising Department and use their marketing skills to help recruit new members and donors.

About the role

You will be responsible for helping to deliver effective direct marketing strategy – recruiting new donors and members to drive income for Amnesty International UK. This role sits within the Acquisition team (part of Individual Giving), and works primarily on paid social marketing, email, PPC, as well as some direct mail/telemarketing projects.

About you

You’ll have experience of running target-driven direct and or/digital marketing campaigns. You’ll be familiar with key digital marketing channels (including social media, email and PPC). In addition, you’ll understand fundraising principles and techniques, preferably having worked within fundraising in a previous role.

Your strong planning and organisation skills will allow you to handling multiple projects at once. Your ability to write compelling copy and understand what makes a great fundraising proposition will stand you in good stead. And since you'll be building relationships with external agencies as well as other Amnesty UK staff, strong communication skills are vital.
